INFORMATION FOR LONDON STOP THE WAR GROUPS
1) THE MEDIA AND THE WAR
The role of the media in the war on Iraq and the "war on terror" will be
discussed at a rally called by Media Workers Against the War, which is open to
all. Speakers include Independent columnist and comedian Mark Steel, Guardian
journalist Jonathan Steele, Iraqi writer and Guardian columnist Sami Ramadani,
Yvonne Ridley from the Islam Channel and Tim Lezard, president of the National
Union of Journalists.
