I have recently heard - from Moazzam Begg - who has the same lawyer - that the following chappie STILL has not been questioned about the London Bombings and is still facing extradition to the US. He's recently been transferred from Belmarsh prison.

BRITISH TERROR CHIEF IS NAMED; Al Qaeda operator linked to London bombings.

Article from: The Evening Standard (London, England)
Article date: July 20, 2005

Byline: RICHARD EDWARDS

A BRITISH man has been named as an al Qaeda chief linked to the London bombings.

Haroon Rashid Aswad was brought up in Dewsbury, where ringleader Mohammad Sidique Khan was based.

Intelligence sources said today that Aswad's number was on the mobile phones of all four suicide bombers.

Detectives are probing the theory that he was a "facilitator" who may have come into Britain to brief the men and help plan the attack. Aswad is said to be a "very significant figure" within the al Qaeda network who has been hunted for years.

Aswad is the first British-born Muslim revealed to be a major al Qaeda operative.

He is believed to have.....

YORKS MAN QUIZZED IN TERROR SWOOP

Published Date: 21 July 2005
Pakistan police hold man over al-Qaeda links
By Paul Robinson
POLICE in Pakistan were today quizzing a man from Yorkshire over claims he is the al-Qaeda agent who masterminded the London bombings.
The 30-year-old suspect was arrested near Islamabad after investigators ran checks on telephone numbers for links to the four men responsible for the suicide attacks.
He has been named as Haroon Rashid Aswad, and is believed to originally come from the Dewsbury area.
When he was detained, he was carrying a belt packed with explosives, a large sum of money and a British passport.
According to sources in Pakistan, Aswad had up to 20 phone conversations with bombers Mohammad Sidique Khan and Shehzad Tanweer – one of them just hours before the blasts.
Today a father living in Batley Carr, near Dewsbury, was facing an anxious wait to find out if the detainee was his estranged son, called Haroon Rashid Aswat.
Neighbours
His current whereabouts are unknown and unconfirmed reports have said that the two men are one and the same.
Rashid Aswat's terraced house came under siege from the media yesterday and police were called to the scene by worried neighbours.
Another of 58-year-old Mr Aswat's sons, who declined to give his name, told reporters little had been heard of his brother since he left home around 10 years ago.
"I'm not sure where he went and why he never kept in touch," he said.
"There may have been the occasional phone call to see how everybody was in the first few years, but he never paid us a visit.
"From what I can conclude maybe he did not want us to know what he was doing or where he was living."
The Aswat home is just a few miles from the house of Khan, the 30-year-old teaching assistant who blew himself up on the tube at Edgware Road two weeks ago.
Tanweer, 22, and 18-year-old Hasib Hussain, the third bomber, came from Leeds. The fourth, 19-year-old Germaine Lindsay, grew up in Huddersfield.
Visits
Khan, Tanweer and Hussain all paid visits to Pakistan in the year leading up to the strike on London, which killed 56 people and injured 700.
Police believe a 'fixer' headed to Britain to plan the outrage and brief the foot soldiers who would carry it out.
One report today claimed that the man held in Pakistan flew out from Heathrow shortly before the blasts.
He is said to be wanted on an FBI warrant in the US in connection with a plot to set up an al-Qaeda base at a remote ranch in Oregon in 1999.
American intelligence officials have also been told he trained at a camp in Afghanistan that was visited by Osama bin Laden.

Much of the focus of the London bombings of July 7, 2005 (7/7), was focused on the “Pakistani connection.” The suspected bombers had all visited Pakistan, and apparently developed contacts with groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and the Lashkar-e Taiba. However, a less known and less publicized connection yields some very interesting information. The suspected mastermind of the London bombings, Haroon Rashid Aswat, had visited all the suspected bombers leading up to the attacks. Phone records revealed that there were “around 20 calls between him and the 7/7 gang, leading right up to those attacks.” Why is this significant? Because Haroon Rashid Aswat, apart from being an Al-Qaeda operative, also happened to be an MI6 agent, working for the British intelligence. Haroon also made his appearance on the scene of Islamic terrorism when he was in Kosovo in the 1990’s, where he “worked for British intelligence.”[10]

Protecting the Official Version of 7/7

If Haroon was the MI6/CIA/Mossad fixer for 7/7, it would explain why the Police (i.e. Special Forces) were so keen to track him down in the aftermath ... but mistakenly nailed Jean-Charles De Menezes in the process!

Seven Dum-Dum bullets to the head; three in the shoulder and one missed completely. Armed Police, my ar*e.

Based upon the Shayler experience, if Haroon is in Belmarsh he will no doubt soon be declaring himself to be the re-incarnation of the prophet Mohammed! However, if he is in Broadmoor the psychopaths who run this institution will have by now f*cked with his brain to such a degree that he won't know that he is even on this planet!!

I'm not sure he is in Broadmoor. I haven't seen the evidence for this yet
Better isolated considered mad and drugged indefinitely
Better than deported incarcerated and perhaps killed
Still, I'm sure fairly light sentence for a former disposable asset

Quote:
SOME of Britain’s vilest offenders partied at a sick Halloween bash in Broadmoor, The Sun can reveal.

Killers and sex offenders were allowed to don ghoulish fancy dress in a room decked out with creepy decorations.

The knees-up in Milton Ward — home to some of the hospital’s most dangerous patients — was advertised on a poster showing tombstones and skulls against a giant full moon.

