From Cynthia McKinney (God bless 'er!):
Yesterday, I went to the home of a darker-skinned Libyan murdered by the Libyan NATO allies because of the color of his skin. I will write a full report of this shocking meeting.
Revelations of secret bombing in Yemen bring President Obama closer to Lyndon Baines Johnson and Richard Nixon and their secret bombings of Laos and Cambodia during the Vietnam War than is appropriate for any Nobel Peace Laureate. How many wars is this President going to start? As many as the American people will allow.
Der Spiegel reports that the Pentagon released the remaining papers of the Pentagon Papers while admitting that lies were told about the war. We know that. But here it is from them. The four volumes of the Gravel Papers can be accessed through Der Spiegel by clicking on the link below. How many more lies will the U.S. government tell the American people and the international community? As many as the American people will allow.
Are NATO's allies child soldiers? Isn't that against the law? So what else is new with this war? How long will war crimes and crimes against humanity be committed by NATO? As long as the American people allow these crimes to be committed.

Washington (CNN) -- The rebel government in control of the eastern part of Libya has made its first sale of oil from territory it controls, the State Department confirmed Wednesday.
Tesoro, a U.S. oil refiner, entered into a deal May 25 with the Transitional National Council based in Benghazi, Libya for 1.2 million barrels of Libyan crude oil, the State Department said in a written statement. The shipment was scheduled to arrive aboard the MT Equator, a Liberian-flagged tanker, at the Single Point Mooring in Hawaii on Wednesday. The dollar value of the deal is not known.
U.S. support for additional oil sales with the TNC will continue as a means to support additional revenue streams for the Libyan people, the statement said.
The sale was made possible following an April announcement by the Office of Foreign Assets Control at the Treasury Department that established a new licensing policy with Libya. That action was taken to ease barriers to certain oil related transactions with the TNC, in place because of wider U.S. sanctions on Libya.
The announcement came the same day Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in the United Arab Emirates for a meeting with the Libya Contact Group, a coalition of various countries and international organizations that seek to build support for the TNC while preparing for Libya's future after the presumed end of Moammar Gadhafi's regime. This is the third meeting of the group.
France, Italy and Qatar are among the small number of countries who have officially recognized the TNC as the legitimate government of Libya. While the United States has yet to take that step, President Barack Obama "has invited them to open an office in Washington," a senior administration official told reporters traveling with Clinton.
"We are still considering it but there's no final decision as of right now," the official said of U.S. efforts to offer formal recognition to the TNC.
Jeffrey Feltman, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, traveled to Benghazi last month for two days.

Food prices down from record high
Hedge funds are behind "land grabs" in Africa to boost their profits in the food and biofuel sectors, a US think-tank says.
In a report, the Oakland Institute said hedge funds and other foreign firms had acquired large swathes of African land, often without proper contracts.
It said the acquisitions had displaced millions of small farmers.
Foreign firms farm the land to consolidate their hold over global food markets, the report said.
They also use land to "make room" for export commodities such as biofuels and cut flowers.
"This is creating insecurity in the global food system that could be a much bigger threat than terrorism," the report said.
The Oakland Institute said it released its findings after studying land deals in Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Mali and Mozambique.
'Risky manoeuvre'
It said hedge funds and other speculators had, in 2009 alone, bought or leased nearly 60m hectares of land in Africa - an area the size of France.

