No evidence has appeared with respect to any of the alleged bombers being in London on that day.
Since when do inquests take 5 years to occur?

This is the Eastenders of the 'war on terror'. It just goes on and on, with no end in sight.

---------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------

Opening the resumed inquests into the deaths five years ago of 52 people in London, Hugo Keith QC, said the attacks were “acts of merciless savagery which could only outline the sheer inhumanity of the perpetrators.”

He said the killings were “self-evidently an act of murder” given the act of detonating bombs in a public place.

But the inquests will look at the circumstances in which the victims died and whether more could have been saved.

They will also consider, next year, whether the security services could have prevented the attacks.

The inquests began with the names of the victims being read out, followed by a two-minute silence.

Mr Keith said Mohammed Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer, Hasib Hussain and Jermaine Lindsay detonated their bombs amongst the “innocent and the unknowing, indiscriminately killing and maiming passengers who were simply going about their daily business.”

"The bombs struck down men and women, the old and young, British nationals as well as foreigners,” he added.

"They had no regard to whether the victim was Christian, Muslim, a follower of any of our other great faiths, an adherent to none.

"They were just travelling on the London transport system. It is the saddest of duties to open their inquests."

Previous inquiries had not focused on the individual victims, he said and had not allowed lawyers the opportunity to ask questions.

"Although it is likely that the plotters attacked one of London's most recognisable structures, its transport network, in order to spread the effect of their deeds as widely as possible, it is vital that we remember that this was an attack on individual people and that these proceedings are concerned with each unique victim," Mr Keith said.

The inquiry is designed to answer some of their questions, he said, and to lay to rest conspiracy theories.

But he added: “We cannot presume these proceedings will in any way lessen the grief and pain of the victims’ families.”

He said many rescuers had descended into the tunnels of the London Underground “in some cases without regard for their own personal safety” where they had been greeted by “hellish scenes.”

“Those that responded should not be criticised for decisions they made in circumstances of fear, danger and the presence of death and a very fast moving situation,” he added. “Those that assisted were met by scenes of unimaginable horror.”

Mr Keith said that following the appearance of Sidique Khan and Tanweer in a separate surveillance operation 17 months earlier, MI5 had been unable to identify 150, of whom 15 were classified as “essential” to follow up and 40, including the two bombers, as “desirable.”

Their links to the other group were “undoubtedly significant” Mr Keith said and a number of “judgment calls” had to be made by MI5.

But he added: “No one is suggesting they acted in anything other than good faith.”

He said that on the material so far disclosed by the Security Service, it could not be said that further surveillance or arrests would have prevented the attacks of July 7.

“We must all attempt to avoid the ease of judgment with hindsight,” he added.

Lady Justice Hallett, the coroner at the inquests into the 7/7 deaths, was empanelled last November as assistant deputy coroner for the inner west London district, specifically to preside over the hearings which are expected to last into next spring.

In this she follows a number of other high court judges who have been assigned to particularly contentious inquests, notably Lord Justice Scott Baker who conducted the Princess Diana inquest three years ago.

Hallett, 60, and married to a judge, was the fifth woman elected to the court of appeal and the first to chair the Bar Council.

Educated at Brockenhurst Grammar school in the New Forest and at St Hugh's College, Oxford, she was called to the bar in 1972 and became a recorder and Queen's counsel in 1989.

She was made a high court judge in 1999 and has served on the court of appeal since 2005.

Her husband, Nigel Wilkinson, is a recorder and deputy high court judge. The couple live in south-west London and have two sons.

Texting peer freed after appeal

Lord Ahmed
Lord Ahmed suffered facial injuries in the collision

A peer who was jailed last month for 12 weeks for sending and receiving text messages while driving on the M1 has been released by the Court of Appeal.

Lord Ahmed, 51, had been involved in a fatal crash minutes after sending the messages on Christmas Day 2007.

He hit a stationary car in the outside lane of the M1, killing Martyn Gombar, 28, from Leigh, Greater Manchester.

The Appeal Court suspended his sentence because of "exceptional" mitigation relating to his community work.

Lord Ahmed served 16 days of his sentence. Road safety charity Brake said it was "appalled" by the decision.

The peer had been jailed at Sheffield Crown Court after admitting dangerous driving.

