Apparently this has been spurred on by a 'transparent folder of sensitive documents' seen entering no10 which 'compromised' those involved.
Hope a note is made to be a little more careful with 'sensitive information' when they next decide to accidentally lose/flaunt it in front of those lovely helpful CCTV cameras...

One thing the police missed in their briefing to invited journalists was the name: Operation Make The bs Seem Real
Quote:
Earlier on Wednesday press photographers in Downing Street snapped Mr Quick clutching a white document marked "secret" and containing the names of several senior officers, locations and details about the nature of the overseas threat. Details of the information revealed cannot be reported.
Mr Quick was attending the meeting in his role as lead for counter terrorism and for the Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo).
On Wednesday evening he apologised to Met Commissioner Sir Paul Stephenson for the slip.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Assistant Commissioner Quick accepts he made a mistake on leaving a sensitive document on open view and deeply regrets it.
"He has apologised to the Commissioner and colleagues."
Police chief's blunder forces terror officers to mount 'al-Qaeda' swoops --Hundreds of police officers arrested 12 people and raided eight properties. 09 Apr 2009 A major terrorism operation was launched last night after a security blunder forced police to swoop on suspects who sources claim have links to al-Qaeda. Sources said the raids, in the north-west of England, were brought forward after Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Bob Quick was photographed clutching sensitive documents as he arrived in Downing Street.

The man taking over from Bob Quick has the dubious luck of being the person turned to when things go pear-shaped at the Met.
The police's reliance on John Yates for all sorts of high-profile investigations and apologies led him to receive the distinction of a bona-fide tabloid nickname: 'Yates of the Yard'.
It's not the only nickname he's received. He was referred to as the leader of the 'Celebrity Squad' after heading the investigations into Lord Archer for perjury, John Leslie for rape and a fraud investigation involving the game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
In 2005 he took on the investigation into the cash-for-honours affair, arguably the most high-profile police investigation of the period. And he showed no fear in conducting it. He interviewed Tony Blair several times – on each occasion prompting a slew of front-page headlines and reams of column inches discussing the fact a sitting prime minister was being questioned by police.
Lord Levy, Blair's chief fundraiser and his special envoy to the Middle East, also came in for questioning. He wasn't alone. By the end of the investigation 130 people had been interviewed and four arrested. But the crown prosecution service (CPS) said there was insufficient evidence to pres charges. Yates, clearly frustrated, said his officers had received "less than full co-operation".
His last high-profile task came in the form of a long-overdue apology to the family of Jean Charles de Menezes, the Brazilian electrician shot dead by counter-terrorist police after the failed London bombings in 2005.
So, this looks like yet another charade to put more pressure on the Pakistan government - to imprison or kill those who would fight for their freedom against the Global Government, or to further stand aside and let the USA do it.
Only yesterday I heard that the Pakistan president had asked for the USA to give them the drones so they could use them and not have the USA violating Pakistan's sovereignty (what sovereignty? don't you know we're building a one world government here? hmm do you need a little demonstration of what we can do to you and your people?).
Would be interesting to see more of the "Media Strategy" section in their secret document. The real one, that is, not the one paraded by Quick to the cameras.
For I believe everything went according to plan. i.e. Everything that happened, including Bob Quick's performance, was part of their Media Strategy.
Why? Because they would need an excuse for not having practically any evidence when this case goes to court, and the excuse is, of course, Bob Quick's "mistake", which "forced" them to arrest the "plotters" before enough evidence of their no doubt nefarious plot was uncovered.
Bob has fallen on the sword (not really, he'll just be moved to another job or knighted or something later on), to con-vince the British people amongst whom are the future JURY for the trial (who are already having their minds coloured by the police comments and media reports), just how damn IMPORTANT this raid was. Yes, really.
At the same time, they remind the sheeple that the government and their policy enforcers (cops) are there to protect them*, after that image received a blow through Ian Tomlinson's death and general police thuggery at the G20 protests. Takes the spotlight off the economy as well.
* "Community Impact, Engagement, Reassurance." - one of the sections in the document.
But couldn't it just have been a real mistake that Quick made? No. If so, the DA Notice issued would have prevented any reporting whatsoever on the "mistake" etc, rather than allow the public to be "primed" about an impending raid on un-named suspects. Since any real suspects planning something would have been put on the alert immediately.
This is just more theatre and lies. Already it has been reported that no explosives were found in the searches.
If this was a real terrorist plan, you can bet the wicked people in high places would have loved to let it go ahead (unless the rulers themselves were the targets). And they probably will let one happen soon, or arrange another one themselves (which I think they prefer not to do because there are always holes in a concocted story, hence why so few terrorist attacks since 9/11). These guys weren't going to do anything, so might as well arrest them and kick up another terror-frenzy.
I don't believe anything they say anymore, or any so-called "evidence" they come up with.
T.H.E.Y.* put good men in prison and protect bad men. Judge a tree by the fruit it bears. The tree of the judicial system is rotten. And will be uprooted.
* The Hierarchy Enslaving You.

