Found this interesting article from the AsianAffairs, very opened minded about the whole sordid saga. Hadn't read it before, come across it while researching Danny Biddle after reading what ForensicCybersearcher wrote on Team8. Sorry if put on here before, will delete if so.

The voice from the grave was supposed to settle the argument. After watching video footage of Mohammed Siddique Khan explaining in his broad Yorkshire drawl why he had declared war on Britain surely nobody could deny he was one of the suicide bombers who blew up an underground train on July 7. I am a soldier” he says truculently as he expounded his garbled view of Britain’s hateful treatment of Muslims.

The appearance in the same film of Ayman al-Zawahiri, regarded as Osama bin Laden’s deputy, is seen as further proof that Khan and the three other bombers were not duped into carrying explosives onto three tube trains and a London double-decker bus. Yet in the rundown backstreets of Thornhill Lees, the Dewsbury suburb where Khan lived with his wife and 16 month old daughter, plenty of people remain to be convinced.

Four men sitting on a wall in Lees Holm road where the former teaching assistant lived with his wife and 14-month-old daughter, were vehement in their claims the film was the dirty work of Britain’s security services. They are supported in this view by the leader of one of the country’s biggest mosques. Arguing the film did not prove the attacks had been carried out by Muslims, Dr Mohammed Naseem, chairman of Birmingham Central mosque said:

“We are in the 21st Century. The cows can be made to look as if they are dancing, the horses can speak like humans so these things can be doctored or produced”. Fellow imams denounced Dr Naseem’s remarks but he has found enthusiastic support from young Muslims throughout Britain.

In towns like Beeston and Thornhill Lees they are not in a state of denial, they just don’t believe those in charge.