Lord Ahmed was freed from Doncaster Prison on Thursday following the completion of formalities in the wake of the ruling.

To take your hands off the wheel to send a text is outrageous and completely unacceptable
Road safety charity Brake

Lord Ahmed was a Labour life peer until his conviction last month, when he was told he faced expulsion from the party.

The crash happened near junction 35 of the southbound carriageway, at Rotherham.

The peer sent and received a series of five text messages while driving in the dark along a 17-mile stretch of the motorway.

He was not present for the ruling by three judges in London. He had been due to be released on 20 March.

Allowing Lord Ahmed's sentence appeal, Lady Justice Hallett said that in the court's view, the sentencing judge had had "no option but to impose a custodial sentence".

Lord Ahmed's use of the mobile phone, in the dark on a motorway, had "put people's lives at risk and for no good reason".

Sentence suspended

But because of the "exceptional" personal mitigation in his case, Lady Justice Hallett said the court was able to take the step of suspending the sentence for 12 months.

Lord Ahmed's barrister, Jeremy Baker QC, had argued the jail sentence could "irreparably and permanently" damage Lord Ahmed's ability to carry out community work in the future.

Before the collision with Lord Ahmed, Mr Gombar, who was Slovakian, had crashed into the central reservation, leaving his Audi facing the wrong way in the third lane of the motorway.

Lady Justice Hallett said there was "little or nothing" Lord Ahmed could have done to avoid the collision.

She said he had never been accused of, or admitted, causing death by dangerous driving.

The road safety charity Brake said it was "appalled" at the decision to free Lord Ahmed.

A spokesman said: "Driving is one of the most dangerous things that most of us do on a daily basis. It requires complete concentration and both hands on the wheel.

"To take your hands off the wheel to send a text is outrageous and completely unacceptable."

I guess these people are just people and don't relise they are peddling Nazi lies to frame Muslims like Himmler and Goebbels' old lot framed the Jews in the 1930s.
But that is no excuse.
Oh for the day I hear just ONE reporter call them what they are which is alleged bombers.
This is designed to induce psychosis in anyone with independent thought.
Like every person in the country being forced to sign a confession they know is a lie. It has a deep psychological effect on the nation, the NATO zone populus, as a whole.
What exactly are they softening up the herd for these sickos?

TWO of the July 7 bombers were known to have "significant links" to Islamic terror groups but were never detained by police, the first day of the inquiry into the London attacks has heard.

Anti-terror drill revealed soft targets in London

A massive anti-terror exercise carried out last April to find out how safe London's transport systems were from attack raised concern over the vulnerability of passengers, The Observer can reveal.

Washington sources have revealed that the biggest transatlantic counter-terrorism exercise since 9/11 - which included 'bombs' being placed on buses and explosives left on the London underground - raised fears over the vulnerability of 'soft targets' in the capital.

Not to mention Panorama May 2004.

The lies just go on and on and on and few seem to notice or even care.

Nope - it's the way 'we' have made it, bound as 'we' are by millennia of false perception and false 'education'.

Simple, very effective spiritual destruction. It's up to the individual now - no amount of movements, religious or otherwise, can do anything but become pawns to my sig line...

For instance, have you noticed any rapid reduction in people using oil-based transport since the damage to the Gulf Stream? No, me neither.

Sleepwalking over the cliff, drugged by the results of Bernay's findings... what a sad lot we are; the higher the sadder, IMO...

J7 Submissions to the 7 July Inquests

Quote:
Lady Justice Hallett: ....I don't know if there are any unrepresented families, bereaved families, present who wish to say anything, wish to make any comments. I don't know whether there are any survivors present who wish to say anything, because I wish to emphasise, as I hoped I had in my ruling, that in ruling that there shouldn't be interested persons, I did not intend in any way to exclude them, and if they have any lines of enquiry or any questions they wish to propose, then they are always free to send their comments to Mr Smith and, indeed, if anybody is here today who wishes to say anything, I'll hear them now.

Source: Inquest Hearing Transcripts, 23 June 2010
Morning session, p80, lines 13-24
http://7julyinquests.independent.gov.uk/hearing_transcripts/230610am.h tm

Further to the statement by Lady Justice Hallett in the morning session of 23 June 2010, J7 decided to seize the opportunity presented by Lady Justice Hallett's generous offer to accept submissions suggesting lines of inquiry to the 7 July Inquest process. The J7 submissions were sent to Martin Smith, the Solicitor to the Inquests on 23 July 2010, and subsequently to the Counsels for the bereaved and survivors. Our submissions detail suggested lines of inquiry and questions which we believe should be proposed and considered by the Coroner in the process of the Inquests into The London Bombings of 7 July 2005.