1 Jesus said: The Pharisees (politicians) and the Scribes (lawyers) have received the Keys of Knowledge (God's Truth in His Books), they have hidden them (by suppressing the Truth and making up their own laws and traditions). They did not enter, and they did not let those enter who wished.
2 But you, become wise as serpents and innocent as doves.
3 Jesus said: A vine (legal, political, social, financial and economic system) has been planted without the Father and, as it is not authorised (illegal under God's Laws, which are the ONLY LAWS on Earth in the eyes of God - Deuteronomy 4:2), it will be pulled up by its roots and be destroyed.
Matthew 5

3 Jesus said: A vine (legal, political, social, financial and economic system) has been planted without the Father and, as it is not authorised (illegal under God's Laws, which are the ONLY LAWS on Earth in the eyes of God - Deuteronomy 4:2), it will be pulled up by its roots and be destroyed.
So what I would very much like to know from Christians, at this ghastly juncture is; Where is the gardener?
He/She has had ample opportunity over the last 20 years to do an awful lot of weeding and pruning but we suffer more and more every day from the very worst superweeds of the CFR Officianalis, Bilderbergiensis and Trilateralorum strains. Should we rely just on the Percy Schmeisser's of this world or take the pruning shears and organic pesticides into our own hands?
The central conundrum. I mean it's not as if these superweeds hide their darkness under a bushel, is it? Only yesterday Prez O'Bummer spoke up on officialising Chemtrails, referring to the CFR report on same.
If these strains are not curtailed 'very soon now' we will surely be overrun, choked and withered.
Enough of analogies. Rise up or be enslaved. Ask yourself if a life of slavery is what you want for your kids. If your answer is no, then how much is your life worth?
Aaron Russo was not talking out of his posterior in this most seminal of clips, designed for the shortest of attention spans:-
Defending the time it took the IPCC to take over the investigation, Hardwick told Channel 4 News: "Our investigators were all over this." He added: "This is now a criminal investigation for which someone may face very serious charges."

