I finally got around to reading this and it is superb. In one chapter he focuses on why the Bush administration did very 'strange' things, almost as if they were desiring some form of public scrutiny. The 'Bush reading thing' is highlighted here. Why did he continue to sit and listen to 2nd graders read about that goat, when the press and t.v. cameras were in tow? Why did Rumsfeld and Rice etc, contradict themselves regarding prior knowledge to the attacks. Why did they leave a lot of fraying loose ends blowing in the wind? It's almost like they wanted to get caught and the only thing impeding this is a chronically indoctrinated populace. It's like they were testing the waters and pushing things as far as they could. It doesnt make sense?

Sure it does, you push as far as the populace will allow. Its a very sofly soflty approach to communism. They call it democracy.