The submissions have been prepared by members of J7's research community and attempt to summarise and highlight the major inconsistencies, anomalies and unanswered questions that still exist with regard to the events of 7 July 2005.

J7 has always been concerned that a fully independent public inquiry, particularly one held outside of the constraints of the Inquiries Act 2005, was refused twice by the government. Instead of an inquiry, the bereaved, injured and general public were offered a threadbare, anonymously authored, and anomalous narrative. This is despite Tony Blair claiming that, "We will bring together all the evidence that we have and we will publish it so that people, the victims and others, can see exactly what happened". [1] Five years on, all the information has not been brought together and published, and we, the people, do not know what precisely happened.

Over 3,200 people have signed our online petition [2] calling on the government to release the evidence they claim to have in support of the official narrative. The government however has consistently failed to release much by way of evidence relating to 7 July 2005, with notable exceptions being when it was politically expedient to do so; two separate attempts to secure convictions against three acquaintances of the four 7/7 accused typify these cynical machinations. [3]

Our tireless campaigning and research over the last five years, much of which has involved doggedly pursuing responses to Freedom of Information requests, has led to the accumulation of a vast body of knowledge regarding the events of 7th July 2005, contained on our People's Investigation Forum. [4]

J7's submissions were submitted to the Inquest in the hope that avenues of inquiry and investigation will be highlighted for the Inquests to explore further and, ultimately, that the truth about the events of 7 July 2005 can be known.

Shocking 7/7 video released

The Sun, 12 October 2010

SHOCKING video footage of the carnage caused by the July 7 suicide bombers was played at the inquest into the deaths of the 52 victims today.

The eerie images were taken in the aftermath of the disaster and show the mangled wreckage of Tube trains, scattered personal belongings discarded by panic-stricken passengers and a chaotic jumble of used medical equipment.

http://publish.vx.roo.com/thesun/articlesun/article_2009/flashembed/

A heavily edited version of the footage was released by the coroner.

Earlier the inquest heard that it took the emergency services, who were battling to save lives, up to 15 minutes to send messages back to their control rooms due to massive communication problems.

Because their radios did not work underground, paramedics, firefighters and police had to send runners from the stricken Tube trains back to the surface to pass on requests for more help.

In the case of the deep London Underground station at Russell Square, which is linked to ground level by a long spiral staircase, this could take a quarter of an hour, the hearing was told.

Hugo Keith QC, counsel to the inquests, also highlighted the lack of a system for the drivers of the devastated Tube trains to communicate with their passengers.

Timothy Batkin, the driver of the train destroyed in the Aldgate bombing, said he could hear people screaming behind him "help us, help" but was unable to respond.

The scene that greeted emergency workers when they arrived at the stricken Aldgate train was like a battlefield, the coroner heard.

Maimed bodies with severed limbs lay scattered throughout the carriage as paramedics attempted to distinguish between the dead and the dying.

As medical teams tried to work in the darkness, other surviving passengers sought to comfort those who had borne the brunt of the blast and were unable to help themselves.

Mr Keith said rescue workers were confronted by a "horrifying scene of mangled flesh, torn bodies, debris and metal".

Lee Baisden, 34, an accountant for the London Fire Brigade, from Romford, Essex, was one of seven passengers to die in the blast that morning.

Records suggest he was standing very close to the bomb on the Circle Line train, Mr Keith said.

He added: "The bomb blew a hole in the carriage floor and Mr Baisden's body was seen by a number of witnesses to be near the crater that it left."

Detailing people's response to the hellish scene, he said one survivor used her corduroy jacket to make a tourniquet for a man who lost both his legs in the blast, while tying her belt around the legs of another man.

He said: "She held their hands and she gave them water and comforted them."

Four suicide bombers launched coordinated attacks on three Tube trains and a bus in London on July 7, 2005, killing 52 people and leaving more than 700 injured.

The inquest into the deaths, which opened yesterday, heard that emergency service control rooms were confused about what had happened and where to send help after the initial blasts on the Underground at 8.50am.

