Nothing new there, Global warming is not the most pressing issue society faces, Peak-Oil most certainly is. It is just that the politicians are not willing to face (or more likely expose) the truth about the impending energy crisis.

The global warming issue is likely affected to some degree by man, but the oil will run out long before the earth is damaged beyond repair by mans burning of fossil fuels.

I know most here should have seen Oil, Smoke and Mirrors by now, but for those who have not yet...
