Remembering that Mars is a different world and has low gravity, plants and creatures can grow to larger sizes that what we would expect to see on Earth.
There appears to be giant trees on Mars, which cast shadows... (have not located those pictures yet) but what about these?

Well, it's not a perfect sphere simply because it's a giant snail !
Another one, bottom right corner of this picture....

If we look very carefully we can just see the edge of it's shell and it's body is showing at ten o'clock.
Another one here, right-hand side, near the top...

Zoom in on this one, because the edge of the shell can be clearly seen and it's fleshy body is showing! Can even see it's got antennae! It's a snail!
Sorry, these not artificial structures but are giant snails! Say as clear as mud if you like but there is some mud on Mars! Then snails like moisture and mud!
Note too, the pointed things on those pictures, that like the snails, are not sitting in craters but have made an indentation for themselves as a sort of nest.
It's life Jim but not (quite) as we know it and there are snails living on Mars!
John

So (and this is the point) why are they still looking for life on Mars? Could it be a cover for another agenda?
