STOP THE WAR ANNUAL CONFERENCE
SATURDAY 10 JUNE
FRIENDS MEETING HOUSE

As well as the usual resolutions and elections to be discussed and voted on,
the fifth annual national StWC conference on Saturday 10 June will include a
wide range of workshops lead by keynote speakers (see below). The
conference is open to delegates from groups affiliated to Stop the War
Coalition and to paid up individual members who wish to attend as observers.

Early registration for the conference is recommended to ensure your place as
either a delegate or observer. All affiliated groups must complete 2006

I think any of us in a position to go should try to get there as a delegate of their local StW group. Unfortunately I'm not on sufficiently good terms with mine and I imagine that applies to a lot of us.
I think we should leaflet outside and, if we can find a nearby venue, run a fringe meeting including a showing of Loose Change 2.

Since it is to be held in Friends House, the Quaker headquarters, (Not "Friends Meeting House" which refers to any local Quaker building) we should immediately book another room in that building for that date. If they are all already booked there are a few neighbouring venues which are used as overflows for the Quaker Yearly Meeting when it is held there. One, I think is St Pancras parish hall. |
