Amazingly Indymedia UK was being criticised by indymedia NY for allowing this event and debate to go on so long. In the end they hid it it as well

A bit of debate on the evidence cited by www.911myths.com in the comments section that is worth noting |

As someone who did 911 and other conspiracy topics relentlessly day in and day out from the end of 01 til the end of 03 on Indy, all I can say is establish a relationship with them, but it requires persistance. Always copy your material and get it on other forums if necessary Some posts will stay up some will go down.
The editorial decisions of the 'Collective' are by no means consistent
Some of my weirdest stuff continued on the front page, while some straight political reportage went down
If you go on, say a demo, that's always a good one. If you report a bit how the political action went, then add in the other material, it tends to stick It counts as 'News' after all, the definition of which they all obsess on
The other thing you can do is search out relevant topics that are getting comment and stick your oar in there. Comments will stay where original posts will be hidden, so you can be as reckless and provocative as you want
Having said that, my comments and plenty of others, on 7/7 as it unfolded were not hidden, but rather deleted
Play it and if you feel you're unjustly treated, try a repost, it works sometimes, or contact them and complain - it mostly doesn't work, though I had a couple of posts revived
There's always the possibility that your archived material will disappear when the Feds seize the hard drives as they did some time back

The post about Charlie Sheen hasn't been hidden and there is a promoted comment about WTC7 and the rest of the comments are interesting -- for example look at the comments from "Architect" there are questions they are asked and never answer -- if they are not a paid disinfo agent then they might as well be... and the likes of "Paul Mitchell" stick out like a sore thumb...
Posts announcing screenings of Loose Change, like the London one haven't been hidden, and the post about the video of Michel Chossudovsky's War and Globalization - The Truth Behind 9/11 lecture is on the front page and not hidden.
In the comment above dh says that "my comments and plenty of others, on 7/7 as it unfolded were not hidden, but rather deleted" -- comments posted prior to the 20 November 2005 change to comments which are hidden are not publically accessible (hidden comments posted since that date can be accessed by appending ?c=all to an article URL), post the addresses of the articles that had comments hidden and the nickname you used here if you want, someone might reclassify the comments so that the hidden ones can be accessed... |
