Hi. I didn't want to create a new thread on the swine flu, but this is a different aspect. Also it's difficult to know where to put this one, but I plumped for here
About three days ago I was given a frequency rate for a homeopathic remedy for Mexican flu and a preferred potency of 30C by an experienced licensed homeopath, which I have been able to create on a remedy maker.
Of course I had to sample the remedy, taking a couple of pills over the last two days, and by this afternoon was experiencing very very mild flulike symptoms, a runny nose,a bit of a cough,an occasional bit of a shiver, a slight aching in one or two joints, a slight feeling of 'offness'.
What happens when a homeopath creates a brand new remedy, is that it's then given out to a group of people, who start taking it daily for a week two weeks or a lot longer- this is called a "proving" - and members of the group take a note of any symptoms,sensations, dreams,cures of other symptoms and all and any changes within themselves and report back to the coordinator. The material provided is collated and provides a basic drug picture of what kind of stuff the remedy is likely to be useful for in a sick individual - in the case of a 'nosode' like this -ie a remedy from a disease process- it will likely be not only useful for flu but for other individual disease states.
So the upshot is:
1. I know a proving effect when I feel one and am pretty sure that my experiences today are an example of one of those. I know also that this particular state will very soon pass
2.I'd quite like to send a small sample of pills to anyone who would like to try it, on condition that they note and report back to me with all changes they note, over a period initially of 2 weeks
3. I'm pretty sure now that this is the correct remedy due to the, let me emphasize very mild and untroubling but distinct symptoms. This being the case, this will undoubtedly confer immunity to Mexican flu on the "prover" in case of a full pandemic
4. All I'll need is a willingness to take the remedy daily for two weeks,and to collect a brief diary of all changes noted, plus an address to send the remedy to

Hi Paul, homoeopathic remedies work by simulating an illness and thereby helping the body to combat that illness. Right?
However, it turns out that 'Swine' flu has been genetically engineered by splicing genes from four different viruses - Bird flu - two types of human flu - and Swine flu.
Now because differing viruses have similar effects, we might think that a homoeopathic remedy can tackle any one of them - but will it tackle all of them at the same time? So-called Swine flu is apparently genetically engineered and you think that homoeopathy which produces similar effects to flu, can protect a person from the four at the same time? The immune system is very effective but when confronted with four viruses at the same time, is greatly weakened. Sorry but homoeopathy will not work, because the immune system will be overloaded with four different types of flu at the same time.