A ditty on the invite even mocked the Christian burial ceremony, reading: “Ashes to ashes, Dust to Dust, Life is too short, so party we must.”

Spooky

Those at the three-hour bash enjoyed a buffet with fizzy drinks, played CDs, and shared spooky tales.

Partygoers spent weeks creating their fancy dress outfits — which included ghosts, monsters and wizards — in occupational therapy classes.

Incredibly even some STAFF joined in by dressing up as well.

One reveller was terror suspect Haroon Rashid Aswat, awaiting extradition on suspicion of holding al-Qaeda training camps in the US. He is in Broadmoor after being sectioned.

Another partygoer was twisted loner Robert Buckland, who plunged a knife into a charity worker’s skull during a train journey in 1997.

Others at the 24-strong party, thought likely to cost about £200, included murderers, rapists and paedophiles.

The news comes six weeks after The Sun exposed a “Monsters’ Ball” party for evil women killers inside London’s Holloway Prison.

That saw Justice Minister Jack Straw BAN parties for lags. But bosses at Broadmoor, which houses some of Britain’s most dangerous men, seem to have used a loophole.

Since those in the unit are held under the Mental Health Act, they are regarded as patients, not criminals — and Broadmoor, in Crowthorne, Berks, not as a prison but a hospital.

So it doesn’t have to abide by the same rules as those for British jails.

A Broadmoor insider said: “Men here terrorised, raped, murdered and carried out horrific acts on children.

“Halloween is linked to all things evil. How can you possibly allow such people to dress as ghosts and ghouls for a horror fright-night when you think of the terror and fear they brought to their victims?

“We can’t understand how nobody at the top gets the message that the public, who fund this hospital via taxes, are appalled at this misuse of their money.”

A spokesman at Broadmoor, where patients recently enjoyed a £500 COMEDY night, confirmed Wednesday’s party had gone ahead.

He said: “We treat mental disorder. Part of that function is served by engaging patients in a range of activities — educational, therapeutic and recreational.”

7/7 trials are over, are they?

Haroon Aswat's trial in New York begins without him

Haroon Rashid Aswat is on the rightof Abu Hamza
Another suspect in the case, Haroon Rashid Aswat, a British citizen and one of Hamza's chief aides, is appealing his extradition to the United States.

Al-Qaida terror trial tied to Bly compound
April 22, 2009

A plan to establish a terrorist training camp in Bly is at the center of a trial which began Tuesday in a New York courtroom.

Opening statements were delivered Tuesday in the case of Oussama Kassir, a Lebanese-born Swede charged with attempting to aid al-Qaida by trying to set up a weapons training post in the Southern Oregon town.

"This case concerns a global conspiracy that takes place here in the United States," assistant U.S. attorney Michael Farbiarz told Judge John Keenan in district court in Manhattan.

Farbiarz pointed at the defendant, accusing Kassir of plotting to teach others how to make bombs, poison people and slit throats. Kassir was brought to the United States after he was arrested in the Czech Republic.

Authorities say he offered bomb and poison-making tips on several Web sites and tried to set up a military-style training camp in Bly.

Defense lawyer Mark Steven DeMarco said his client was "certainly not a terrorist" and urged jurors not to prejudge.

"He is certainly not a terrorist; he is certainly not a member of Al-Qaida," DeMarco said, asking the jury for "a fair trial."

The trial is expected to last at least four weeks. Kassir could face life in prison if found guilty.

Kassir, 43, arrived in the United States in 1999 and spent a year at an Oregon ranch, imparting religious teachings at a Seattle mosque before returning to Europe, according to the prosecution.

"You are going to see a knife that he used for training at the ranch. You will see the bomb-making manuals and the poison-making manuals," Farbiarz told the jury as Kassir, in a red tunic, listened through an interpreter.

Farbiarz said next week he would call James Ujaama, a former activist from Seattle who has admitted supporting the Al-Qaeda network and is now a witness for the prosecution.

Kassir allegedly admitted before witnesses he supported al-Qaeda and its boss Osama bin Laden.

The government also accused Kassir of being a follower of Egyptian Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri, currently jailed in Britain for inciting to violence.

Armed with Hamza's orders and what Farbiarz called "a stack of money," Kassir traveled to Bly, Oregon "to establish a training camp for holy war, for jihad."

"The purpose of the training camp was to train young Muslims to go and do jihad in Afghanistan," he said.

Kassir set up security patrols, helped distribute instructions on how to make bombs and poison, and offered instructions in hand-to-hand combat, including how to slit a person's throat with a knife, but the camp was never properly established, the prosecutor said.

He then tried to gain followers at a mosque in Seattle, before traveling to Europe to establish at least three Web sites that contained manuals such as "The Mujahideen Explosives Handbook" and "The Mujahideen Poisons Handbook," according to Farbiarz and the indictment.

DeMarco told jurors Kassir should not be judged by his religious beliefs, nor should they retaliate against him for the 9/11 attacks, which took place near where the trial is being held.

"This trial is not about Sept, 11, 2001," he said. "You may not want to have dinner with him and you may not like the guy, but he is certainly no terrorist and he is not a member of al Qaeda," the lawyer said.

Another suspect in the case, Haroon Rashid Aswat, a British citizen and one of Hamza's chief aides, is appealing his extradition to the United States.

