Maybe they should be sacked then drafted in to investigate claims of child abuse in Jersey? These people are simply weak Quizlings bribed into submission. A compliant press is their only protection.

BTW don't forget that the BBC4 particularly does do some terrific stuff as well. Tempting as it is to pillory an entire corporation it makes more sense to single out specific weasel-brained individuals such as the above.

Certainly in the 1960s and 1970s the BBC was obsessed with class - listening to Radio 4 you'd be forgiven for thinking nothing has changed. And ITV was brilliant at providing a platform for young egalitarian-minded writers to show the corporation up and they did extremely well with shows such as the Avengers to draw audiences away from the stuffy old BBC.
It's worth pointing out that ITV has been virtually smashed to pieces over the last decade.

The BBC does indeed put on some excellent stuff - they re-show 'Dead in the Water' every June 8th, to commemorate the murderous Israeli attack on the USS Liberty; the trilogy 'Power of Nightmares'; and Francovitche's 'Gladio' trilogy.