When I visited Lungi-Lol in rural Sierra Leone I saw men hoeing thousands of hectares of farmland owned by Addax, a Swiss-based bio-energy company.
They are growing sugarcane to produce biofuels.
Campaigners say this contributes to food insecurity, but many people here welcome Addax's presence.
Francis Koroma, who works on the farm, says: "We thank God for Addax. I am gainfully employed and I receive about $70 (£46) a month. Before, I spent a whole year without getting $50."
Villagers are unaware of the controversy surrounding biofuels.
Abdulai Conteh , a local traditional leader, said: "Some people are doing business here but I have no idea what they are doing with our land. I see them growing sugarcane. That's all I know."
What is wrong with renting out African land?
"The same financial firms that drove us into a global recession by inflating the real estate bubble through risky financial manoeuvres are now doing the same with the world's food supply," the report said.
It added that some firms obtained land after deals with gullible traditional leaders or corrupt government officials.
"The research exposed investors who said it is easy to make a deal - that they could usually get what they wanted in exchange for giving a poor tribal chief a bottle of Johnnie Walker [whisky]," said Anuradha Mittal, executive director of the Oakland Institute.
"When these investors promise progress and jobs to local chiefs it sounds great, but they don't deliver."
The report said the contracts also gave investors a range of incentives, from unlimited water rights to tax waivers.
"No-one should believe that these investors are there to feed starving Africans.
"These deals only lead to dollars in the pockets of corrupt leaders and foreign investors," said Obang Metho of Solidarity Movement for New Ethiopia, a US-based campaign group.
However, not all companies named in the report accept that their motives are as suggested and they dismiss claims that their presence in Africa is harmful.
One company, EmVest Asset Management, strongly denied that it was involved in exploitative or illegal practices.
"There are no shady deals. We acquire all land in terms of legal tender," EmVest's Africa director Anthony Poorter told the BBC.
He said that in Mozambique the company's employees earned salaries 40% higher than the minimum wage.
The company was also involved in development projects such as the supply of clean water to rural communities.
"They are extremely happy with us," Mr Poorter said.

Children work with weapons to aid Libya's rebels

Libyan rebels say they can use all the help they can get
With schools closed by the fighting, young people have little to do
Misrata, Libya (CNN) -- The eyes of 15-year-old Nasser are fixed on a small metal part that belongs to a massive metal gun. He scrubs every tiny little crevice with a toothbrush until the bristles bend in awkward directions from the strain.
This is how he now spends his time six days a week for 10 hours a day in the open yard of a makeshift weapons workshop.
Nasser is one of Misrata's children. A boy who for more than 100 days suffered the frightening sounds of rockets falling from the sky and tanks blasting their way through the city as government forces battled to control the uprising against it from Misrata's citizens.
"It was really scary," he said. "People really suffered especially during the first days of the war. There was not really anything, we lacked everything."
GPS: Five reasons stalemate is devastating
Four months later school is still out but the fighting has been pushed to three fronts outside the city. There is little for children to do. Nasser has found something along with a few other boys and he dismisses those who say children shouldn't be working on machines of war.

"I'd tell them to get back to work and try to understand the situation we are living these days," the 15-year-old said and quietly went back to putting together the gun he had just finished cleaning.
The adult men working in the same area have nothing but good things to say about the effort the youth are making even the youngest among them.
"When I saw our young people my feeling is great," Ali Mohamed said. "Our children, they will be the future of our country and they should know how they defend our city."
Gadhafi loyalists launch fresh assault on Misrata
The reality is rebel fighters are short on gun power and need whatever help they can get in order to obtain more weapons. They say defending the city means using all kinds of makeshift weaponry on Misrata's three battlefronts. The heaviest and most powerful guns are usually attached to pick-up trucks.
The guns are often taken off tanks and re-purposed elsewhere. The tanks that are captured are usually burned or otherwise rendered useless but there are a few that have survived intact, and yet with all the shortages of weaponry not one is being used on Misrata's front lines.
NATO: Time to plan for post-Gadhafi Libya
"We cannot use the tanks because we received orders from NATO not use them so they put restrictions on how we can use them," rebel fighter Mohamed Wabash tells CNN.
There is frustration setting in as opposition fighters have also been told to hold their positions but in this spontaneous uprising, war has not been meticulously planned. Strategies are being hatched in real time as the fighting rages on.
Rebels make their first oil sale
But rebels on Misrata's western front made an unexpected move forward after they say Gadhafi forces tried to once again advance toward the city. Rebels fought back with all their make-shift weapons and managed to push Gadhafi forces three kilometers west inching them that much farther toward the rebels goal, the capital of Tripoli.

