Once upon a time there were nation states in Europe which had independence in the production of energy. Coal existed and millions worked in the industry.
Now coal which is imported is made by kids in medieval conditions and the energy Europe now uses is solely coming from Russia.

The EU will soon go from independence in energy to sole dependence on Russian energy. Those who thought the British Scargill was the embodiment of evil haven't as yet the Siberian version. But they will and soon!

Kinnock did as well as leader of the Labour Party.

So did the leadership of the TUC which refused to back the miners in a General Strike.