Emergency responders were sent to the wrong places, with the first ambulance not arriving at Aldgate until 9.14am because it was initially dispatched to Liverpool Street.

The first fire engine only reached the Edgware Road bombing at 9.18am and the control rooms were not told that Russell Square Tube station had been targeted until 9.13am.

Mr Keith said: "The emergency services encountered considerable difficulties in communicating with each other."

He went on: "The central issue, of course, is whether it would have made a difference if those few minutes that I have identified had not been lost."

So former Israeli Defence Force Engineer Daniel Bodner who was creeping early that morning around the tube tunnels hasn't been in the dock yet then?
Maybe he's fled Britain with millions of dollars, escaping arrest, like his boss Kobi Alexander did?

Share 7/7 Inquest: Causing More Questions Than Answers
Keelan Balderson
Wide Shut.co.uk
Oct 12, 2010

The 7/7 inquest kicked off yesterday, as simultaneously this site was mysteriously taken offline while it held the top search position for the term “77 Inquest”, blocking hundreds of people from an alternative view on the proceedings.

Nonetheless today as we rank lower, and the second day of the inquest in to the deaths of 52 people killed in the July 7 attacks recommences, it has become clear that there is no intention to re-investigate the attacks with a critical eye, and several more questions have now emerged that shed doubt on the official story.

A point made in the new 7/7 The Big Picture documentary, is that the official narrative released by the Government states that alleged bomber Jermaine Lindsay’s car was towed away from Luton Station because it didn’t have a pay & display ticket:
“The Brava, which had been towed away because it did not have a parking ticket is later traced to Lindsay.”

It seems more has been added to this story during the inquest. It was reported by the Telegraph that:
“Lindsay received a parking ticket as he slept in his car while he waited at Luton station for the other three conspirators. The attendant feared being attacked.”

Note: this is a parking ticket fine because he didn’t have a pay & display parking ticket.

The question we should be asking here is why did the attendant fear of being attacked? Did he see any bombs or the handgun? If so he obviously should have reported the incident. Or was Lindsay getting irate because he was getting a parking ticket…while he was asleep? Which would seem a little odd if he was about to go kill himself anyway; in the same way it was odd that Tanweer would argue at the petrol station early that morning for being short changed.

What really needs to be clarified is the story that was widely reported in the media after the initial investigation, which was in complete contradiction to the official government narrative. As stated in the Times:
“Lindsay bought a pay and display ticket, and dutifully stuck it on the windshield. The DNA he left on that scrap of paper would later be used to identify what remained of his body.”

The Government have never been forthcoming about the DNA evidence in their official statements. The official narrative doesn’t make clear how or where it was obtained or cross referenced.

What the official narrative does state is that he didn’t buy a ticket, so his car was towed away. So media reports that investigators used this non-existent ticket to obtain his DNA, as proof that he was the bomber, is either invalid, or the official narrative itself is invalid.

As of yesterday we can now speculate that his DNA was retrieved from the parking fine ticket given to him when he was “sleeping” in his car; but something as important as DNA evidence shouldn’t be left as speculation. The whole point of the inquest is to answer questions not create more!

And of course this doesn’t answer why his car was towed away, because it is official Luton station policy to clamp unpaid parked cars, not to tow them away.
http://www.julyseventh.co.uk/images/luton-parking-regs.jpg

It seems we’re going around in circles.

This inquest is not about truth. They’ve already made up their mind that the four alleged bombers are guilty (which of course they could be, but has yet to be proven). Instead we’re getting a mish-mash of information, some about the inadequacies of the emergency response effort, and some about the inadequacies of the security services.

It would be in the publics best interest to learn that the intelligence agencies weren’t just incompetent that day, but directly linked to the alleged bombers themselves, through a series of intelligence informants and surveillance operations.

It was revealed in the Fertilizer Bomb Plot court testimony that alleged bomber Mohammad Sidique Khan was instructed to go to a terror training camp by Mohammed Q, who funded the plot’s ring leader Omar Khyam. As reported by the Telegraph:
Khan and Khyam both attended a terror training camp together in Pakistan two years before the 7/7 attacks on London’s transport system, which killed 56 people, including the four terrorists. Their contact was a man called Mohammed Quayam Khan, known as Q, who was under surveillance by MI5 for allegedly providing funds, equipment and recruits to al-Qa’eda. Khan had been in mobile phone contact with Q.

