Slightly off topic - Venue Help needed Midlands

Hi

Anyone recommend any venues for between 100-200 people in August on a sunday?

I've exausted 4 community centres, 2 mini-cinemas and one part of the local college. Now running out of ideas. Anyone help - it's as close to Nottingham as possible - but further out considered.

Sorry I cant help you utopiated as I'm not in your neck of the woods nor familair with it.

Good idea to seek help and support here though. Try pming Andrew Johnson (link on first page of memberlist) he may be able help and direct you to someone who can.

The campaign does have a secretary, Stefan and co-ordinator Noel (xmasdale) who may be able to put you in touch with someone in your area.

You dont specifically say what the purpose/nature of the event is. If its August could it be outdoors.

Securing suitable venues to hire at an affordable cost is a challenging task for activists. Your best chance is doing what you have done here and asking for help. There maybe someone out there who has a suitable venue and is prepared to allow it to be used for the good of the cause.
A farmer with a barn, a warehouse, a church,etc.

Its the same old problem, we are not adequately resourced to enable us
to achieve our objective.

I always believed that in the UK at some point a wealthy person, like a Jimmy Walters would appear to support our campaign. Sadly it has not happened yet.

A UK 911 truth campaign business plan may give us a better chance ofattracting such funding

Hi utopiated. depending on your subject matter have you tried Friends Meeting House as they have in other areas been sympathetic to anti war and even 911 truth stuff

Again some church halls may be ok but subject to what your meeting is about. Try Cof E, and Methodist as they tend to be more liberal

I may try the Quaker route as I've used Friend' meeting places in Cambs area before.
