FBI Withholding 84 More Tapes of Pentagon on 9/11


During the long build-up to the grand disappointment yesterday, the media explained that the reason the government had withheld the video tapes was to prevent bias in the Moussaoui trial. This was a weak explanation since the jury was shown the videos during the trial. However, taking that explanation at face value, the same reasoning has to apply to the other 84 videos/disks confiscated by the FBI on 9-11. The Moussaoui trial is over. The images on those tapes cannot bias his potential jury pool. It is time to hand those tapes back to their owners. They are not government property. ---