What independent evidence exists that Haroon Rashid Aswat is an MI6 asset other than the claim by John Loftus in his interview with Fox News (29 July 2005)?
http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=782

It would be nice to have this substantiated. It would be a smoking gun that British security services were, indeed, involved in 7/7. Without this corroboration, Loftus's claim is simply a loaded gun waiting to be fired.

Some background information about Aswat:

UK blast mastermind sold CDs in Johannesburg

August 02, 2005 21:12 IST

Haroon Rashid Aswat, believed to be the mastermind behind the July 7 London bombings that killed 56 people, made his living by selling compact discs in downtown Johannesburg and was known in his neighbourhood as a 'nice family man.'

Aswat, who made his living selling Islamic cds and dvds at fleamarkets around Johannesburg in South Africa and in neighbouring countries, never expressed any interest in radical Islam, 'The Star' daily quoted Aswat's business associate as saying.

Zambian police confirmed they were holding Aswat, who was arrested on July 20 in Lusaka. Zambia's interior minister had on Monday signed a document handing over his custody to Britain, the daily said.

Ahmed Al Arine, a refugee from Jordan seeking asylum in South Africa, said he had helped Aswat sell cds at Fordsburg Square and was shocked by the allegations levelled against him, the daily reported.

Arine described Aswat as 'very secretive but a very nice person' and added that he had never expressed any interest in radical Islam in the 5 months he had known the alleged bomber. Asked if Aswat had ever spoken to him about al-Qaeda or radical Islamic issues, Al Arine said, "Never. He didn't speak about these things."

Well, you would hardly attract attention to yourself if you were planning a terrorist attack. If he was an MI6 asset (informer), how did they manage to turn him into spying on radical Muslims in Britain before setting him up for 7/7? Was it simply for money? Or was he a double-agent? Who double-crossed whom?

The way Aswat was being accused of being the mastermind, arrested then mega-mysteriously de-arrested smacks of high level intelligence vampire interference.

This is one of the better accounts of those heady days for Aswat immediately after 7/7
Express India wrote:

From Lajpore to London: villagers trace journey of 7/7 mastermind

Melvyn Thomas - Surat, August 2

The arrest of Haroon Rashid Aswat, said to be the mastermind of the 7/7 blasts, in faraway Zambia may have brought a spring to investigators’ step in London, but back home in Lajpore, villagers are eager to sever any link that connects them to the senior British Al Qaeda operative.

The residents of this small village in Surat district are unable to believe that Aswat, whose parents migrated to the UK about four decades ago, has ‘‘his roots here.’’ Believed to be an Al Qaeda man, whose association with the terror network dates back some 10 years, Aswat was arrested last to last week in Lusaka.

In Lajpore, Aswat’s become a hate figure with almost all villagers demanding that he be ‘‘hanged for killing so many in the name of jihad.’’

Sabbir Kasudi, deputy sarpanch of Lajpore village, says: ‘‘He (Haroon) should be hanged to death. Islam does not say shed the blood of innocent people. Our heads are hanging in shame, now that it’s out that Aswat’s roots are in Lajpore village.’’

Aswat reportedly flew out from Heathrow hours before four suicide bombers killed 52 rush-hour commuters and themselves on three tube trains and a bus on July 7.

Investigators were on his traill since discovering that he made up to 20 calls from his cellphone to two of the bombers. He is also sought by the FBI over accusations that he attempted to set up Al Qaeda training camps in the US.

Villagers say Haroon’s father, Rashid Aswat, migrated to UK along with his family more than four decades back. Many village elders still recall how Rashid Aswat would help his father, Ibrahim Ashwat, in the fields and regularly attend classes at the village madarsa.

Sixty-year-old Yusuf Patwasi, a panch, says: ‘‘Haroon’s father was elder to us. I still remember that he was the first among Muslim boys to have read the entire holy book of Koran. More than four decades ago, Rashid migrated to UK along with his mother, brothers and sisters.’’ Patwasi continues, ‘‘In 1998, Rashid had come to Lajpore and at that time he was quite worried about Haroon who had left the family 10 years ago.’’

Haroon Aswat’s ancestral house here is well-maintained. Villagers said the house, which is otherwise shut, was opened some five years back when a cousin of Haroon’s father, who lived in the village, died.

A mixed-population village, Lajpore houses approximately 10,000 people. And even when Gujarat was burning in the aftermath of Godhra, there was no communal tension here, say villagers.

Ahmad Ibrahim Kola, another panch, says: ‘‘Every Muslim house in Lajpore has one or many members settled abroad. Rashid Aswat and his brothers went to UK on a work permit like other Muslims and then settled there. Haroon Aswat was born there, he has nothing to do with Lajpore.’’

Kola says Rashid Aswat’s was the most peace-loving family in the village. No member of the Aswat family was ever involved in any skirmish or quarrel, he says. ‘‘I was shocked when Haroon Aswat was named the mastermind behind the serial blasts in London,’’ he adds.

I agree. But it's still only circumstantial. And keeping him banged up in Broadmoor so that he cannot go on trial is also highly suspicious, as is the fact that Britain refused to extradite him to America for questioning about another terrorist crime.

Everything points to him being a witting or unwitting asset of MI6 or a closely related service. Even Mafia bribes couldn't get him so many get out of jail free cards.
And now he has become a virtual non person.

One of the things I find interesting about this whole affair is this.

