Tony Blair was on Jon Stewart's Daily Show ( More4 8.30pm 19/9/08 )

It was embrassing stuff. The most striking thing for me was how all his decision making was based on 9/11. Jon Stewart mentioned that if 19 arabs caused 9/11 then how does going to war sop another 19 hijackers doing something similar.

If only Jon Stewart had said "So, Tony, you don't think that 9/11 was an inside job then?"

Yes it was a painful experience to view,I don't think JS would be allowed to ask about an inside job even if he wanted too.JS is just playing the game of light mockery as the programme format allows.

On the plus side Blair looks more his cartoon image nowdays.Blair was even lampooned on the 'Harry and Paul' comedy show last night taking
orders for coffee in his one day a week corporate job!

I think Tony Blair is preempting a rise in religious fervor which will spring up when the truth is out. People will be looking for something to hold on to. I say that as an atheist.

I'm sure there will be a need for someone to bring the different religions together rather than to let them be taken over by manipulators who will use them against each other for their own interests. Religions are born when there is a sense of cataclism.

There is a serious point here. But I don't think that Tony Blair is the one to do this. Talk of interfaith philosophy by someone who has just brought about the deaths of a million Muslims and is seen as a lier by many Christians may perhaps not be the best choice.

I think, though, there is a serious danger of him neoconning a lot of people. If you look at his website at http://tonyblairfaithfoundation.org/ and play the video, you'll see that is first priority his to deal with Malaria.

Shouldn't his first priority be to stop killing people?

Laughing

I keep on thinking that either Blair is an exceptionally good liar or he is a major chump for going along with Bush. I'm sure one or other of those reasons must be why Brown wanted his job.
