Yes, I think it does need to be explained to me what this wake "should" have done. What particular physical phenomenon do you base this "should" on?
Let me guess: someone at 911Idiots said so, and without considering it for more than 2 seconds you decided to spam it here. Correct?
Be that as it may, once an object stops moving and displacing the fluid it's travelling through, it stops generating a wake however suddenly that occurs.
The wake itself has no forward momentum - it's merely a trail that peters out when the generating mechanism ceases.
Can't see what's so difficult to understand about that, especially since it must be only a year or so since this particular red herring was last brought up.
So - explain away, jfk.