Quote:
Phone records revealed that there were “around 20 calls between him and the 7/7 gang, leading right up to those attacks.”

Now, if I was a black ops boy and wanted to either prove guilt by association or confuse those in search of the truth, I would release something like the quote above. Suddenly, he is guilty (as not yet charged), or he is an MI5/6 operative or patsie.

Tony, do you know the source of his phone records?

As for not charging or extraditing him, I'm with Micpsi and Tony on this. There is obviously too much to hide.

"Years before the 2008 arrests it was known there was a problem with Home Affairs. Haroon Aswat, the mastermind of the July 7 London bus bombings, and a former bodyguard of Osama Bin Laden's, lived in South Africa for years, and traveled to the UK two weeks before those bombings." He told The Citizen: "It is fair to presume he may have been the source of the fake South African passports. It is also fair to presume he planned the attacks from Gauteng (province in South Africa)." Solomon said Aswat was by far the most senior al-Qaeda operative linked to the London bombings. He continued: "Let's not forget that false South African passports do not only turn up in the hands of serious international criminals. They are so easy to obtain that even (US actor) Wesley Snipes apparently bought himself a South African passport off a crooked Home Affairs official."

Terrorist suspects cannot be sent to life in jail in US, European Court rules
Abu Hamza and three other terrorism suspects cannot be extradited to the US because they face life in jail without parole, the European Court of Human Rights has ruled.

..........The former imam at Finsbury Park Mosque in North London, is currently serving a seven year sentence for incitement to murder and stirring up racial hatred but is due for parole next year.

Haroon Rashid Aswat from Batley, West Yorkshire, was indicted as Abu Hamza’s co conspirator in respect of the training camp.

Ahmad, Ahsan and Abu Hamza face life sentences without parole and Aswat a maximum of 50 years in jail - meaning he would be nearly 78 before becoming eligible for release.

Ahmad and Ahsan are currently held Long Lartin jail in Worcestershire while Hamza is in Belmarsh in South East London and Aswat at Broadmoor secure mental hospital

Haroon Rashid Aswat, Abu Hamza's co-conspirator, may escape extradition on health grounds
A co-conspirator of Abu Hamza may avoid deportation to the US if assurances over his medical treatment cannot be given, the European Court of Human Rights indicated.

a YouTube clip none of the UK MSM have noticed...!
Haroon Ashid Aswat is an MI6 double agent

Link

Haroon Rashid Aswat
http://www.globaljihad.net/view_page.asp?id=158

Haroon Rashid Aswat was born in UK in 1975 to an Indian Muslim Family. He grew up in Dewsbury south of Leeds. Haroon Rashid Aswat moved to Green Woods, London, in 1995 and became associated with Abu Hamza al-Masri, later the dominant figure in Finsbury Park Mosque in London, when he helped to organize a group of about 200 British men of Pakistani origin to go fighting in Indian Jammu and Kashmir. The group was, eventually, deployed to Bosnia and joined Abdelkader Mokhtari’s battalion, in the 7 Mujahideen Brigade, in Zenica.

In 1999 Haroon Rashid Aswat, with Abu Hamza al-Masri and James Ujaama, was involved in an attempt to buy land in Oregon, USA in order to build there a training camp for young Muslims. (see - Oregon camp) In order to handle the deal he lived in Seattle, Oregon, for a month. Some reports suggested that at that time, in 1999, Haroon Rashid Aswat was an MI6 (British Intelligence Service) informant and due to him the Oregon deal was foiled.

In mid 2002 Haroon Rashid Aswat hosted, for a short while, at a religious school in Lahore, Pakistan, Mohammed al-Ghabra.

Haroon Rashid Aswat continued to travel all over the world and in 11/2004 met in Pakistan with Mohammad Sidique Khan, the ringleader of the London 7/7 attack, and Shehzad Tanweer -another suicide bomber in this attack.

On 05/2005 Haroon Rashid Aswat was located in South Africa and USA authority asked for his arrest and extradition to USA for charges related to the Oregon training camp from 1999. The South African authority refused to arrest Haroon Rashid Aswat on the grounds that as a British citizen that committed no crimes in South Africa the arrest need the Britain s' authority consent.

In the beginning of 06/2005, a month before the London 7/7 attack, Haroon Rashid Aswat returned to Britain through Flixton, a ferry harbor in Suffolk. He left Britain to India on 07/06/2005, a day before the London 7/7 attack.

During the month in Britain Haroon Rashid Aswat was in contact with all the London 7/7 suicide bombers and visited each one of them. After he left Britain Haroon Rashid Aswat was in an intensive phone connection with Mohammad Sidique Khan and Shehzad Tanweer and spoke with them more than 20 times in the last hour before the attack on the morning of 07/07/2005.

The Britain authority believed that Haroon Rashid Aswat was a key figure in the masterminding of the London 7/7 attack and after an international man hunt he was arrested in Lusaka, Zambia on 07/20/2005. In his primary investigation by British intelligence in Lusaka, Haroon Rashid Aswat boasted that he was for some time one of Osama Bin Laden s’ body guards.

Haroon Rashid Aswat was extradited to UK on 08/03/2005 but, despite all the circumstantial evidences, was never charged for the London 7/7 attack. On 12/01/2006 the House of Lords in Britain, as a high court, confirmed his extradition to USA. Today 04/2007, he is waiting for extradition in Belmarsh high security prison in London.

