Smith to outline terror strategy

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/pressass/20080117/tuk-smith-to-outline-terror -strategy-6323e80_1.html

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is to outline the Government's strategy to tackle radicalisation among Britain's Muslims.

Her speech at the International Centre for Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence, in central London, will urge internet providers to remove al Qaida and extremists websites.

Ms Smith's first major speech on terror since she became Home Secretary comes after details of an extremist website containing threats against the Prime Minister and calling for the creation of a British al Qaida were revealed.

The speech will call for action against people who groom others to commit acts of terrorism.

The Home Office set up the Research, Information and Communication Unit specifically to counter al Qaida's efforts to manipulate individuals and groups.

A newspaper quoted Whitehall sources claiming ministers would no longer use the term "war on terror" and would refer to jihadis as "criminals".

The source is quoted as saying: "As you disrupt radicalisation you must be aware of how you describe it and must not do so in a way that is inadvertently inflammatory."

So who are the International Centre for Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence?

They are very close - interlinked trustees - to this lot

Quote:

The International Crisis Group
.......In 1993 Malloch Brown was co-founder of the International Crisis Group, which claims to be a non governmental organisations but is mostly funded by Western governments and largely staffed by ex government officials (often from the US). Chris Patten the former Conservative minister, the last governor of Hong Kong and Chair of Crisis Group's Board of Trustees writes that ‘What Crisis Group does is to fill the need that policy-makers in national governments have for smart, honest analysis and practical proposals for preventing disaster, or at least mitigating its consequences. We often find ourselves saying the things that governments would like to say but find too difficult.’[7] In other words the ICG is the vehicle for Western interests. A non governmental organisation in name, but in practice a covert cipher for western interests. After setting up the ICG Malloch Brown was appointed as a spin doctor for the World Bank – along with the IMF and the WTO the main vehicles of global neoliberal reform....

Tip of ice berg. For child safety and to cut out 'extremist' websites today, all free speech tomorrow... Web ver2 is needed to kill freedom of information. Soon we will need an ID card to access the internet. Never mind we'll still have MSM to give us info. Very Happy

I did hear that somewhere around 40% of child porn sites (bbc news) are hosted in the USA, makes me wonder why they are not closed down, or the extremist websites. Its not like its hard to trace an IP address, but then they would not be able to attack the web.

More typical BS from the security services with nothing to back it up.

Sadly, a lot of the general public are so brain damaged they'll just buy it, no questions asked.

What's the establishment staffing level at MI5 again? Wink Didn't it go up by 1500 or so?

alex jones featured the above Fox clip on his radio show on tuesday.

http://www.nw0.info/files/Radio/Alex%20Jones%20Radio%20Archive/2008/Ja nuary/aj_2008-01-15.mp3

he plays a couple of short extracts at the start, and then goes through the whole thing about a third of the way into the show (if I remember correctly) - and it makes him so mad that he goes off on a major ranting frenzy....

he also discusses the attack on brian haw and talks to a couple of members of wearechange uk at the end.

I find it quite encouraging that they are trying to cast us all as terrorists now, must mean we are having an impact and they are worried. If we were being ignored they wouldn't have to do this after all. We've got some very powerful people worried and they are pushing back, but if they push too hard too fast, they may just make a big mistake.

That's one possible interpretation.

Another is that this was always part of the plan of course.

IMO it was only a matter of time before the "them" became "us".

I think I know what you're getting at Mark, macro control with even apparent setbacks being part of their master chess plan. Is that what you meant.
