Meadows Festival success - discussion

I know that not all who come to this Scottish section are on our e-mailing list (and vice versa). please PM me if you would like to be on our list).

Anyway, after the success of our Meadows Festival stall in Edinburgh on 7/8 th June I wrote around the network (item 1), then Richard, Paul and Mizzie replied (items 2,3,4), so here they are and people are welcome to join in.

1) I am pleased to report that last weekend at the Meadows we had a very successful 911 Truth Scotland input into the All Faiths for 911 truth stall along with Make Wars History. On both days we found lots of interest ('the most interesting stall by a long way', one woman said) and very little opposition.

Often we had ten or more people clustered round some of the display photos and points Paul had mounted, and another discussion going on round the other board, plus people taking leaflets and dvds etc from the table - for donations.

Many thanks to Paul for great preparation and hard work photocopying and copying dvds, etc. Also to Richard Ritchie from Stirling - who lost his
voice from communicating non-stop with lots of groups of people - and Mizzi who came in both days, plus Barbara one day, and other old friends popped along, plus several very interesting new contacts made. People are worried but also hungry for truth. IF YOU KNOW OF SIMILAR
COMMUNITY EVENTS IN YOUR NECK OF THE WOODS, PLEASE THINK OF DOING SOMETHING SIMILAR AND/OR LETTING PAUL AND ME or whoever KNOW AS WE CAN ADVISE OR MAYBE COME AND HELP ....

2) Hello everyone, just taking this opportunity to say it was a pleasure to have beeen in the company of the enthusiastic and energetic Paul, Keith, Mizzie and Barbara at the 'Meadows Festival' and give a brief account of my observations and conclusion reached over the course of the weekend.
Firstly I was amazed to find over 70% of those that I talked to had always harboured serious doubts about the official accounts given them and welcomed the chance to gain further insight into the obvious anomalies they had about 9/11 events. Many others who had not given much thought to the situation, were eager to gain an understanding of what exactly we were implying and in nearly all cases, were grateful for the information and time given them. On leaving they either took a dvd, leaflets, or left with internet sites which they could check out at their leisure to enhance understanding. Often with all of them.
In total I personally only observed one very slight barracking by an American visitor who implied that we should be "Ashamed". For what and why he never really explained as he did not enter into any debate nor explanation. There were only two other mild incidents in which
I experianced dissidence, one from a young 'intelectual'? intent in proving his obvious educational superiority, and the other by a gentleman who; to quote was " In the Fu#$*@# building trade" and so therefore knew, that a total collapse was exactly what would happen when an aircraft hit a building. I felt ill equiped to question his undoubted expertise in such technical matters.
My conclusions are; there is a widespread and very high percentage of the population aware that they are being purposely misinformed, many of whom are eager for access to credable news and knowledge. their response to our stall was one of fascination and very often heartfelt gratitude for the provision of this alternative source to tabloid corruption and television manipulation. There was also a great interest and support for the other subjects we exhibted on the stall i.e. All Faith, Palestine, Make Wars History, etc., and more often than not the thirst and desire for insight led discussion into a myriad of related topics.
It done my soul good to see so many and so much of the public enthusiastically encouraging our endevours.
One sad note is the constant apathetic question of "but what can I do about it"? The public are desperate for an alternative leadership. Perhaps we should be looking at a means of providing this.

Finaly, I would like to say a personal huge THANK YOU !!! to Paul Carline for his amazing efforts. He made the boards, bought the tables, printed the pictures, burnt the dvds, designed and printed the leaflets for distribution etc., etc., etc. You cannot buy that type of commitment and solid hard graft. It was his photo's of the towers and poster of the many anomalies that stopped so many in their tracks and led to the initial introduction. This was indeed mavellous use of media and advertising.
Our event was a resounding success (even had a good donation tin)

it was, as you say, a very encouraging experience. The visual
presentation was clearly an important element. In addition to the
laminated A4 photos (of the exploding Twin Towers, of the resulting
pyroclastic flow of pulverised material, of the minor fires in WTC7, and
of the forged Luton mainline station photo from 7/7), there were a few
quotes about truth and a copy of the front page of the website of the
Australian organisation www.iccaction.com, which has submitted a war
crimes indictment in respect of John Howard (for his involvement in the
Iraq war) to the International Criminal Court.

I had also made up a large poster with about 15 or so bullet points of
known facts - FBI's no link to Osama; Ted Olson' admission that he lied
about the phone call from his wife; no evidence of Arabs/Muslims on the
planes etc. I titled it: "THEORY-FREE ZONE; JUST THE FACTS".

I'm now convinced that we have the capability to mount a larger indoor
exhibition using the same visual approach - backed up by continuous
video projection of key material and/or using a laptop or portable DVD
player. I would like to try to organise something for September. This
year's 9/11 falls on a Thursday. Maybe we could think about having at
least a 5-day exhibition starting on the previous Saturday - and maybe
extending to the following Sunday. I need to check whether these dates
fall outside the Festival period.

Talking about the Festival, there was an article in yesterday's Scotsman
about a number of plays scheduled to be performed at the Traverse. They
include one about Deep Cut, and another called "Pornography" - which is
based on the official story (lie) about 7/7. I feel strongly that the
play should be targeted for a protest and/or leafletting action. I'm
also going to send material to the Traverse artistic director and the
play's director (if I can find an address - he's German).
