In April 1999 Grant Wakefield and Miriam Ryle travelled to Iraq intending to update Ryle's 1994 documentary 'Voices From Iraq'. They shot footage of the life in and around Baghdad, and filmed several interviews (including one with the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator for Iraq, Hans Von Sponeck). On their return they offered the unedited footage to BBC and Channel 4. It was refused. Upon this, Grant Wakefield searched for another way to share the collected material with the public and decided to make an audio CD. The documentary tells the story of Iraq, and its appointed role in the geopolitics of the West, from the colonial times at the beginning of the 20th century, till the period of the embargo at the end of the nineties. The documentary consists of three parts: part one 'Plans'; part two 'The Fire Comes'; and part three 'One Nation Under A Seige'.

They have had trouble with website posting granted but maybe people here don't want to host such contraversial viewpoints? _________________ 'Come and see the violence inherent in the system.

I'm feeling people here seem to have consigned this to memory in a justified done deal fashion
These people never stood a chance
Bill Hicks dispels the Myth of Gulf War 1. Who writes the History?
Its been over 5 years since I released anything so I think its well overdue...What You Think?
This Project Im giving away is not just a MIX CD.
Its actually the follow up to my debut album, 'Gaberlunzie'. It was actually recorded at the same time as the first album but for some reason I havn't felt the need to release it until now.
I only released limited copies of 'Gaberlunzie' but still I know it travelled.
This time I want it to travel freely.
No restriction
No Cost
I only ask that people listen in return.

I'm not a great fan of white rap (prefer KRS!) but it's certainly an excellent way to get the message out.
You struck a chord, especially as I was once called a gaberlunzie by a custom's ossifer hellbent on taking my transport apart in Campbelltown. I particularly like your title track and the message in Interlude: The Digital Age.
Just off to sharpen my pencil... ;-)
Don't want to trump you but I think Muse, now on US tour, is riding the meme crest with 'Uprising':-
wherein:-
"They will stop degrading us"
"They will not control us"
"The fat cats need a heart attack - their time is coming to an end"
"We will be victorious"
I don't see any chance left now for Satyagraha - PTB have pushed too hard, too criminally... www.tpuc.org & www.fmotl.com are the last peaceful, lawful chance to blow holes right through them, IMO.
You listening, MIx, CIA, DHS, SDECE, etc ? You 'should'...
