X Factor judge Simon Cowell plans to take the ITV talent show format to Las Vegas as part of a global internet venture, he has told GQ magazine.

The 50-year-old is teaming up with retail tycoon Sir Philip Green - who he says has "show business in his blood" - for the project.

Cowell said the pair planned to stage two shows a week which fans could watch online on a pay-per-view basis.

The pair are currently in talks with a major venue in Las Vegas.

The giddy masses will gladly accept a global government after a few series of a global version of the professional kareoke comp.

Cowell is the worst kind of salesman. "Slitting the cultural throat of the world and feasting on its still warm blood"...someone once said.

American idol contestant handcuffed


Cowell at it again? Staged PR Stunt or genuine?

They were shocked to see that the furious contestant wouldn't accept their criticism at all after his painful rendition of "Amazing Grace".

He was so insistent that it led to an altercation and he had to be cuffed and dragged out of the room.

Why did he refuse the judges' decision so categorically? We're not quite sure… One thing we're pretty much certain about, however, is that Jarrod will probably not be America's next big pop sensation…
