This is a week or so old, but I wanted to post it anyway. So, this guy provides links to admittedly pirated movies and tv shows that have been uploaded to the internet. All he's doing is giving links to where this stuff is; he's not storing it on his computer(s) or uploading it himself, just giving the links.
His site gets shut down, and he gets arrested. I have to ask... for what, exactly? Have things gotten so draconian that we're arresting people now simply because they point others in the general direction of an illegal act? I wonder if we're going to start charging people who say "Yeah, you can get drugs downtown from such-and-such" as 1st-class dealers... _________________ "What about a dance club that only let in deaf people? Yes this is a very disturbing event.
As a regular user of that site i am very disappointed.
It is legal for people to provide links to other sites such as this very forum does, so why is tv-links illegal?
Obviously the hollywood zionist mafia have seen their takings go down considerably. Most people now watch movies online after all isnt that the whole point of windows media center?
Mnay others watch Chinese dvds.
But all of this does not seem to have closed down a single Hollywood studio and actors are paid more than ever as are studio executives.
In the Uk in supermarkets a recent dvd will cost up to £14.97 for something that is non returnable and may be a dissapointment.
Online it will cost nothing.
Pirate dvd can be as little as £1.50.
That is the problem surely if they reduced retail prices to more sensible levels they would drive the online pirates out of business. In fact i dont think the tv-links is anything like as dodgy as they used to call Napster.
And i dont think that tv-links even makes any money. _________________

If "Hollywood" had made a single video along the lines of "Loose Change" or any of the 9/11 truth videos then they would have a point, and we would not be in the state we are in. As a mouthpiece of the most evil group of humanity, making movies that perpetrate the lies of 9/11, they deserve no respect. * them and their "royalties". |

it is theft. However "convenient" it is ,theft is theft.
and as much as it goes against every socialist(ish) bone in my body i do have to say that
if they purposly forwarded "links"to copyrighted material, then its a fair cop eh?no?
I use p2p

but if i was to hear a cop knock at the door this very min?
really?
Im just an oportunistic little thief!
no excuses
no whinging
its a fair cop
Intelectual property is still property. |
I'm not arguing about the rights of intellectual property, I just think they're stepping on particularly sketchy ground with this arrest. Hell, are they going to start busting everyone who links to a Daily Show vid? The intranets would collapse in on itself... _________________ "What about a dance club that only let in deaf people?