Strangely Q was allowed to walk away a free man from the Fertilizer trial while the foot soldiers went down. Also linked to the plot was FBI asset Junaid Babar, but he was given immunity to testify against the other plotters. It came out that he ran the camp that alleged bomber Khan had attended. As reported by the Times:
“Babar organised a Taleban terror training camp in the mountains of northern Pakistan, attended not only by himself and his friends, but Mohammad Sidique Khan, the future London 7/7 Tube-bombing mastermind.”

The BBC later reported that “Inevitably there were suspicions that he’d been an FBI agent all along.”

Upon their return prior to the London Bombings the widely reported mastermind of the attacks Haroon Rashid Aswat (who was allowed in to the country despite being on a terror watch-list) had telephone conversations with the men days before the attacks. He then disappeared. It was later revealed by former federal prosecutor John Loftus that Aswat was strongly suspected of being an MI6 double agent.

So a suspected asset Q, instructs the alleged ringleader of 7/7 to attend a terror training camp ran by an FBI asset Junaid Babar, and upon their return an MI6 asset instructs the bombers further before the attacks?

It’s highly unlikely that any of this information will be brought forward during the inquest.

It’s also unlikely that they’ll discuss evidence of high grade, possibly military explosives being used (not homemade), the exercise being run by Peter Power which envisaged almost the exact same scenario as the real attacks, inconsistent CCTV evidence, the bizarre nature of finding ID at all of the blast sites (Khan’s at 3 of them), the numerous prior warnings about attacks from the US, Pakistan, France, Spain and Saudi Arabia; or the long standing policy called the “Covenant of Security”, where Britain knowingly harbored radicals and terrorists, and used them for conflicts in the Balkans during the 90s.

One thing that has been promised is new video and photo evidence of the blasts sites. This will hopefully prove either way whether bombs were placed under the carriages or were simply in rucksacks. However what we really need is CCTV evidence of the alleged bombers boarding their supposed targets. None has ever been released, giving rise to speculation that they weren’t even on the respective carriages and bus.

None of the points made in this post are made lightly or without evidence. Please take the time to carefully watch the new 7/7 The Big Picture documentary, and compile your own research. Because despite this inquest it seems we’ll still have to come to our own informed conclusions about what happened that day, because the Government are not prepared to investigate it thoroughly.

7/7 survivor Jacqui Putnam asks the key question (from evidence in the public domain) in her article in the Guardian. At the very least a criminal case can be attempted against MI5 for a LIHOP conspiracy to cause 7/7?

"There have been no satisfactory answers as to why Sidique Khan and Shehzad Tanweer were known to the secret services, known to have attended a meeting with a detonator specialist together with the "fertiliser" bombers, were tailed back to their homes and yet were apparently dismissed as of no importance. There has been no explanation as to why Charles Clarke, home secretary at the time, described the 7/7 bombers as "clean skins", meaning they were not known to any surveillance organisation."

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2010/oct/12/7-7-inquest-london

There are always people on the underground who behave oddly. This time it was a young lad holding a large bag. I remember his eyes: large, brown, intense. He seemed on edge and made me uneasy, so I walked on down the platform. I never discovered the young man's name but, because he made me uncomfortable, I didn't die that morning. I'm happy to tell you that neither did he.

I think about him a great deal. I've thanked him in my heart, every single day since that terrible morning in July 2005 when the bombs exploded in London. I was on the Edgware Road train, in the first carriage. Mohammad Sidique Khan was in the second, carrying about 10kg of explosives in a rucksack. He looked like an ordinary traveller.

Thanks to the young man I think of daily, my physical scars have healed. I was lucky, my injuries were slight: I suffered a broken tooth, concussion, tiny shards of glass embedded in my scalp. I breathed in a hundred years of rat-infested dirt that had been blasted from the tunnel walls. I was trapped for a while and saw horrors that still leave me rigid with fear some sleepless nights. This is how it is for me, five years on. As I say, I was lucky.

