BTW - query response times are currently sub 10s+ max. total for all queries. How were the queries in the UH logs adding up to 100s++ individually?? That seems indicate a flaw with their system setup or loading from other UH clients on same machine affecting our performance - not the other way around. UH staff may have picked on this forum as the source when the problem was occurring elsewhere ...

Thanks Tony for getting site back up. They just referred my Ticket to the one you had raised. Did you go for the dedicated server option as a short term solution?

It's all on Moses now - our new dedicated server - any comments on last night's changeover appreciated. and I'll feed them back to United Hosting.

Well done for getting the forum up and running again. But the episode still doesn't make sense to me.

If United Hosting had pulled the plug, I would have expected a clear message from them about exceeding our quota, or something like that. How come the site was replaced by the Apache (web server) page? If the plug was pulled, how could the referral to the bilderberg site have been posted. Who looks after the technical stuff?

Perhaps when the current flurry of activity is over it would be possible for someone to document, concisely, exactly what happened. I think that could be useful.

Oh dear,

Just heard that the move didn't work out very well and they've had to postpone it until either tonight or tomorrow night
So we're still on the old server.

It's not interfering with posting but I'm now getting this msg after some uploads:-

"Could not connect to smtp host : 0 : php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known"

Nevertheless, all kudos for keeping this site running and up-to-date. Still the very best 9/11 resource around, IMO ;-)

When I post, I get an error message. The message appears to be published but there is no record of the entry on the forum front page.

Just thought you might like to know since I may not be the only person with this problem. I use Mac Firefox.

Now it seems my account is finally active, although some quirks are here because of your transition from another domain name.

My main problem today is that I cannot save my avatar. Your system tells me the avatar cannot be stored locally on your server.

Here's what I want (under 8K and under 80x80 px):

This image is remote, but I cannot upload it either. Any tricks I should know about?

However, I tried TonyGossling's avatar, and got the same message as earlier from the Profile/Avatar choosing tool:

«Could not write avatar file to local storage. Please contact the board administrator with this message»
