Offensive Foreign Office memo threatens Pope's visit

Well some civil servants (or has some unit been privatised?) at the Foreign Office clearly think Christianity is 'just another lie'.
If he was serious in his apology David Miliband would name and sack these civil servants.
He has so far done neither.

The Pope's visit to Britain has been plunged into jeopardy by 'dark forces' within the Foreign Office, Vatican officials declared yesterday.
They were furious at a 'seriously offensive' memo by Whitehall officials containing suggestions of what Benedict XVI might do during the trip - including opening an abortion clinic. Other ideas involved getting the Pope to launch a range of 'Benedict' condoms, apologise for the Spanish Armada and bless a gay marriage.....
.......The aide added: 'The Pope went to Turkey, a Muslim country, and had no problem at all. He visited Israel, no problem, and Jordan, an Arabic country, without any difficulty. However in Britain, which one would expect to see as a tolerant and democratic country, the climate is very different.'

In fact it was announced this morning that the civil servant will have his or her name kept secret and carry on in his or her job. I think that was after the Vatican announced that the pope's visit would still go ahead.
This is a complex game because while the pope seems to me to be a NWO stooge as all of them have been since John Paul 1st was murdered and most of the Cardinals are freemasons most in the parishes and lower levels of the Catholic church are very good and honest people.
Interestingly the nominally 'Catholic' Daily Telegraph has not made much of a fuss, also carrying an article saying these jibes are just humourous banter.

Hmmm, I was inclined to think that this was a ploy to give the Pope an excuse to cancel the UK visit? (Echoing a daily mail reader comment here!)

BTW, if Richard 'I will arrest the Pope' Dawkins & Co. had any real intentions of arresting his Holiness why would they announce it in advance? Wouldn't the surprise element of an ambush be more effective? Nope, it seems they just want to stop the UK visit.