Summary

The behavior and movements of Haroon Rashid Aswat indicated that he was indeed an MI6 informant. The question is if, as it has happened many times, he changed his attitude and became a sympathizer of radical Islam. Did he manage to deceive his operators in MI6, or did the British intelligence community fail to understand and to share the information that Haroon Rashid Aswat provided - remains unsolved.

ABU HAMZA
http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/313859

Abu Hamza has been dubbed “one of the most dangerous terrorists in the world” whose sermons of hate have inspired a legion of suicide bombers.

Several chilling plots, including a conspiracy to massacre thousands in New York and London, are said to be partly influenced by the cleric, pictured above. The former Soho club doorman was jailed for seven years at the Old Bailey in 2006 for soliciting the murder of non-Muslims and race hate crimes. Egyptian-born Hamza, 53, completed his sentence but was held in custody while awaiting extradition to the US.

The hook-handed cleric, who milked Britain’s benefit system while plotting to destroy the west, is believed to have met 7/7 killers Mohammed Khan, Shehzad Tanweer and Germaine Lindsay.

KHALID AL-FAWWAZ

Khalid al-Fawwaz was one of Osama Bin Laden’s key lieutenants in Britain after coming to London in 1994 to take control of the UK arm of Al Qaeda.

Two years later, Bin Laden ordered him to distribute the declaration of a holy war against Americans in Saudi Arabia. Al-Fawwaz, 47, is wanted by the FBI for bomb attacks at US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998, which claimed more than 200 lives.

SEYLA AHSAN

Seyla Talha Ahsan is accused of providing support to terrorists and conspiracy to murder, kidnap, maim or injure. He also faces a discretionary life sentence at the Supermax jail. Little is certain of his background. The suspect, also known as Syed Ashan, allegedly plotted with Ahmad in a conspiracy to kill on foreign soil. The FBI claim he played a vital role in the plot.

BABAR AHMAD

Babar Ahmad is accused of running websites inciting murder and of possessing US Navy plans showing battleships’ vulnerability to terrorist attack. The computer expert from Tooting, south London, allegedly raised money to support terrorism in Chechnya and Afghanistan while urging Muslims to become jihadists. Last week, Ahmad, 38, pictured right, admitted fighting “battles” in Bosnia but said he condemned terrorism. He claimed that if he had been put on trial in the UK in 2003, after his arrest, and had been found guilty, he would have been free by now.

HAROON ASWAT

The case against Haroon Rashid Aswat, 37, who allegedly plotted with Hamza to set up a terror camp in Oregon, was adjourned. The judges in Strasbourg want to know more about the impact on the mental health of Aswat, who grew up in Dewsbury, West Yorks, if he went to the Supermax prison. They want further submissions on the relevance of his schizophrenia and detention at Broadmoor Hospital.

ADEL ABDUL BARY

Adel Abdul Bary is alleged to have taken part in Al Qaeda’s conspiracy to bomb the embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam. The Egyptian, 49, was sentenced to death in absentia in Egypt in 1995 for his part in a plot to blow up a market.

He was granted political asylum in Britain in 1993 but was arrested in 1998 over alleged involvement in terrorism.

The schizophrenic terrorist is in the news again today
Why do so many people connected with MI5 tuto out to be schizophrenic or mentally ill?
Shayler too is the most obvious but there are many more
Could this be connected to the fact that basket cases seem to be some of the easiest to trick into these ridiculous & pointless terror roles
The question remains... who is doing the tricking?

Hamza lieutenant wins European human rights battle over extradition

Haroon Aswat suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and judges concluded his health could be damaged if extradited

European judges have barred the extradition of a lieutenant of hate preacher Abu Hamza to America because it will breach his human rights.

Haroon Aswat, from West Yorkshire, has been told he can stay in the UK even though he is accused of trying to set up a Jihad training camp in the US along with Hamza.

But the European Court of Human Rights has ruled his faces inhuman or degrading treatment if removed because of his mental condition.

Aswat, 39, suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and the judges concluded his health could be damaged because he faces possible detention in a US “supermax” prison if convicted.

The ruling was given even though the court accepted it was not clear exactly where Aswat would be detained.

He is accused by the US authorities of conspiring, along with Hamza, to establish a jihad training camp in Oregon Bly, Oregon between June 2000 and December 2001.

Hamza was extradited to America last year along with four other terror suspects but a decision on Aswat was adjourned pending further evidence on his mental health.

In the ruling given by a chamber of seven judges, the court said: "In light of the medical evidence before it, the court found that there was a real risk that Mr Aswat's extradition to the USA, a country to which he had no ties, and to a different, potentially more hostile prison environment, would result in a significant deterioration in his mental and physical health."

Despite receiving submissions from the US Department of Justice, the ECHR found that it could not be "determined with certainty" in which prison or prisons Mr Aswat would be locked up if sent to the US.

And the judges found that, if he was convicted, he could face the "highly restrictive regime" of ADX Florence, breaching Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which prohibits degrading or inhuman treatment.

A Home Office spokesman said: "We are disappointed that the European Court of Human Rights found that extradition to America would breach Haroon Aswat's human rights.

"The judgment does not become final for three months and we will consider as a matter of urgency all the legal options which are available to us. This includes whether we request a referral of the case to the Court's Grand Chamber.

