20-August-07 around 11pm
I haven't listened to the Radio or watched TV for about a year.
However today listening to the radio for about 10 minutes I realised that I am missing nothing.
I tuned in 'for intellectual stimulation' to Radio 3 to find some American discussing the work of WH Auden. It was some guy called Piggot and someone else called Dana something or other.
Then I tune into radio 4 to find some other American, Steven Pinker who happens to be a Chomsky acolyte discussing the 'English' language, and the adaptation, generation and use of new words. For those who haven’t read about Chomsky and his role in perpetuating the 9/11 myth, please do so, Chapter 5 of Barrie Zwicker’s “Towers of Deception” is on-line here: http://www.geocities.com/agent_noam_chomsky
I find it quite infuriating, but it is these very same Americans that have done everything in their capacity to b-a-s-t-a-r-d-i-s-e the English language. Their current abuse of the language to develop ulterior and deceptive phrases to redefine the meanings of words such as torture, genocide, war, terror, surely only exemplify this. What happened to the country of Orwell, Dickens, C.S. Lewis, Stevenson, Carroll and yes, even Salman Rushdie? We now need Americans to lecture and teach us to speak English?
They have hijacked the English language; they have hijacked Science, Mathematics, and even Reality. We are told now only an American can tell you what’s what, and what’s not! We are to now believe that it has to be authorized by some American otherwise any discourse you have is irrelevant? American Science in particular thrives and survives on the work of Indian and Chinese slaves. These are PhDs, shipped in by the tens of thousand every year, who slave away, doing the real work, for which their masters take the credit. All this in exchange for a green-card. Don't get me wrong, there are similarities in the UK, but the Americans have it on an industrial scale, where we are a cottage industry.
If I travel to California, would I equally find someone from the UK discussing English on the radio? Probably not, because you’d have to be speaking Spanglish for anyone to understand a word you said for starters.
To think that there is no one in this country of 65 million people, or from the Universities which scatter this country who is able to discuss the English language, or the poems of WH Auden.
Well apparently not, because we now have to travel to the United States, or at least the BBC does, to find intellectuals with any authority. Because in the UK, we are second/third rate. Obviously we don't build buildings that collapse in free fall speed at the first sign of a cigarette fire, or manage a disaster in the correct fashion (Hurricane Katrina).
I find it sad that for anything to have intellectual merit or worth in the UK then it must be 'American', or have an American stamp of officialdom. Obviously everything we do in this country is nonsense, and doesn't work properly. It's just insulting and a total affront to being British.
This has everything to do with 9/11 and 7/7, it is all part of dominant mythology creation of the 21st century perpetuated by the BBC. Myth creation by the BBC, more so than any other news and current affairs corporation, the BBC which even had a passable reputation for fidelity and integrity. This continual portrayal of American pseudo-intellectuals creates a subconscious reality, amongst the intelligentsia in this country concerning the American establishment and what they say. It puts them beyond question, beyond reproach and beyond repudiation.
We follow Americans and Europeans to our detriment.
Sycophant ye not. |
