Bush threatens nuclear war.
Diary Entry by Ed Martin
In a Tuesday, August 28 speech, George Bush said that Iran's activities threaten to put the region "under the shadow of a nuclear holocaust."

In a speech on Tuesday, August 28, George Bush said that Iran's activities threaten to put the region "under the shadow of a nuclear holocaust." His very words, a direct quote.
The evidence that Iran has nuclear weapons is the same as the evidence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction: none, nada, zip, nothing. To put that in plain words that even a Republican can understand, Iran has no nuclear weapons. The US does have nuclear weapons. The inevitable conclusion we must draw from those two facts is that when there is the nuclear holocaust in Iran that George Bush is trying really hard to bring about, it can only be George Bush who is the cause of it. This is simple logic that anyone can figure out.
The threat of nuclear war from someone as unstable, disoriented and delusional as George Bush would normally make bold headlines. As of 8 PM Wednesday, August 29, I could find no mention at all about Bush's nuclear threat at either the Washington Post's or the New York Times' websites. I found it in an article from the Guardian/UK. The people in the UK find it significant enough to report that Bush threatens nuclear war that would lead to a world wide nuclear holocaust.
Should George Bush make good his threat to nuke Iran, I'm afraid that the civilized countries of the world would be entirely justified in taking action against the US as a rogue nation that is making another unprovoked, unjustified, aggressive war on another country that is in no way a threat.
If Bush keeps pushing his desire for war with Iran, nuclear or otherwise, other countries just might adopt Bush's own strategy of "preemptive war" to prevent them from being next in line for Bush's madness. Bush doesn't realize that he isn't the only one who can use preemptive war. And, since Bush has proven that he is the threat to other nations that he falsely claimed to be a threat to the US, the other nations could take his threat seriously and act on it.
The people of the US, especially the members of Congress, are sitting around, fat and happy, considering George Bush as just the buffoon that he's proven himself to be. He is that, but he is also a very, very dangerous buffoon. He is a danger to the world, but he is the most dangerous man to the people of the United States that there has ever been.
What in the world are we going to do about George Bush? This thing with Bush has gotten completely out of hand. He's out of control and the people who are responsible for controlling him went off on vacation and left him in charge. I don't think the people of the United States can put up with any more of Bush's mindless detachment from reality. Whatever it is that we do, it better be damn quick. He's going to convince some fool to show him where the button is and he'll push it, just to see what happens. And then we're all in for it.