In the years since the bombings, two prime ministers and a succession of home secretaries have refused us – a representative group of bereaved and survivors alike – an independent inquiry. There have been no satisfactory answers as to why Sidique Khan and Shehzad Tanweer were known to the secret services, known to have attended a meeting with a detonator specialist together with the "fertiliser" bombers, were tailed back to their homes and yet were apparently dismissed as of no importance. There has been no explanation as to why Charles Clarke, home secretary at the time, described the 7/7 bombers as "clean skins", meaning they were not known to any surveillance organisation.

And now we have the inquests, after five long years during which children have grown into young adults not knowing how their loved ones died – or, worse, believing they died instantly and only now finding out that they lived for many minutes and were able to converse with rescuers. For them, this is truly unbearable. For those of us who have campaigned for so long for answers, we're encouraged by Lady Justice Hallett's decision to allow the inquest to cover events leading up to the bombings, going as far back as 2004.

But this should not be a time for survivors to be hanging over the shoulders of the bereaved, hoping for the answers that have so long been refused us. We'll hang back and give our silent support and, as always, stand as witnesses when called on, even though our own questions remain unanswered. I hope that, somehow, the lessons of 7/7 will have been, if not learned, at least paid attention to, so that when something like it happens again, it will not be because we've made the same mistakes.

How fake terrorism works...in practice.
Lets not forget about the wife of one of the alleged bombers from Leeds who decalred in an edition of the SUN, Prove It with respect to her husband and then she was held by the security services and ...changed her story...

THE Tube driver accused of plotting holy war in Afghanistan was framed by the British security services after he refused to become a mole for MI5, a court heard.

Bakerloo line driver Amir Ali, 28, allegedly bought survival equipment, booked a flight to Pakistan and begged his wife's forgiveness in a farewell letter.

Police are said to have found photos at Ali's Ilford home of him brandishing AK47 assault rifles. But his barrister told Snaresbrook crown court that MI5 sought to frame Ali when he refused to act as their spy.

"The security services embarked on a strategy to tear the whole of Mr Ali's life apart," said Lawrence McNulty. "Despite all that Mr Ali would not change his mind. We suggest that these court proceedings are the final part in the strategy."

Father-of-two Ali said he was approached by the security services at Heathrow in June 2007 shortly before boarding a flight to Pakistan.

The officers confiscated £6,500 that Ali said he was given by his father for the trip and to pay for renovation work to a house in Karachi.

"They said they were going to stop me from going to Pakistan," said Ali. "They said: 'This doesn't have to happen if you work for us'. They wanted me to keep an eye on Muslims in my community and my mosque."

Ali denies preparation for acts o

On the same day the 7/7 roadshow has been going on we have this in a paper. This whole system of frame-ups, torture, non-jury led courts has been going on in Ireland 4 centuries now....

Hundreds of Northern Ireland 'terrorists' allege police torture

People convicted during the Troubles claim they suffered miscarriages of justice in non-jury Diplock courts

* Ian Cobain
* guardian.co.uk, Monday 11 October 2010 11.55 BST
* Article history

Guardian investigation: An RUC interrogator and victims of alleged brutality speak to Ian Cobain. Link to this video

Hundreds of men and women found guilty of terrorism offences in Northern Ireland during the Troubles are attempting to have their cases reopened, alleging that the confessions that led to their convictions were beaten out of them by police.

The Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC), the body that investigates alleged miscarriages, has received applications from more than 200 people who argue that they fell victim to miscarriages of justice at the province's non-jury courts.

So far the court of appeal in Belfast has heard 26 cases referred by the commission, and has overturned convictions in 24 of those. Solicitors in Belfast and Derry say they believe many more people will be applying to the commission in the near future.

As the appeals mount, a number of men who served as detectives with the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) have told the Guardian how senior officers encouraged the systematic mistreatment of suspects at Castlereagh interrogation centre in east Belfast, and elsewhere, after the establishment of the Diplock courts in 1973.

They say they took full advantage of the vague wording of emergency legislation in Northern Ireland which allowed the courts to admit confessions as evidence, providing there was no evidence they had been obtained through the use of torture, or inhuman or degrading treatment. One retired detective commented: "Do repeated slaps around the face amount to torture? What about an occasional kick in the balls?"

In a sign that the courts are now accepting that such tactics were an integral part of policing during the Troubles, a number of people who pleaded guilty on legal advice after signing so-called confessions have succeeded in having their convictions overturned.

