The Trilateral Commission was founded in July 1973 by International Banker David Rockefeller as a “non-governmental policy-oriented discussion group” of about 390 distinguished citizens from North America, the European Union and from the Pacific. Shortly after its formation however, it began to dictate along with the Council on Foreign Relations, both the U.S. Government’s Domestic and Foreign Policies.

Their main objective is the formation of a One-World Totalitarian Socialist Government with World Bank and Army – a goal it shares with its sister-organisation the infamous Bilderberg Group, of which many Trilateralists are also members. The Bilderberg Group was formed in 1954 by ex-Nazi SS Officer Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands to continue Hitler’s plan for a Totalitarian Socialist “New World Order”. Whereas the Bilderberg Group focuses mainly on countries surrounding the Atlantic Sea, the Trilateral Commission focuses on countries around the Pacific, hence its high number of Asian representatives.

In his address to the June 1991 Trilateral Commission, Rockefeller admitted:

"We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the work is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries."

Furthermore, on page 405 of his autobiography “Memoirs” (2002), David Rockefeller also admits: “Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as "internationalists" and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

“It puts emphasis on interdependence, which is a nice euphemism for one-world government.
- Mike Thompson, Chairman of the Florida Conservative Union

"In my view, the Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power: political, monetary, intellectual, and ecclesiastical... What the Trilateralists truly intend is the creation of a worldwide economic power superior to the political governments of the nation-states involved. They believe the abundant materialism they propose to create will overwhelm existing differences. As managers and creators of the system they will rule the future." - Senator Barry Goldwater in his book “With No Apologies”

In his 2008 book "Making Government Work," former South Carolina Senator Ernest Hollings cited the Trilateral Commission as a negative influence on President Carter in his pro free trade and U.S. textile policies.
