New Spooks series kicks off with racist propaganda

Sickening warmongers' racism greets us in the first few minutes of tonights opening blast of hopefully the terminal series of the BBC racist drama Spooks.

Some great British lads are having a cozy pint in the pub. As one, who happens to be a soldier, heads off home a bunch of 'crazies' from propaganda creation of MI6 and NATO's racist warmongers, Al-Qaeda, the CIA's database of Mujahadeen, smash the soldier over the head with an iron bar. He's then viciously beaten and kicked in the face repeatedly then bundled into a black van.

This sort of racist hypnosis is a far cry from The Edge of Darkness and how world wars start.

Actually its against the law the BB 'effin' C should be ashamed. Anyone would think BBC Drama were working directly for the Israeli Defence Force to get British people to hate Arabs. Maybe they are.

it's the finest propaganda the licence payer will see,thrills and spills all exciting stuff.
Unfortunately, all based on a huge myth.I only saw the first 5 minutes or so,that was enough BS for me.

I've just had a reply from BBC's complaints:

I understand you feel the programme amounted to propaganda and I note your concerns that some viewers may believe in the action presented.

Drama productions like 'Spooks' aren't always best served by attention to detail and a certain amount of dramatic licence can be involved in trying to capture the essence of an issue and then conveying this to an audience. We appreciate that any deviation from accuracy can be irritating to some viewers but there are constraints which mean that we can't or don't always want to keep as closely to the level of detail that some viewers would like us to.

Over the course of the series, 'Spooks' has used a huge range of groups to create the threat that has been posed over the course of the episodes. We're able to do this because we are confident that our viewers are capable of distinguishing between fact and fiction.

Nevertheless, I appreciate you may continue to hold concerns and I'd like to assure you that we've registered your comments on our audience log. This is the internal report of audience feedback which we compile daily for the programme makers and commissioning executives within the BBC, and also their senior management. It ensures that your points, and all other comments we receive, are circulated and considered across the BBC.

Spooks 3rd episode at about 7 or 8 minutes in, a "Whitestar" van with
a similar star shaped logo to the real Kingstar van by the blown up bus
on July 7 2005!

I think you have to read this more subtlely. It is not all bad.

4 bits caught my eye.

1) when they questioned how it would look if an MI5 agent (in the drama an undercover agent) were to be found to have been one of the bombers

2) that the bombers were protrayed as patsies who thought they were going on a dummy run and acting on the orders of one baddy and when they were actually being played by a pakistani intelligence agent.

3) that it was conceiveable (but with 100% deniability) for HMG to negotiate with alQ and that militarily the war is unwinnable by either 'side'

4) When the more 'dove like' AQ leader is blown up in a plane crash over Kazakstan, the spooks' automatic intuitive response is to dismiss the media line of AQ suicide bomber and assume American false flag terror.

Whatever it is, it is a damned more subtle than Soviet/Nazi propaganda

Yes, it's way and ahead the most sophisticated drama on TV at the moment. Early signs absolutely dire. Let's see how it pans out.
The British military and British Legion are all, I mean all, watching this show avidly.