In addition to the 26 cases heard by the court of appeal, a further seven cases are waiting to be heard, and 80-odd are still being considered by the CCRC. These include 47 people who were juveniles at the time of their conviction.

A number of those whose convictions have been overturned have been able to establish that there were grounds to suspect that the police officers who they alleged were responsible for their own mistreatment had beaten other suspected paramilitaries.

Two men from Belfast, who were arrested in 1976 as boys aged 14 and 16, served nine years in jail after being advised to plead guilty to the murder of a Catholic accountant who was shot dead in his bed. They were able to show that their confessions did not fit with the crime scene, or the pathologist's report on the victim's injuries, or with statements by witnesses who heard the shots.

Another man, from Derry, confessed to a series of terrorism offences after being arrested in 1978 at the age of 16 for questioning about the murder of an RUC officer, and says he was then instructed by his lawyer to plead guilty. He has been able to show that the court ignored alibi evidence that proved he was 75 miles away inside a secure children's home at the time that most of the crimes were committed. He had also confessed to an attempted hijacking which, a subsequent police reported showed, had never taken place.

At this man's appeal, the court heard that after he had been sentenced to a period of borstal training his lawyer advised him against lodging an appeal on the grounds that he had received a "good result".

Among those whose cases have been referred to the appeal court by the CCRC is a man from west Belfast who says he was forced to sign a false confession to murder after being waterboarded by soldiers from the Parachute Regiment. The commission says it has taken up the case because of doubts about "the admissibility and reliability" of the man's confession, and says it believes "there is a real possibility" his conviction will be quashed. Some of the new evidence unearthed by the CCRC is being withheld from the man and his lawyers, however, at the insistence of the Ministry of Defence.

Almost all the men and women who are appealing were convicted by the controversial no-jury Diplock courts that heard terrorism cases in Northern Ireland between 1973 and 2007. Established after a number of jury members were intimidated and potential witnesses murdered, they could convict on the basis of a confession alone, and defendants were expected to prove any claim that a confession had been coerced.

During the course of the Troubles several police doctors came forward to complain that terrorism suspects were being beaten during interrogation, and that the courts were dismissing their expert evidence.

Eamonn McDermott, who served 16 years in jail after confessing to the murder of a Catholic RUC detective in Derry in 1977 – and whose conviction was overturned 30 years later – said: "What I find interesting is that the first time the Diplock system is scrutinised by any sort of outside agency, it starts crumbling. I think there was quite a lot of surprise at the CCRC at what was acceptable at the time."

Few people from Northern Ireland approached the CCRC during the early years of its existence, with the result that it staged a conference in the province in 2004 aimed at raising awareness and promoting public confidence in its work. A small trickle of applications followed, but that has recently swollen.

Some of those whose convictions have already been quashed have received substantial sums in compensation. Others, however, have not, with the Northern Ireland Office arguing that there is no obligation for them to be compensated. A number are challenging this refusal through the courts.

In arguably the nation's most widely read newspaper, this article was front page of the Metro yesterday...

http://www.metro.co.uk/news/843688-july-7-bombers-wanted-to-hit-capita l-on-day-olympics-games-were-won

Quote:
July 7 bombers ‘wanted to hit capital on day Olympics games were won’
The July 7 bombers might have planned to act 24 hours earlier – the day London was awarded the 2012 Olympics, it emerged.

Towards the end of the article online we have this...

Quote:
Mr Keith, counsel for the inquest, said Khan, Tanweer, Jermaine Lindsay and Hasib Husain carried out acts of ‘merciless savagery’.

He also rejected conspiracy theories about the attacks, saying there was no evidence any of the bombers were duped nor that they were being monitored by the security services.

But of course we all remember...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1550197/MI5-trailed-77-bombers- for-a-year.html

MI5 facing criticism over surveillance of 7/7 bomber

Question

The argument of course comes from Them that Khan and Tanweer were on the periphery of an intelligence operation named Operation Crevice - the biggest counter-terrorism operation to have been mounted by the Security Service in the United Kingdom - which focussed on the unsuccesful "fertiliser bomb plot".

Crevice wound up in April 2004 after key terror-suspects were arrested and at that time MI5 were pleased that the operation was a success.

According to this article -

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article1726161.ece

Quote:
As Operation Crevice wound up in the spring of 2004, MI5 officers began sorting through the mass of evidence they had assembled to check for leads to other plots and terrorist activity.

