INTERTASS
Quote: | Subjected to several terrorist attacks after supporting the U.S. against Iraq and Afghanistan, the UK government wants to curb terrorists materials scattered over the Internet.
Following the initiatives against online child pornography, the only possible way is filtering Internet content. However, British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith did not cite the specifics of this plan.
However, it is only in China that Internet policing is enforced. Other countries tried this approach but the idea did not fly for it violates free-speech laws.
According to a news report, Smith disclosed the government is working closely with the Internet industry regarding the implementation of this plan. Britain’s Internet Service Provider Association, on the contrary, is afraid this might bring more lawsuits to the providers.
in spite of these potential problems, you cannot help but appreciate the effort of Smith and her tenacity to push the envelope. |

Quote: | The Australian Government has announced that they will be joining China as one of the few countries globally that broadly censor the internet.
The Labor Party’s policy was announced prior to the Australian Election in November (release here) and was justified on the basis that the previous Government’s policy of providing free copies of NetNanny to all Australian households who wanted it didn’t adequately protect children. |

Quote: | The Labor government’s proposal to require ISPs to give a mandatory ‘clean feed’ free of pornography and other ‘inappropriate’ material has created a lot of comment on many websites. |

Who are the main promoters of internet pornography? Who is sufficiently cynical to know full well that the majority of males will rarely be able to resist looking at the most beautiful form on our beautiful planet? Check underground escalator adverts, for instance - which ones predominate?
Who is cynical enough to realise that the key to greater control of the net is by organised promotion of 'pornography'? From whence come the major sources of such organisation?
The WhoIs tool is your best net friend - expose the organisers for they are the main disseminators and controllers...
The alternative is for us to all become saints overnight... _________________ "We will lead every revolution against us!" - attrib: Theodor Herzl

This will be pretty difficult.
On last count almost all the mainstream neo-con apologist media had websites.
Cant see them being closed down though? |
