MAN Uni remains twinned with An-Najah Uni

In a monumental turn out today the students of Manchester University voted 2:1 to remain twinned with Palestinian University An-Najah. 300 Students are required for decorum at the meetings and this has rarely been made in the tail end of last year over many worthwhile motions. Today well over 300 voted to sever the ties and double that turned out to offer solidarity. Which is unheard of.

I was guilty of being elsewhere due to course comittment's giving Oral health education to a local school but very pleased to see how motivated Manchester can be when the issue hits home. I really thought it would go the other way this time, as the last time the issue came up was a major battle and both viewpoints campaigners were seriously organised this time around.