Aswat suspect in london bombings is an MI6 agent

Link

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW2X98JOxdM

Everyone in this W.B.I document were linked at some point. (7/7 bombers) Mohammad Sidique Khan, Shezad Tanweer, Jermaine Linsay, Hasib Hussain, (Madrid Bomber Mastermind) Karim Mejjati, (2003 Tel Aviv Bombers) Asif Hanif, Omar Khan Sharif, Abu Faraj Al-Libbi, Zeeshan Siddiqui, mohammed Junaid Babar, Adnan El-Shukrijuma (reported by W.B.I. as the 7/7 mastermind) Saleh Al-Oufi Emir of Al-Qaeda. W.B.I. tracked Adnan El-Shukrijumas movements placing him in london 2 weeks before the London Bombings and then leaving on the morning of the bombings. The amazing thing about this information is that wires were crossed at some point and led a so called terrorism 'expert' John Loftus to report the same information on Fox/News only he mentions Haroon Aswat and not Adnan El-shukrijuma. This is one of those classic scenarios when the wrong information is fed at the time of an event and seized upon by a theorist. Haroon Aswat was never convicted as having any part in the 7/7 bombings or proved to be an agent for the British secret services.

UK or US? Mental hospital or prison appropriate?

Haroon Aswat: Mentally-ill terror suspect admits plot to set up training camp with Abu Hamza
21:47, 30 March 2015 By Alex Diaz
Paranoid schizophrenic Haroon Aswat, from West Yorkshire, could face up to 20 years' jail after admitting terror charges in a US court
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/haroon-aswat-mentally-ill-terror- suspect-5430878

A mentally ill terror suspect has admitted plotting to set up a terrorist training camp in the US with hook-handed extremist Abu Hamza.

Paranoid schizophrenic Haroon Aswat, from Dewsbury in West Yorkshire, admitted supporting terrorism and conspiracy in New York today.

He could now face up to 20 years in prison.

Prosecutors say he and Hamza conspired to create a terrorist training camp in Bly, Oregon, 15 years ago.

Hamza, 56, previously of north London, was jailed for life in January after a jury last year found him guilty of supporting terrorist organisations.

PAHaroon Rashid AswatLong battle: Aswat fought extradition to the US for several years but eventually failed
Aswat, who is thought to be 40, was arrested in 2005 in Zambia and later flown to the UK.

He fought extradition for several years and was held at Broadmoor Hospital before being sent to the US last October.

The European Court of Human Rights in January dismissed a case he brought against the Government arguing that his extradition rested on inadequate assurances from US officials about his treatment.

His lawyers claimed that it had breached Article 3 (prohibition of inhuman or degrading treatment) of the European Convention on Human Rights.

In their ruling at the time, ECHR judges said: "In light of the specific assurances and additional information received from the United States government, and the careful examination of the case by the High Court in the United Kingdom, the court found that it could not be said that there was a real risk that Mr Aswat would be subjected to treatment contrary to Article 3 if extradited.

"The Court therefore considered his complaint to be manifestly ill-founded pursuant to Article 35 of the Convention and declared the application inadmissible."

Aswat's lawyers told the court today that he has been treated for mental illness.

He will be sentenced on July 31.

Nobody in UK was told before his extradition but Aswat met two 7/7 bombers in Pakistan
Sky news tell us today that Haroon Aswat "was know to have met" alleged 7/7 bombers Khan and Tanweer in Pakistan - RIGHT!
Then why was this never mentioned at the inquests nor officially confirmed in the UK before he was extradited??

'Aswat was in Pakistan where he would later meet the ringleader of the London 7/7 attacks, Mohammed Sidique Khan, and his accomplice Shehzad Tanweer.'
Shouldn't this evidence have been presented at the Oct 2010 to May 2011 inquests?
Shouldn't the families of the 52 victims and their lawyers have been told?

UK Jihadist Jailed Over Oregon Camp Plot
Haroon Aswat tried to buy land in the northwestern US state to set up a camp where Muslims could prepare to fight in Afghanistan

Haroon Aswat will receive psychiatric care as part of his sentence
By Jason Farrell, Senior Political Correspondent
A British man linked to some of the most notorious members of al Qaeda's network has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for attempting to set up a terrorist training camp in Oregon.
Haroon Aswat, who has been treated for mental illness in the UK, had pleaded guilty to the charges in March after being extradited from Britain to the US last year.
US District Judge Katherine Forrest ordered the federal prisons bureau to provide the 41-year-old with specialised psychiatric care as part of his sentence.
With credit for 11 years he has already spent in UK and US custody as well as good behaviour, Aswat could be freed in six years.
The United States District Court Southern District of New York
Aswat learned his fate at this Manhattan federal court
His lawyer, Peter Quijano, said Aswat would seek to serve out his sentence in Britain, a request Forrest said she would support.
The case dates back to 1999 when, guided by London-based radical cleric Abu Hamza and working with another man, Ouassama Kassir, Aswat attempted to buy land in Oregon.
The plan was to build a camp where young Muslims could take "religious training" and prepare to fight in Afghanistan.
The group was helped by an American-born Muslim convert called James Ujaama, who would later give evidence against the others in a plea bargain that saw his own sentence reduced to two years in prison.
The evidence against Aswat first emerged in 2002 when US authorities recovered a ledger with his name on it at an al Qaeda safe house that had been used by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged architect of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
By this time the Oregon project had failed and Aswat was in Pakistan where he would later meet the ringleader of the London 7/7 attacks, Mohammed Sidique Khan, and his accomplice Shehzad Tanweer.
Aswat was arrested in Zambia in 2005 and deported to Britain.
There followed a long extradition process to the US, during which Aswat was interned to Broadmoor Hospital in 2008 and treated for paranoid schizophrenia.
The European Court of Human Rights blocked his extradition on the basis of concerns over the conditions he would face in a US jail.
He was finally extradited in October 2014, following assurances as to how he would be treated in custody.
Aswat, a British citizen of Indian descent, was described by his lawyers as a gentle man who never condoned violence.
But prosecutors had asked for the maximum sentence of 20 years, calling him a "loyal and devoted follower" of Hamza, who was a cleric at Finsbury Park.
District Forrest handed Abu Hamza a life term in January this year, after he was found guilty of 11 terrorism charges.