Once again, I apologise for putting complete email on post, but I don't have the link. I think ya'll forgive me, due to urgency and relevance of Cynthia's info:
I really appreciate your feedback, questions, comments, and additional information. I am in the process of doing so many things at the moment that I have not yet had an opportunity to write up the horrific details of the murder of the Libyan of darker skin. I will do so at my earliest opportunity. I have received questions about how this actually started and I have the information on that, too. I am down here with two attorneys in addition to the journalists so whatever I send out I want it to able to be tested in a court of law. NATO's serial allegations could not and would not stand up in a court of law. Therefore the psy-ops operation to win in the court of public opinion--as Frank Wisner coined it, "the Mighty Wurlitzer." While a wurlitzer is a brand of high quality musical instruments, usually referring to pianos and organs, the term "Mighty Wurlitzer" was coined by CIA agent Frank Wisner to describe the network of small organizations and magazines that the agency used to propagate its message during the Cold War: a mass of information and intelligence capable of playing the tunes the rest of the world would dance to. The world is being subjected to a massive "perception management" campaign, especially on Libya right now. Soon, the Wurlitzer will be focused and playing a tune for you to believe on Iran, Venezuela, and more. At the 1999 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. murder trial, Mr. William Schaap, attorney, military and intelligence specialization, co-publisher “Covert Action Quarterly” testified that approximately 30% of the CIA budget at that time was devoted to this "Wurlitzer." Imagine what it is today! And finally, please remember, it was Wisner's son whom President Obama sent in recently to manage events in Egypt! If you believe anything at all from these guys, then you are truly being played!
With that having been said, let me quickly respond to the rape issue and later I will send out something more comprehensive and at the standard that I have indicated above. Here's what Amnesty International has said as reported on 9 July 2011 in the New York Times: "Amnesty International said in a statement on Thursday that the group’s researchers, working in eastern Libya, Misurata and in refugee camps along the Tunisian border, 'have not to date turned up significant hard evidence to support this allegation' of systematic rape."
Here's what I sent to one person, but because I've received more inquiries, I'll share this with you all and then get back to you on the other issues in due course.
Here's my short response:
"99% of what is appearing is a result of psy-ops. The United States very well knows what * does to troops. If you go to my Congressional website you will see a floor speech by me complaining about the US making * an approved drug for our soldiers. The speech, given many years ago, could be entitled 'Locked, Cocked, and Ready to Rock' and should be in the Congressional Record. Read this from just a few years ago:
"'CIA give Afghan warlords * in exchange for information on Taliban
The CIA has secured co-operation from ageing Afghan warlords by providing them with an unusual incentive – *.
By Toby Harnden in Washington

"Whatever it takes to make friends and influence people – whether it's building a school or handing out *," one veteran CIA officer told The Washington Post.
*: the blue pills to boost libidos are the latest in a long line of inducements including tooth extractions and visas
According to the newspaper, pills to boost the libidos of Afghan tribal patriarchs are the latest in a long line of inducements including medicine or operations for family, toys and school equipment, tooth extractions and visas.
In one case, a warlord aged 60 who was struggling to satisfy his four younger wives was also holding back information that could be crucial to American interests.
A clandestine CIA operatives who was visiting sensed an opportunity and reached into his bag for a small gift of four blue pills. "Take one of these," he said. "You'll love it."
Four days later, the CIA man returned to a beaming warlord – whether there were any smiles form his wives was not reported. The warlord furnished the CIA with invaluable details of Taliban supply routes and movements before requesting more pills.
More traditional CIA bribes involved money and guns. But they can be problematic because the weapons might be used against American forces and money can compromise an informant who is not careful about how visibly it is spent.
"If you give an asset $1,000, he'll go out and buy the shiniest junk he can find, and it will be apparent that he has suddenly come into a lot of money from someone," Jamie Smith, a former CIA officer, told The Washington Post.
"Even if he doesn't get killed, he becomes ineffective as an informant because everyone knows where he got it."
The trick was to identify a means of pleasing the CIA source enough to guarantee his loyalty without making it obvious to others that he's being rewarded.
"You're trying to bridge a gap between people living in the 18th century and people coming in from the 21st century so you look for those common things in the form of material aid that motivate people everywhere.'"

