Be suspicious. Collect the evidence. Don't jump to conclusions.

Quote from ITN
"Militants linked to al-Qaeda, angered by Mrs Bhutto's support for the US war on terrorism, had threatened to assassinate her."

Expect they'll be getting those experts on international (anti) terrorism,
lining up to give us the rundown on how it isn't.

What is behind the bombs, is probably US unhappiness with Musharaff because he is not keen on any attacks on Iran. Indeed, Pakistan has made public statements to this effect. This is probably what has been behind the current movements against Mushafaff i.e. the lawyers and who ever else is being sponsored by the UK and the US. The anti-Musharaff movement is being used either to pressure him or get rid of him.

Bhutto is also being used but I don't think they trust her either. Clearly, she has not given her support for an attack on Iran - thus the bomb.

Benazir Bhutto is half iranian. her mother.
The problem with all of this is as everyone has said, the Americans have been pulling the strings in Pakistan for many years. they used pakistan against the russians in Afghanistan.
Pakistan and Iran are aliies so it is not logical for any invasion of Iran to have Pakistani support.
Dont forget Pakistan already has nuclear bombs and missile technology which was to a large degree financed by the Iranians.
The underground tests took place on the border between Iran and Pakistan.

Bhutto is a dangerous leader though as she is calling for US troops to actually bomb targets in Pakistan. It is just too convenient that he bombs went off after she had gone inside the armoured vehicle. Surely logic would have dictated that a sniper could have taken her out at any time.
There are 3 power bases Bhutto, Sharif and Musharref. All of these are western stooges but at the same time they are all against attacks on Iran.
These bombs have all the hallmarks of CIA tactics designed to build support for Bhutto and allow Musharref to crackdown on disidents.
