Mr Brown sneeks off under cover off darkness to wish our troops a merry christmas. Will he come back alive??

'The taking of hostages is completely unjustified, wholly unacceptable and we are making it clear they will not change our policy in any way.'

When does a "prisoner" become a "hostage"?

To my shame I didnt even know 5 Brits had been taken hostage in May.

Whenever British imperialism is humiliated in its neo-colonial wars of intervention whether by Iran and the gunboat hostage crisis or the recent Sudanese events, hostage video tapes appear to get people to forget what is actually going on.

An invader of a criminal occupation cannot be a hostage by the very nature of the illegality they have committed. In reality they are prisoners of war and should be called that if what is alleged to have happened to them actually has.
