I have just sent the following to the BBC online complaints section.
A reply has been requested. Can I suggest others do the same - after today's referral by the IAEA of Iran to the UN and the threats issued by both sides, it would now seem that time is running out and that military action against Iran by the neocons could be sooner rather than later.

Justin,
I sent e-mails to Helen Boaden and the news feedback addresses (basically a rip off of your post yesterday - but I removed references to Illuminati etc and added a few words of my own - about their news organisation being bypassed and soon marginalised.
Cheers

I just received a response from Helen Boaden! Actually has some acknowledgements in it! My response to her is below that:
========================================
Dear Mr Johnson
Thank you for your email of 7th March about Newsnight's coverage of Iran on 6th March.
It's certainly true that the Iranian oil bourse is an interesting development, and certainly not one that we have deliberately avoided reporting. Infact Newsnight's Business Correspondent Paul Mason has been looking into it in recent weeks. However, I'm sure you'll understand it is impossible to cover all aspects of a multi-faceted and complex subject such as Iran in a single programme. We felt that on the day of the IAEA talks in Vienna it made sense to focus on the nuclear issue; the diplomatic options; and the status and reputation of President Ahmedinijad.
We may well return to the the issue of the oil bourse at a future date. You may be interested to learn that the programme has been told by an Iranian government representative that it will not, in fact, trade in Euros.
Yours sincerely
Helen Boaden
Director, BBC News
========================================
Dear Ms Boaden,
Thank you again for taking the time and trouble to respond to my concerns regarding the Iran situation and for the new information that you mentioned, regarding the Oil Bourse. I wonder what the name of the government Iran representative was, and what the exact information he gave was.
This information, however, does not come as a total surprise. I have been following the statements of Texas Congressman Ron Paul, who now feels that the US Propaganda machine is grinding more slowly over the Iran issue (see http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/march2006/160306wardelayed.htm), as opposition to the Iraq war increases and people question the wisdom of striking against Iran over an unproven issue of it being a nuclear threat. Ron Paul has been extremely critical of the current Bush Administration (another matter which has not, as far as I am aware, been reported and is therefore another indicator of something of a failure in impartiality in the BBC's reporting).
Ron Paul has, for example, championed opposition to the Patriot Act (being based as it is on false flag terrorist acts - as proved by the unreported Physics which the ST911 group is bringing to the fore). People like me are becoming more aware, for example, that Israel has had a secret Nuclear programme since at least the 1960's (as covered in the BBC's own reporting recently - well done - and in a 2003 "Correspondent" documentary - even better).
The remarks of Ron Paul suggest that certain people seem to have a considerable degree of control over how the situation unfolds in Iran - it seems clear to me that "strings are being pulled" and the media are not really analysing this "pulling" very much.
In considering people like Ron Paul, I do find it surprising that related remarks of Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney have also not been reported i.e. she said that it was doing the (US) government a favour to describe them as a "criminal syndicate." (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/february2006/140206criminalsyndi cate.htm).
Additionally, I have not heard the remarks of Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan President reported he blasted Bush as a "donkey" and "drunkard" (http://go.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=11578656 &src=rss/topNews). He has made similar remarks about Tony Blair and neither have these been reported (although the BBC has reported a number of rather anti-Venezuelan stories).
The only reports I heard today was of Bush referring to Iraq "upbeat assessment of the country's prospects".
Again, we seem to have a repeated problem of impartiality. These will all be sited as I bring my legal case against the BBC together (primarily focused on complete failure of coverage of our highly credentialed ST911 group - www.st911.org). In case you decide to include more balanced coverage, I have included a picture for you, which I took in Parliament Square on Sat 18th of March. A group of about 10 of us were involved. I rather like this picture and you are free to use it on all TV and Web news bulletins, forever, without charge - or credit (although I would prefer to be a named source, to allow more accurate and verifiable reporting). A higher resolution version and additional video footage is/are available on request.
Thank you for reading.
Yours Sincerely,
Andrew Johnson
