I totally agree with chek. From the perspective of someone told to 'grow up', these type of threads are pointless and self-effacing.

This uneasy balance between NPT and non-NPT is continually exacerbated by the fact that they debate with each other. When an NPT thread is started, leave it alone, walk away, DON’T reply. They’ll soon get bored if no-one ever responds. You encourage them to actively participate by engaging in interaction.

It seems that despite NPT’ers still being on roughly the same side as non-NPT’ers, they constitute a form of critical analysis outside that championed by the mainstay. Hence, they should be corralled into a dedicated thread of NPT, still accessible to all, but nonetheless segregated.

However, perhaps without them in the general mix, many users here would find the site rather lacklustre and the whole NPT issue adds a bit of spice. You can’t have it both ways though, NPT is a legitimate viewpoint or it isn’t.

You are accepting them by default by engaging them in debate – if you want it to stop, them ignore them. You aren’t forced to read anything you find questionable, let alone respond in any way.

Judging by Killtown's adoption of prole art bollock's tendency for daft polls, his increased level of trolling (while denouncing all opponents as trolls) suggests to me he's trying to push it just far enough to get banned anyway. So he can weave exciting tales to his congregation about how he was banned for 'telling the truth' by the shills controlling the site and avoid his inability to counter objections to his 'research' with actual arguments.
He will probably go the way of the Fred, burning himself as a martyr.

But I think if Killtown actually comes up with good arguments, he deserves an opportunity to put them forward like anyone else.
