This new news channel needs to be supported by all of us who wish for an end to the political nonsense and lies which Bush, Blair and their cronies and the mainstream media have thrust upon us.
The news links from http://www.therealnews.com can be embedded directly into your websites from their own servers, see our page at:
Click on "share" just under the video you wish to embed, and the HTML you can use will then be displayed.
It is imperative that we spread the knowledge of the new site. They are only funded by monies from people like us, and I personally wish them every success.
I found them on Youtube, just use the video link and add them there to if you have an account that is _________________ 'Come and see the violence inherent in the system.

The Real News
Comments of (some) supporters:
Joanne St Lewis: some excellent points, sounds very promising but mentions a Independent World Television ! Could this be Independant World Television that goes along nicely with the One World Religion, and the One World Government?
Sashi Kumar: similar to above and also mentions Independent World Television.
Pamela de Maigret: Florida voting fraud electronic voting machines, and Independent World Television.
Tom Fenton: on the status of American journalism,is the most misleading mentions IWT and says the BBC is to be admired for it’s independence from government, and relates the sexing up of the Iraq dossier controversy as proof!
-----------------
I’m bored with this now, as what they all saying really is “Why have national networks, when we should have a World Television Network to BS the world.”
The people will not have this forced upon them , they will demand it.

No it's not. Let's pause for some thinking shall we.

Ahm, and how exactly do we know that?
How do we know what we think we know?
All this lush presentation, the facilities, all these reporters around the world...are financed by whom exactly?
So you want me to believe these guys opened up their shop with the prospect of, maybe, being financed by enough $10 bills from around the globe so that, maybe, they will stay in business.
And in the meantime their reporters and staff will be eating what? Maybe's?
And how do they know they'll still be in business for the 2008 US elections?
Do you guys really buy this?!
Damn I don't remember opening my purse to finance any news service.
I concur with a previous post: they'll have to try harder than this.
I'm afraid the problem of news services in capitalist 'democracies' is harder than this.

Well acrobat and one or two others on this thread, I'm afraid that we'll have to agree to disagree. I'm not sure what you are wanting here, a new 'News' network to come straight out with "911 was an inside job"?? Cos, in my opinion anyway, that just ain't going to happen. But, well, oneday in the future...
Several of the articles on the Real News website are looking at the events of the World with a critical eye, indeed, far more critical than most of the biaised droning blurb spouted by the maintream media. For that reason alone I think we should be supportive of what they say they are trying to achieve. I don't agree with every report on this site, but then I believe that no-one can agree with everything on any site.
I like a couple of Gore Vidal's interviews. I particulary like the little clip we have embedded on our Cornish website, and I also like the clip regarding the way Bush and his cronies have casually dismissed the statistics regarding the number of civilian Iraqis who have been killed as a result of the illegal occupations of both Britain and America.
And if ever their stated aims turn out to be lies and obfuscation, then it is everyones' simple choice to withdraw that support. Until then, they deserve a chance.

Acrobat, you are well off course here, in my opinion. I would warrant most independent businesses would far rather prefer the chance to obtain an income of worldwide users of $10 each from those willing to subscribe. There are millions of folks around the world, so their market is vast. Just think about it, think really carefully.
But also think about the cost of setting up a competitor business similar to the myriad of trash orchestrated news, much of it done by Murdoch's empire, which is currently on offer.
Sorry to disappoint you, but I have to continue to agree to disagree with you. And my comment "Let's give them a chance" wasn't meant to be read as deprecating my earlier comment "'it is imperative to spread news about this channel". It was meant to bolster it.
And as an aside, have you seen the latest feature on their site today, entitled "Iran: Is it weapons or oil?"
By all means feel free to give these guys a go. I have explained why I think their credibility is already compromised.
You fail to recognize that the infrastructure they already seem to have (staff, premises, website) requires significant amounts of up-front capital. Where did this come from? Loans against potential future subscriptions?
Finally, I'm not disappointed when folks disagree with me. Disagreement is a constructive process.
US troops have opened fire at Iraqi civilians protesting against lack of security in northern Baquba, killing six and injuring five others.
Speaking to the local news agency, residents of the northern Baquba's al-Khalis district said Tuesday that they were criticizing the "deteriorating security conditions and services" in the area.
The US military, which under international conventions is responsible to establish security in the country as an occupier force, did not comment on the incident.
In another incident, also on Tuesday, gunmen stormed into a house and killed nine members of one family in the village of Muwelha near Latifiya, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, an Interior Ministry official said.
A police captain in Latifiya, who requested anonymity, said the dead include three women and a 2-year-old girl while two other women were also wounded.
The motive for the attack was not yet clear.