"During an interview on Fox TV this summer, the former US federal prosecutor John Loftus reported that British intelligence had used the al-Muhajiroun group in London to recruit Islamist militants with British passports for the war against the Serbs in Kosovo. Since July Scotland Yard has been interested in an alleged member of al-Muhajiroun, Haroon Rashid Aswat, who some sources have suggested could have been behind the London bombings.

According to Loftus, Aswat was detained in Pakistan after leaving Britain, but was released after 24 hours. He was subsequently returned to Britain from Zambia, but has been detained solely for extradition to the US, not for questioning about the London bombings. Loftus claimed that Aswat is a British-backed double agent, pursued by the police but protected by MI6."

So Abu Hamza was definitely working for MI5, under the codename 'Damson Berry'.
And the Queen wanted him out of the country. Why? Had her MI5 chums urged her to get Hamza and Aswat out of the UK legal jurisdiction?
So none of her subjects could bring private prosecutions against MI5 for running a terror cell in Finsbury Park Mosque in the early 2000s that ended up killing 56 people on 7/7?
We know the FP Imam begged the Met pre 7/7 to help him get rid of them from the mosque which Abu Hamza and his assistand Haroon Rashid Aswat were using as part of the Al Muhajiroun jihadi group.
We also know that Haroon Aswat was named by Scotalnd Yard in 2005 as the probable 'mastermind' of the 7/7 London Bombings having been in touch with all four alleged bombers in the couple of days before 7/7.
He's now also languishing in a US jail, also out of reach of any justice should any UK police prosecuters or victims' families wish to prosecute either of the men.
Does rather look like the Queen was right to be nervous about Frank Gardener saying on the Today programme "I can tell you that the Queen was pretty upset that there was no way to arrest him. She couldn't understand – surely there had been some law that he had broken?" Because what we're witnessing here is the Head of State, who likes to appear to the public and press as 'non political', using her considerable influence over government and the judiciary, to help terrorist suspects escape justice in the 7/7 London Bombings. Those terror suspects include both Haroon Aswat, Abu Hamza and MI5 handlers and officers who were managing the Finsbury Park Cell.
Technically the Queen could, and I believe should, be prosecuted under section 15 of the Terrorism Act 2000 for her political influence to prevent Hamza, and presumably Aswat too, being held to account.
A second count too of Perverting the Course of Justice. The Al Muhajiroun pair could possibly be assisted to turn 'Queen's evidence' to testify against MI5 officers in the 7/7 London Bombings and subsequent cover-up.
Just more proof, if it were needed, that we are living in a lawless nation. As with ex-Senator Stuart Syvret's exposure of the Jersey child sexual abuse, all roads lead to Buckingham Palace, Sandringham and Balmoral.

Abu Hamza says he was tipped off about 9/11 FOUR DAYS before attacks

HATE preacher Abu Hamza says he was tipped off about 9/11 four days before the horrendous terror attack on New York City.
By CHLOE KERR PUBLISHED: 12:04, Mon, Jan 15, 2018
[]The hook-handed former imam claims he received a phonemail from terrorists in Afghanistan who told him “something big will happen very soon”.
The revelation comes from court documents as the 59-year-old is launching an appeal claiming conditions in the Supermax prison in Colorado, where he is being held, breach his human rights.
Hamza also claims British spies were hacking his phone at the time raising questions as to whether the UK was withholding information from America.
The court documents, seen by The Sunday Times, also reveal Hamza was an agent for MI5 and Special Branch, going by the code name Damson Berry.
Almost 3,000 people died after al-Qaeda terrorists flew hijacked planes into the World Trade Centre twin towers in New York and the Pentagon in September 2001.
The allegations come after a black and white photo of the hate preacher taken within the prison emerged recently.
The snap shows him without his hooks, looking scrawny with white hair and beard.
The convicted hate preacher has been in solitary confinement for two years and is appealing to be moved to a British prison.
He claims his conditions at the Supermax prison breach his human rights under Article 3 of the European Convention, which prevents from “inhuman and degrading treatment”.
After his conviction of 11 charges, he was put into solitary confinement and only allowed out of his cell for one hour each day.
Even when he gets fresh air he is kept in a cage away from other inmates.
Before he was extradited to the US in 2012, he was locked up in Belmarsh prison in south east London.
There he received frequent medical visits as he is a double amputee, blind in one eye and suffers from diabetes, psoriasis and a condition that means he sweats excessively.
However, he does not get the same treatment in Colorado.
The document claims: “The stumps in both arms are subject to regular outbreaks of infections, which have been increasing in severity.”
ADX Florence in Colorado holds 410 male inmates deemed too dangerous to be in one of the country’s high security jails.
In 2004, Hamza was arrested by British police after the US requested he be extradited to face charges. He was later charged by British authorities with sixteen offences for inciting violence and racial hatred
[Innocent] In 2004, Hamza was arrested by British police after the US requBoston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is also held in the Supermax.
In May 2014, Hamza was convicted of all 11 charges on terrorism offences at Manhattan’s Federal Court and sentenced to life imprisonment without any possibility of parole in January 2015. He wants to serve the remainder of his sentence in England.
One of his lawyers said: “We strongly believe that the conditions of his confinement violate the expectations of the European Convention on Human Rights and the promises that were made by the US government to the [British and European] courts as part of the extradition process.
“He would go back to Belmarsh in a second if he could.”

