The EA are getting tough on anglers. Wearing body armour, stab vests and with big nasty dogs these EA Licence Enforcement Officers are trying to screw every last penny out of anglers. Listing offenders names and addresses on their website and fining them. Wanting other anglers to squeal on known licence dodgers. Now they want to get sea anglers to have a licence. Seems to me to be getting out of hand especially now they are fining people who arent caught actually fishing but thinking about it
Quote: | David Brown, age 31 years, of Eaton Avenue, Litherland, Liverpool, was fined £175 and ordered to pay £127 in costs and a victim surcharge of £15. He was convicted of intending to fish without a valid rod licence at Cudmore Fisheries, Whitmore, on 31 January 2010. The case was proved in his absence |

As i dont have a TV licence (dont watch TV) perhaps I could now be fined for "intending to watch TV" especially if I have just bought a bag of popcorn and am settling down to watch a DVD. _________________ JO911B.
