Iran arrests Britain-linked terrorists
Thu Nov 4, 2010
Four Britain-linked terrorists responsible for murdering 5 people in Iran have been arrested in the western city of Marivan, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry says.
The ministry said the captured terrorists have conceded to assassinating five Iranians for which they were supposed to receive $20,000 for each terrorist act but they were only paid $8000 in all.
Several weapons and documents have also been discovered from the terrorists, the ministry said, adding that a British-based terrorist named Jalil Fatahi has been leading the terror group from Soleimaniyeh in Iraq.
''Britain has not only carried out secret espionage activities in the country, but also funded and supported certain terrorist groups against the Islamic Republic," the Intelligence Ministry said.
The British government denied links to the self-confessed terrorists.
A Foreign Office spokesperson claimed: The UK does not support or encourage terrorist activity in Iran, or anywhere else in the world, and this claim will be seen as what it is: another in a long line of slurs against the United Kingdom from the Government of Iran."
This is while that, John Sawers, the head of Britain's spying apparatus, MI6, conceded last week that the UK government was carrying out espionage operations in Iran in its bid to disrupt the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.
" We need intelligence-led operations to make it more difficult for countries such as Iran to develop nuclear weapons," he said.
In addition to the MI6 confessions, Fatahi, a leading operative of Komole terrorist group, who is responsible for hundreds of terrorist operations in western Iran since 1979 is currently residing in the UK and leads its sabotage acts from there.

excerpt from: "Britain, den of anti-Iran groups"

Press TV, 6 November 2010

Quote:
The British government nervously reacts to a Press TV report in which its support to certain anti-Iran terrorist groups is documented.

The Press TV report had it that Iran's Intelligence Ministry has arrested four UK-linked terrorists in the western city of Marivan.

The ministry said the captured terrorists have confessed to assassinating five Iranians in the past two years and that they were supposed to receive $20,000 for each terrorist operation inside Iran but they were only paid $8000 in all.

The terrorists also conceded that they have received orders and weapons from their chief in the Iraqi city of Soleimaniyeh, according to the ministry.

The terrorist chieftain is named Jalil Fattahi, who is currently residing in Britain. Fattahi is also one of the commanders of the Komole terrorist group, which has carried out several assassinations in western Iranian cities since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

Kurdestan Komole Party was created in 1979 the same year that the Iranian nation managed to defeat corrupt monarchy of Mohamed Reza Pahlavi and establish the Islamic Republic of Iran.

After the Islamic Revolution, the party took arm against the Islamic Republic system and its members resorted to terror attacks thanks to financial support they received from the then Iraqi regime under the Ba'ath Party.

The Komole Party of Kurdestan was forcibly isolated and its senior members escaped the country after Iraqi regime of Saddam conceded defeat in the 8-year war it imposed on the Islamic Republic from 1981-1988.

The members of Komole Party as well as other anti-Iran parties including communists and the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) left for the US and Europe, particularly the United Kingdom where they received certain official support.

Although, the MKO was blacklisted by the US government as a terrorist group, its members enjoyed the freedom to live and work in the United States and in the European countries and pursue their anti-Iran agenda.

In 2009, even British lawmakers wrote to US President Barack Obama and urged him to follow the EU example and remove the anti-Iran terrorist group MKO from the US blacklist. The EU blacklisted the group, but then removed the cult from its list of terrorist organizations in January, 2009.

Kurdestan Komole Party enjoys the same status in Britain as the MKO and other anti-Iran groups.

Britain has a long history in conduction secret espionage activities in Iran. It has also sponsored certain terrorist groups in its bid to sabotage the country's progress and development.

UK complicity in Iran terrors 'undeniable'

Press TV, 30 November 2010

Iran says it does not rule out a possible connection between recent terrorist attacks in the country and the interfering comments made by the UK spy chief last month.

An Iranian university professor was murdered and another was injured Monday in two separate terror operations in Tehran.

Majid Shahriari, an Iranian nuclear scientist, was martyred while driving towards his workplace in northern part of the capital. Two unknown terrorists on a motorcycle approached his car and placed a bomb on one of the vehicle's doors. The terrorists detonated the bomb soon after they departed within meters of the car.

In a separate terror plot, Fereydoun Abbasi Davani, also a nuclear scientist working with Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) and his wife sustained injuries when the terrorists approached his car and threw the bomb while he was parking the vehicle in front of his department. Abbasi Davani and his wife managed to escape but the bomb exploded and inflicted some injuries on both of them.

Foreign ministry spokesman, Ramin Mehmanparast told reporters it is an undeniable fact unfortunately that certain western countries are supporting anti-Iran terrorist groups and facilitating their sabotage activities.

He was referring to recent threatening remarks made by head of Britain's foreign intelligence agency, MI6, John Sawers.
On October 28, the chief British spy had said that “diplomacy alone would not be enough to disrupt Iran's nuclear program”.

“Stopping nuclear proliferation cannot be addressed purely by conventional diplomacy. We need intelligence-led operations to make it more difficult for countries such as Iran to develop nuclear technology”, Sawers said.

Western authorities have always been reiterating a dual approach dubbed “carrot and stick” policy with Iran as far as it's nuclear activities are concerned.

It appears that they have already launched the so-called 'stick policy' using intelligence and security operations.

Professor Abbasi Davani had been named in the UN Security Council resolution 1747 as an Iranian nuclear scientist.

Presumably, the terrorists had already plotted to assassinate the scientist upon an order they received from their supporters, particularly, the UK government.
