Japan's conspiracy (4)

*September 11, 2001 attacks

The September 11, 2001 attacks (often referred to as 9/11!pronounced "nine eleven") consisted of a series of coordinated terrorist[1] suicide attacks by Islamic extremists on the United States of America on September 11, 2001.

It is believed that the attacks were originally planned to be executed between March and September 2000[2] but eventually occurred on the morning of September 11, 2001, when nineteen terrorists[3] affiliated with al-Qaeda[4] hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. Each team of hijackers included a trained pilot. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners (United Airlines Flight 175 and American Airlines Flight 11) into the World Trade Center in New York City, one plane into each tower (1 WTC and 2 WTC), resulting in the collapse of both buildings soon afterward and irreparable damage to nearby buildings. The hijackers crashed a third airliner (American Airlines Flight 77) into the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, near Washington, D.C. Passengers and members of the flight crew on the fourth aircraft (United Airlines Flight 93) attempted to retake control of their plane from the hijackers;[5] that plane crashed into a field near the town of Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania. In addition to the 19 hijackers, 2,973 people died; another 24 are missing and presumed dead. The victims were predominantly civilians.

In Japan, although this terrorism is occasionally called as "9.11. terrorism", For some time this teroorism was called as "Dojitahatuterojiken" in Japanese or "American Simultaneous Multiple Terrorist Attacks" literally in English. I was always skeptical about the Japanese name of this incident. This name is somewhat confusing.

The reasons were as follows.

1. This Japanese name was never used in Japanese-English translation. This name was particularly used for the Japanese in Japan.

2. This Japanese name was used at unity immediately after the attacks in all news and reports in Japan. Nobody knows who invented this phrase. Different names of this kind of incident are usually created independently, then gradually integrated into a unified name. This Japanese name seemed to have been prepared beforehand.

3. Why intelligible names such as "September 11 Incident" were not used in Japan. Such style of naming is not unfamiliar to Japanese. Two major coup d'etats in the 1930 were called as "May 15 Incident" and "February 26 Incident". There was no reason that this calling style should have been avoided. I felt that the Japanese government wanted its people not to be concerned about the date of this attacks but to remember the victory of terrorism against the US.

4. These attacks were often compared with Attack on Pearl Harbor. But the Attack on Pearl Harbor was never called by the date. Why?

5. Why did the terrorists attack in the early morning? At that time, the US was not on full alert. There was not particular reasons for carrying on these attacks in the early morning. Instead, the disaster would have become more serious if attacks were carried out around noon.

6. Immediately after the terrorist attacks, Chinese President Hu Jintao called President Bush, asking if there were anything he could do for the US. Russian President Putin called President Bush, saying that he didn't mind if the US was on full alert for war. On the other hand, there were few reports about Koizumi's reaction. He was the last leaders of developed nations who visited the ground zero and offered any help. He was marginalized by US mass media and Bush administration.

* The Japanese government was the September 11 mastermind. There are so many doubts.

(1) Terrorists intended to keep the "DATE" of these attacks in people's minds and in the world history.

The one thing I immediately wondered was the difference of the naming between the two notorious attacks. Why the terrorist attaks were particularly called by the date, while most other major global incidents were called not by the date but by their particular names. Soon I understood that global incidents are usually difficult to be called by the dates because dates are different according to the time zones. For example, the Attack on Pearl Harbor was carried out on December 8, 1941 in the US, and on December 9, 1941 in Japan. But there are very small hours when the time in the area around the international dateline in the Central Pacific Ocean is at midnight. That means around noon in the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), most areas have the same date around the world.

American Airlines Flight 11, a Boeing 767-200[7] wide-body aircraft, crashed into the northern side of the North Tower of the World Trade Center (WTC) at 8:46:30 a.m. local time (Eastern Daylight Time, 12:46:30 GMT) on September 11, 2001.

For this timing, these attacks can be called by its date throughout the world.

If there had been the mastermind, the mastermind must have been obsessed with a particular date. And the date should have been "September 11". If someone intends to carry out a huge scale incident, the date would be carefully chosen. When I checked the date in the world and Japanese history, I was stunned.

(2) In the video after the September 11, 2001 attacks, Osama bin Laden, the founder of the organization called al-Qaeda, said, "The US that once dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan does not have the right to condemn terrorism." Arab terrorists should not have been concerned about Japanese history. Many people would have been bothered by a feeling of strangeness.

(3) September 11th was the day when Japan virtually surrendered unconditionally to the Allied Powers in 1945.

I checked the Internet web sites that include the day "September 11th" and the information related to the revenge against the US. But the date I could find was only "September 11, 1945". It was really a surprise. I didn't know what happened on that day. Nothing is written in Japanese history books about what happened on that day.

You may think that World War II ended on August 15, 1945. I thought so, too. But, from August 15 to this day, no Japanese government officials thought that Japan lost the war. Everybody could behave freely as usual. Ministers, officials and generals invited US officials and generals politely to their offices for negotiation for the future.

Still now, August 15 is celebrated not as "the anniversary of Japan's surrender in World War II" but as "the anniversary of the end of the war" in Japan.

The official expression "Shusenkinenbi" literally means "the anniversary commemorating the end of the war".

Though it was beyond expectation for every Japanese, Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers Douglas MacArthur suddenly ordered to arrest key 39 Japanese generals and politicians who were designated as Class A War Criminals including Hideki Tojo. Frightened by the assault, some of them tried to kill themselves. Four persons killed themselves. Tojo failed to kill himself. He was injured but he survived. Some others had already committed suicides on August 15.

The day was really "the Day of Betrayal" for the Japanese military. The Allied Powers seemed to arrest nobody. The Headquarters of the Imperial Japanese Army surrendered to the Allied Powers in exchange for the acquittal of all government officials. The September 11 assault was really a betrayal for those arrested.

It is something like the situation in which the police promise the bank robbers who take bank workers hostage not to arrest them in exchange for the release of the hostages and in which the police later arrest them. It may be a betrayal. But the police can't be helped.

(4) During the September 11, rumors had it that some speculators got huge profit in anticipation of the terrorist attacks and ensuing sudden fall of share prices. The US financial authorities called on investors to be cool and later started full-scale investigation. But the result has not been revealed.

(5) The Japanese government continued to be obsessed with the date "September 11th".

Around September 11 2002, most headline news were Koizumi's visit to North Korea. This day the main news was that the government decided to fly the government plane to Pyongyang for the first time in preparation for Koizumi's visit.

Around September 11 2003, most headline news were election for president of the Liberal Democratic Party. But the date had been arranged beforehand.

Around September 11 2004, most headline news were cabinet decision of privatization of the postal system. But the decision-making date had been set by the government. Koizumi visited New York and made a speech in the UN. He spoke nothing about the terrorist attacks in New York. His speech was nothing other than stillborn jokes.

Around September 11 2005, most headline news were Lower House elections, sweeping LDP's victory and privatization of the postal system.

Around September 11 2006, most headline news were presidential elections of both the major ruling LDP and major opposition DPJ. Most people were cynical.

Every year on this day, meaningless events were intentionally created. People forgot the terrorist attacks to some extent.

* There is a strong impression on the alliance of Japan, France and Germany.

You may think that, during World War II, France was included in the Allied Powers. But France willingly surrendered to Germany. Hostility against the US and the UK was stronger than that against Germany. Still we always feel such attitude among French politicians. During World War II, in Southeast Asia such as Vietnam and Cambodia, French navy cooperated with Japanese navy and fought the Allied Powers.

These countries seem to follow the same path they once went through in astray.
