|
|
So this individual Simon Aronowitz started this site......he owns the domain name.
What right does he have (other than possibly a legal one) to do this to the people who have actually been using this site (unlike himself) for the past years?
This is a loathsome act from somebody that is supposed to be a 9/11 Truther.
I have some questions:
What is his job? What kind of person is this man? Is he active in politics? What kind of politics?
How many other people were involved in setting up this site?
A question to you: Why was this person allowed to own the name in the first place? If you are still involved with Mr. Aronowitz why do you not demand he just 'hand it over' to the people that have been doing the work over the last years. He has no moral right to this name.
Ian, I know you are also a 'site founder'. You seem to be very sympathetic to this fellow.
He is in the wrong here, isn't he? Do or don't you agree.
.......also, if things stay as they are surely Tony is quite right about the urgent need to transfer this site to another domain so that people who return to www.nineeleven.co.uk can be redirected to us before this site disappears for good on June 15th.
Surely anyone who drags their feet is potentially sabotaging an important and indeed vital process for the continuance of this much-visited site and forum. |

Is it possible that the users of this site could get an idea of how much money Mr Aronowitz might be prepared to sell the domain name for?
Perhaps there might be quite a few people prepared to chip in to take it off his hands? |

I have offered to buy the domain name off Simon, but received no reply. from what I understand, (and I was at the first part of the meeting at Belindas house). Simon wants to see the nineeleven.co.uk domain name killed off.
In my opinion this will reduce the UK 9/11 truth presence on the internet... Which can't be a good thing.

Legal “niceties” aside, the following mission statement...
Quote: | This forum currently hosted by www.nineeleven.co.uk aims to provide access to discussion forums and other online media related to political, economic, social or military events arising from the so-called ‘War on Terror’. The purpose of this forum is to provide a safe, respectful, positive space for discussion and information sharing. The forum is intended for the use of people who accept the need for a reinvestigation of 9/11 and the war on terror. Those who believe no new investigation is required should only post in the critics corner. The forum administrators are committed to a non-violent transformation of the world based on truth, justice, peace and unity. The forum is independent and not affiliated to any individual organisation, philosophy or worldview. It finds common cause with the truth, social justice, green and peace movements. |
... doesn’t amount to a hill of beans, if one man can own and ultimately control everything that each and every one of us has contributed to this forum, and thumb his nose at any reasonable request to buy or otherwise acquire the site and its contents. _________________ The truth won't set you free, but identifying the liars could help make the world a better place. |

It is possible to file a complaint to Nominet asking for the domain to be handed over.
It does not matter who the legal registrant is because clearly this domain belongs to the campaign of the same name.
Effectively the legal registrant could be deemed to have made a malicious registration and is effectively cybersquatting.
You see the rule is NOTABILITY
If the registrant agreed to and allowed his domain to be used by this forum then clearly there was an unwritten contract which cannot be ended without adequate compensation.
A nominet action usually costs about £1200 i believe, so a few of us could club together. In any case he would not be able to pull the plug until a decision was made legally. Which could take over a year. _________________
