i have no idea if this is considered 'related' to anything.
however reading this made my blood boil. is this the next thing they are going to tell parents they are not allowed to do? whilst the goverments lie daily about seemingly everything?
no mention of tooth fairys, santa claus and the easter bunny, but hey they need that to be told to kids to bring up the next generation of consumers.
House of lies: Is fibbing to your kids ever OK?
Honesty may be the best policy, but it's not always practical, experts say

OK to lie to your children? This is much more sinister imo:
How about:
Is it ok for children to hide an adult man in the family house, lying to their father to conceal it?
Apparently so -

F'ing disgraceful.

OK to lie to your children? - "I don't know anymore - I need an 'expert' or a 'social-worker' to tell me"
Well, I think it's generally related to the fact that the right and ability of parents to bring up their children in the way they choose is being constantly eroded. Don't trust your own instincts. Best to ask the "experts".
I think it's generally related to what Aaron Russo said about one of the real reasons for "Feminism" - seperate children from their mothers, the better to indoctrinate them - to want one world government.

Is it okay to lie to kids? Of course. Whether it is a flagrant lie or a lie by omission. Kids have an annoying habit of asking awkward questions which people may not feel comfortable asking at that age. Fancy explaining to your kid exactly why they can't talk to creepy old Mr Jones across the road?
Oh and Simon I watch the show the other day (I'm recently unemployed) it's obviously fake anyway. Kinda worrying actually how many shows that are obviously faked are now on these days. |

This is something I feel very strongly about, and feel the need to say that IMO it is never OK to lie to or deceive your kids.
Yes that includes easter bunny and Santa and all the rest of that consumerist nonsense that fogs the minds of children and sets up convenient patterns of consumption that are reinforced year on year until the children become parents themselves(as I just have) and warmly feel they have a duty to perpetuate the cycle with their own family.
who benefits from this? surely not the kids who don't know ant better than to go along with the deception that mum & dad have instituted for their "benefit".
whew rant over sorry about that _________________ Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut, that held its ground.

"and feel the need to say that IMO it is never OK to lie to or deceive your kids."
And so when they ask why they can't talk to creepy Mr Jones do you tell them exactly why he was in jail for 15 years, what happened to his little daughter and what exactly he likes to do with a meat cleaver? Or do you skip those parts and lie by omission? |

well in the case of your highly unlikely and overly extreme example I suppose I would tell my kids that 15 years ago Mr jones was not well and killed his own daughter and as such was to be given a very wide berth.
but this raises a question as to your own capacity to accept that people can change as you seem to be implying that if the hypothetical mr jones was mentally sick enough 15 years ago to murder his own hypothetical child that he would be default remain a threat to anyone under the age of 16. _________________ Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut, that held its ground.

Do you have kids Mr Nice? Would you really let them be around a child killer? Fancy having Ian Huntley babysit?
And I wouldn't be for explaining the exact nature of his crimes. Somethings are best kept away from kids, think of it like having an 18 certificate on certain aspects of life. And rightly so, it's childhood, it shouldn't be intruded upon in such ways. |

It is just not funny at all. Lying to children causes the lies they will always find okay. Santa and Easter bunny are part of the fabric of lie acceptance.
It sucks that sentient beings entertain such idea and still claim to have the ability to think.
Also some here seem to think they have any say in the subjects they squirt out and they don't. ANYTIME the queens men want, the queens men take. If that is not clear enough, the EU rights of the child are over yours. If that is not enouhg the EU has granted every citizen the right to mandatory education as part of the 4 rights granted. |