Police urge calm over terror 'targets'
Move to calm fears over Easter terror campaig
Millions of people living in Manchester have been urged not to let speculation over potential targets affect their Easter plans.
Greater Manchester Chief Constable Peter Fahy said the public should not fear visiting any of the reported targets of a suspected al-Qaeda plot over the weekend.
Mr Fahy said he and his family would have 'no hesitation' in using shopping locations such as Manchester's Trafford Centre and Arndale Centre.
Whitehall sources said the 12 men arrested across the North West on Wednesday were under surveillance by MI5 and police for weeks but the nature or potential target of the plot remained unclear.
One source said: 'There was information of sufficient concern that action needed to be taken. Work is ongoing to get to the bottom of it.'
The official described reports the alleged plotters may have been sizing up 'soft targets' such as shopping centres, nightclubs and football grounds like Old Trafford as 'speculation'.
Security staff at the Trafford Centre said they had not been informed of any threat.
And a spokesman for the Arndale Centre said there was 'no evidence' of any specific targeting of the complex.
Mr Fahy also said police had not uncovered a threat to a particular location, although the investigation was still ongoing.
'Clearly, there's been some speculation about certain locations, particularly in the North West, concerning this investigation,' he said.
'There is no particular threat against any particular location and certainly not the ones mentioned in the media.
'I would like to say I would have no hesitation, or any of my family, in using any of those locations that have been mentioned.'
Eleven Pakistani nationals - of which at least ten held student visas - and one UK-born British national remain in custody.
Forensics officers are continuing to conduct searches of the raided addresses in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester and Liverpool.
That's Plan A, and it is conditional upon enough people getting behind it. At present, man's Satanically inspired "laws" and their enforcers have thrown the Gardener in prison, and they have been able to do so because people continue to reject God's Laws and prefer to live in bondage.
Plan B is what Matthew 24 and Revelation say. i.e. God saying what is going to happen if we prove Him right about our rebellious nature and do not change our ways. The curse mentioned in Malachi 4:6. Only the Elect will be saved.
Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers (The Law & the Prophets) to the children (this generation), and the heart of the children (this generation) to their fathers (The Law & the Prophets), lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
If people do not want to accept Him as their King and sort this mess out, then the Pruning will become the Reaping.
2 Esdras 7:26 Behold, the Time shall come, that these Tokens (Signs) which I have told thee SHALL come to pass, and The Bride (New Jerusalem - Revelation 21:2) shall appear, and she coming forth shall be seen, that now is withdrawn from the Earth.
7:27 And whosoever is delivered from the aforesaid evils shall see My wonders.
7:28 For My Son the Saviour shall be REVEALED with those that be with him, and they that remain (survive) shall rejoice within four hundred years.
7:43 But the Day of Doom shall be the End of this Time, and the beginning of the IMMORTALITY for to come, wherein corruption is past,
8:50 For MANY great MISERIES shall be done to them that in the Latter-Time shall dwell in the world, BECAUSE they have walked in great pride (and in the WRONG direction, including destroying their own environmental life-support system for money).
8:55 And therefore ask thou no more questions concerning the multitude of them that perish.
8:56 For when they had taken liberty, they despised The Most High, thought scorn of His Law, and forsook His Ways (The Covenants).
8:57 Moreover they have trodden down His righteous,
8:58 And said in their heart, that there is no God; yea, and [God] knowing that: THEY MUST DIE.
9:13 And therefore be thou not curious HOW the unGodly SHALL BE punished, and when: but inquire HOW the righteous shall be saved
9:15 I have said before, and now do speak, and will speak it also hereafter (in Revelation/Apocalypse 14:3), that there be many more of them which perish, than of them which shall be saved:
9:16 Like as a wave is greater than a drop.
13:6 But I beheld, and, lo, he had graved himself a great mountain, and flew up upon it (Daniel 2:34-35, 44-45).
13:7 But I would have seen the region or place whereout the hill was graven, and I could not (Isaiah 33:16-17 - "Fortress of Rock").
13:36 And Sion (New Jerusalem) shall come (down out of the sky), and shall be showed to all men, being prepared and builded, like as thou sawest the hill graven without hands (not built by humans - Revelation 21:2 & 10).
13:37 And this My Son shall rebuke the wicked inventions of those nations, which because of their wicked life are fallen into the tempest (storm - Ezekiel 13:13);
13:38 And shall lay before them their evil thoughts, and the torments wherewith they shall begin to be tormented, which are like unto a flame: and he shall destroy them without labour, by The Law which is like unto fire (God's Law).
Apocalypse/Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, and the Time of the "Dead", that they should be Judged, and that Thou shouldest give reward unto Thy Servants the Prophets, and to the holy people, and them that fear Thy name, small and great; and shouldest DESTROY THEM WHICH DESTROY THE EARTH.
Father will not override people's freewill. If they do not voluntarily choose to return to Him and His Law, "Christians" included*, then they will have no part in the Kingdom.
* Matthew 7
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

UK "Terror Plot": Gordon Brown points finger at Pakistan
Now that the UK Defense Minister has publicly announced Britain’s engagement in Obama’s “Af-Pak War” [1], it is hardly surprising that the latest wave of relentless false-flag terrorism propaganda by the British government and media specifically target Pakistani citizens living in the UK.
Just a day before the “Easter Plot”, the “civilian” Prime Minister of Pakistan went as far as saying “give us the drones and missiles that will allow us to take care of this problem on our own”; meaning the Pakistani Armed Forces’ extermination of its own people who resist the imperialist invasion of their country. Within Britain's counter-terrorism community they are known as the "clean skins": highly trained, professional killers whose blameless backgrounds provide not the slightest clue as to their true, evil intent.
The phenomenon was first identified during the bloody 30-year campaign the IRA waged against the British Isles. […]
Now it appears that the "clean skins" may be back, this time in Islamist form. That is the logical conclusion to be drawn from the latest operation in which anti-terror police detained […] 11 Pakistani-born nationals who had entered Britain on student visas (and one British national), which suggest that al-Qaeda might now be attempting to effect a radical transformation in its tactics.
Every year, some 10,000 Pakistanis arrive here on student visas. Ministers have virtually no means of knowing how many are dangerous radicals, and how many genuine seekers after knowledge.