It is routine practice at the end of all such investigations to go through material to ensure that no potential new lines of inquiry are overlooked.

From the huge volume of covert surveillance material gathered during the operation, the MI5 team picked out 55 individuals - mostly unidentified Pakistani men - whom they considered to be of further interest.

Of those, 15 were graded as “essential” - because they had been overheard discussing terrorist activity with Khyam or his associates - and were subjected to further electronic surveillance.

Among the remaining 40 were two men, as yet unidentified - whose names were to become notorious - Mohammed Sidique Khan, the ringleader of the July 7 bombers, and his right-hand-man Shezhad Tanweer.

Khan was recorded meeting Khyam four times in the final stages of Operation Crevice. On one occasion, he even asked Khyam: “Are you a terrorist?”

Tanweer also met Khyam around this time.

Security sources are adamant that all 55 leads identified by the Crevice team were followed up - although they would not discuss how this was done in the cases of Khan and Tanweer.

But they confirmed that routine practice would be to involve local police - in this case, the West Yorkshire force.

What is clear is that, prior to the July 7 attacks, neither Khan nor Tanweer were identified as the men who spoke to Khyam.

Security sources strongly deny that this represents an intelligence failure.

They insist that, given the information they had at the time, they could not have justified diverting more resources to investigating them.

They point out that, despite Khan’s question, neither man had been overheard discussing actual terrorist activity in the UK with Khyam, who was also involved in various low-level criminal scams.

“There is a threshold (for investigation) and Khan and Tanweer only spoke to Omar Khyam about fraud and petty financial crime,” one source said.

In essence, there was no reason to really suspect Khan and Tanweer of any further terrorist activity according to those who had them under surveillance.

These two men were "nameless" at that point, gave MI5 no reason for suspicion because they had "only talked to main Omar Khyam about petty fraud and financial crimes" in the spring of 2004.

However, if this is true then how did the Government get it so right according to the Panorama show of May 2004?

We all remember that this show featured mock terror drills of 3 bombs on the underground and one on a road vehicle. "This is the kind of attack the government repeatedly says "is going to happen" claims the BBC's Gavin Essler at the beginning of this show.

If Khan and Tanweer were "unidentified" & posed no real threat of actual terrorism as far as MI5 (who were surveilling and investigating them both during the first half of 2004 leading up to Op. Crevice & in the months thereafter) were concerned, then how were the government able to foretell and detail almost exactly a terror event which would be carried out by the same two men just over a year later?

Also, how were they able to get it so right regarding Atlantic Blue which was a drill of April 2005 which looked for "vulnerable targets" such as "bombs on buses and explosions on the underground"???

How were the government able to "repeatedly" make the claim in May 2004 that a terror attack exactly like 7/7 was going to happen when the two men who carried it out gave no real indication of their eventual exploits whilst being investigated at exactly the same time May 2004??

The question is, where did the Government get this intel from and who briefed them on it?

Official site of inquests.
Taking a look at the documentation to find out any new contradictions if they have released any new info that it, which is pretty doubtful for no videos of the day amazingly have been released.

One knows of course the reason. They dont exist.

Like the Pentagon plane which no one has ever seen, the London bombings have an absence of any 'terrorist' participants.

In one of the videos they put petrol just before they board the non-existent train to ...blow themselves up.

http://clients.mediaondemand.net/judiciary/7julyinquests/

So what happened? They drove all the way down from Leeds got to Luton and loaded up with petrol instead of just leaving the car anywhere as they weren't coming back?

Where have all the videos been in the last 5 years?

So why haven't they released a single video of the tube cameras on the day?

Is photoshop on a permanent French strike?

Although you do have a point here, filling the car up and buying return tickets etc could be explained quite easily and 'brushed off' as a precautionary measure.

They could (arguably) have foreseen potential problems, got cold feet etc and felt that the time wasn't right.

They would have needed to get home should any problems have arisen.

(It could also be argued that their handlers may have advised them to do all this in case they pulled the plug themselves.)

Not saying this is true here. Just saying that it's easily 'explained'.

I am still waiting for an 'easy explanation', but I dont hold my breath as 5 years have gone by and I dont believe any evidence that materialises by the establishment five years after the event...
