Scots ran to France and started Scottish Rite

Brown, Bliar, every where

On anther forum - two most over-represented groups are Jews and Scots

It's true. And I'm a Scot. Self-hating one? Shocked

Let's not forget how influential Scottish football was in the early days of the game

The person who wrote some good stuff on it was Irvine Welsh - no idea if it is on-line.

To be honest I have always hated the way some Scots (those on the left are actually the worst) cherry-pick their nations history, and would almost have you believe that the Scots had played no role in the British Empire, or its worst associated problem - racism.

The British Empire would have been impossible without Scottish engineers, Welsh soldiers, Irish missionaries and English administrators - but you won't hear that said too often north of the border.