Great for generating bs racist publicity this little Bob Quick / MI5 game.

Twelve men have been arrested in the north west of England after Britain's most senior counter-terrorism police officer sparked a security alert.
Assistant Commissioner Bob Quick said he "deeply regretted" revealing a secret document to photographers when he arrived for a briefing at No 10.

Police criticised over anti-terror arrests
The "secret" documents clutched by Mr Quick were clearly on show
Police have been criticised for failing to consult specialist prosecutors properly ahead of high-profile anti-terror arrests in north-west England.
Independent reviewer of terrorism laws Lord Carlile said the police did not seek advice on whether there was enough evidence to bring criminal charges.
Twelve students were detained in raids in April but all were later freed.
Greater Manchester Police said it had consulted the Crown Prosecution Service and acted to protect public safety.
The students were arrested in simultaneous raids across Manchester, Merseyside and Lancashire as part of Operation Pathway.
The arrests were a response to what police thought was an imminent terror threat, but had to be launched a day early after Bob Quick, then head of UK counter-terrorism, was photographed holding details of the operation.
Mr Quick later resigned over the incident.
'Specialist advice'
Lord Carlile told the BBC that while there was "a sound basis for carrying out arrests", there was insufficient evidence to charge the men by the time their initial period of detention was up.
ANALYSIS
By Nick Ravenscroft, BBC News
As I stood on the street corners of Manchester's Cheetham Hill, with its large Muslim population, bemused or angry people kept making the same comment to me: "It's just like Forest Gate."
They were referring to the London terror raids in 2006 on the home of two brothers in which one was accidentally shot. And no-one was ever charged.
When, two weeks after the arrests in north-west England, all the men were again released without charge, many critics of the police felt vindicated.
Well, now, a new twist. Although Lord Carlile points out the police failed to seek specialist legal advice before the raids, he does suggest there was ample justification for the arrest of at least some of the 12 men. The police will take at least some satisfaction from that.
And, crucially, there was also insufficient evidence to seek to hold them longer, he added.
"The police and the CPS were in contact, but the CPS were not asked to give specialist advice effectively until about a week after the arrests," he said.
Lord Carlile said earlier consultation might have resulted in fewer arrests being made in the first place.
But he insisted the problems had nothing to do with Mr Quick's blunder in Downing Street.
"The arrests had to be brought forward, but nevertheless there was plenty of time to obtain advice well ahead and I think that this might have resulted in a more complete operation, a better operation that would have shown terrorism law used more accurately."
He did, however, say that anyone attending any meeting "concerned with national security... should seek to avoid places where it is suspected cameras may be present".
The BBC's Nick Ravenscroft says Mr Quick's gaffe raised the profile of the operation and forced it to be carried out in daylight.
Normally raids are done before dawn, out of the public glare and when suspects are still in their beds, our correspondent says.
'No bail'
Assistant Chief Constable Dave Thompson of Greater Manchester Police said: "In this situation we felt we had to act to protect the public.
"We did speak to the Crown Prosecution Service ahead of arrests being made and will continue to work with them. However, none of the conversations would have changed our decision to make arrests or the number of people arrested."
Home Secretary Alan Johnson said: "As the report highlights, police need to make difficult decisions about when to make arrests based on the evidence available to them at the time, to ensure public safety.
"We will continue to work with them to review and improve operational performance and procedure where necessary."
Mr Johnson rejected Lord Carlile's suggestion that terror suspects should be allowed bail while further inquiries into their activities were carried out because of potential risks to public safety.
All but one of the men held were Pakistani nationals in the UK on student visas. One had joint UK and Pakistani citizenship.
Intelligence sources revealed some had taken photographs at destinations including a large shopping centre and a nightclub which were thought to be possible terror targets.
Greater Manchester Police said the case was still "live".