Should BBC have let Queen off the hook over Hamza?

Corporation 'sorry' after revealing monarch 'lobbied Government to expel extremist'
Terri Judd, Ian Burrell Tuesday 25 September 2012 18:34 BST
The BBC was criticised last night for making an abject apology to the Queen after one of its senior journalists claimed that the monarch politically intervened in the case of the radical Islamist cleric Abu Hamza.
The BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner said on breakfast radio that the Queen had lobbied a Home Secretary about what she saw as the unduly lenient treatment of Abu Hamza, questioning why he had not already been arrested.
Within four hours, the BBC – nine days into the stewardship of its new director-general George Entwistle – apologised to Buckingham Palace, saying that Gardner, one of the most respected journalists of his generation, had betrayed the Queen's confidence. The corporation "deeply regretted" his "wholly inappropriate" revelation, it said.
Republicans and some journalists criticised the BBC apology, insisting it was right that the public learnt of such interventions.
Gardner's disclosure is troublesome for Buckingham Palace because the Queen traditionally does not intervene in public policy. As a constitutional monarch, the 86-year-old is supposed to maintain political neutrality. She holds a private weekly audience with the prime minister of the day – she is on her 12th – and so the public rarely ever learns her opinion on any matter of consequence.
Kevin Marsh, a former editor of Today and former editor of the BBC College of Journalism who now runs the media teaching company OffspinMedia, said: "I can understand the new Director-General would want to close this down quickly but I thought the apology was a little excessive."
He added: "I was surprised when I heard Frank Gardner make the comment because he is terribly meticulous."
The revelation and subsequent apology elicited an angry response from Republic, the pressure group that lobbies for the abolition of the monarchy, which accused the BBC of a pro-royalist public relations exercise.
"The decision to disclose this one conversation while keeping all else secret smacks of a deliberate PR stunt to put the Queen on the right side of public opinion," Republic claimed.
Its chief executive Graham Smith accused the Queen of "meddling in the political process", adding: "We're told the Queen is above politics and never gets involved, yet she has apparently admitted that she has interfered in a controversial issue."
Gardner, who was not available for comment following the BBC apology yesterday, is understood not to have felt especially constrained by royal protocol given his specialism in security rather than Palace matters, and to have initially thought his disclosure of marginal significance.
Details of the Queen's comments emerged as it was revealed that the radical cleric, 54, and four other terror suspects could be sent to the US within days after the European Court of Human Rights threw out their request for an appeal to the Grand Chamber.
Discussing the issue on Radio 4's Today programme yesterday morning, Gardner said: "I can tell you that the Queen was pretty upset that there was no way to arrest him. She couldn't understand – surely there had been some law that he had broken?
"In the end, sure enough, there was. He was eventually convicted and sentenced for seven years for soliciting murder and racial hatred."
His surprised colleague, the presenter James Naughtie, replied that this revelation was "a corker". Gardner said: "She told me she spoke to the Home Secretary at the time and said, 'Surely this man must have broken some laws. Why is he still at large? He was conducting these radical activities and he called Britain a toilet. He was incredibly anti-British and yet he was sucking up money from this country for a long time.'"
Buckingham Palace declined to comment on private conversations.
Gardner did not specify which Home Secretary the Queen had lobbied, although David Blunkett, who held the post from 2001 to 2004, at the peak of Abu Hamza's infamy and before he was arrested, soon after denied it was him: "I can categorically state that the Queen never raised the issue of Abu Hamza with me. Not surprisingly because my views and attitude in relation to this individual were very well known."

Royal views: Upset and angry
Several years before fox hunting with dogs was banned in 2005, it is reported the Queen lobbied Tony Blair at Balmoral.
Her biographer Sally Bedell Smith wrote: "She patiently explained to him over dinner that hunting was an activity not only for the upper class but regular people as well."
Her Majesty was also enraged by the credit crunch, having lost a substantial portion of her personal fortune as the "awful" economic crisis began. At a briefing by LSE academics, she said: "Why did nobody notice it?"
Prince Charles, whose letters to ministers will soon be revealed following a High Court ruling, is far more dogged in pursuing influence over senior government figures. He has already summoned Chancellor George Osborne and the Education Secretary Michael Gove for secret meetings.
During the Blair years, he allegedly enraged the Prime Minister with his disgust for genetically modified food and his boycott of a state banquet for China's President Jiang Zemin. In 1984, he described a planned addition to the National Gallery as a "monstrous carbuncle".
