Dear Friend,
I am pleased to announce further details for the Venezuela: 10 Years of Democracy and Social Progress conference this Saturday (April 4.)
Recently confirmed speakers include Richard Hallam MBE, British Government National Music Participation Director and member of the In Harmony Steering Group, who will deliver a message from Julian Lloyd Webber and discuss how In Harmony has been inspired by Venezuela's El Sistema.
In addition to a wide-range of in-depth workshops led by Venezuelan speakers on the achivements and next steps for the Chavez-led government, there will be a unique opportunity to participate in a 'Q&A' session with speakers from Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador and Venezuela on the progressive changes taking place in Latin America.
There will also be film showings of Red Oil (which was produced by Venezuelan Aimara Reques who will speak at the event) and the new film Listening to Venezuela, and discussion and questions with the people that made them.
Remember, you can visit our website to register for the Conference and the 'Evening for Venezuela' with Mark Steel online. Please don't hesitate to contact the office should you require more information.
Best wishes,
Matt Willgress