Hear,hear!
More from the champion of the poor and oppressed, and opponent of the 'NWO' 'War Criminals', Cynthia McKinney:
(PS- I had the honour of listening to another fearless campaigner for the poor - Anarudhati Roy - today at Friends House. I gave her several 9/11 and 'False Flag' DVD's; hopefully she will watch them.
She is 'onboard' in spirit, anyhow. She spoke about the 'Global Elite' (though not specifically mentioning the 'NWO'. Like Cynthia and Malalai Joya, she should make mighty men ashamed of their capitulation to the terror of the global banker's 'NWO'.
Here she is:
Seems the "Mighty Wurlitzer" is running in overdrive. Only thing, it's not making music, it's making noise. Interesting this comes out the day after I met with the real leader of Libya, the chief of all of the tribal chiefs. In a recent vote, the tribal chiefs voted that Libya will not be divided, despite the best efforts of NATO and their "rebel" allies. And I also met the tribal chiefs in the eastern and southern parts of the country.
See the latest from their disinformation campaign--clearly they are afraid of the truth: they want NATO to bomb their own country, and have rejected every peace proposal put forward, including one by the African Union. Interestingly, the contents of this misinformation message bear a striking resemblance to the tone set in the campaign used against Earl Hilliard, sitting Congressman defeated by the pro-Israel Lobby in 2002 for daring to be interested in Africa in general and Libya in particular, and encouraging the Members of the Congressional Black Caucus to do the same. I was told that the NATO allies have promised Israel recognition and a military base, among other things. I will produce a report on that once I've completed my interviews, readings, and have obtained the translation of the Hebrew document.

Muammar Gaddafi and Cynthia Mckinney: BFFs 4eva!

With a white scarf around her shoulders, and the familiar green banner scrolling across the screen, Cynthia Mckinney appeared on Libyan State TV on Saturday. What a triumph for the sinking ship that is the Gaddafi regime—as NATO and the international community continue their efforts to force Gaddafi from power. Here is their shiny white knight: an American ex-Congresswoman who’s willing to defend them against the Western-Imperialist-Al Qaeda-rats.
She’s the worst sort of person to be involved in the Libyan conflict: not only incredibly uninformed but deluded as well, having fully swallowed the lies of the Gaddafi regime as unalienable truths. Mckinney continues to defend Gaddafi as a ‘hero’ of African rights (we’ll talk about this more below) and refuses to acknowledge the crimes of his regime. Her justification for doing so indicates a stunning ignorance on her part. Even as damning evidence of the Gaddafi regime’s unspeakable cruelty mounts against it—countless videos, photos and eyewitness accounts of citizens, journalists and others—Cynthia Mckinney stands by Gaddafi, recently making an appearance on Libyan State TV from Tripoli as part of an NGO “fact-finding” mission.
There are many like her, among them, Louis Farrakhan, whose support of Gaddafi hinges on the fact that Gaddafi has funneled millions of dollars into the Nation of Islam and consequently into Farrakhan’s pocket. Farrakhan too has chosen to turn a blind eye towards the undeniable atrocities that the Gaddafi regime has perpetrated upon it’s own people (not just since February 15th but for 42 years) and instead has parroted government propaganda, painting the regime as some kind of perverted harbinger of peace to the African continent.
It was bad enough when Mckinney extolled the nonexistent virtues of Gaddafi’s ‘Jamahiriya’ as an idealized form of ‘direct democracy.’ Then, McKinney lauded The Green Book as some kind of paragon of democratic philosophy. Even Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, his own son and former heir apparent, admits that the jamahiriya is no democracy.
Her appearance on Libyan State TV is a slap in the face to the Libyan people. Here, a former Congresswomen standing by the man who is responsible for the deaths of thousands of Libyans and on the same channel that has repeatedly aired footage of Gaddafi promising to “cleanse” Benghazi of dissidents, house by house and closet by closet.
Libyan State TV is a ‘a psychological weapon,’ a relentless propaganda machine. This is the same outlet that called rape survivor Iman Al Obeidy a ‘prostitute’ and accused her of lying about being captured and repeatedly raped and tortured by Gaddafi forces. Not to mention, the now infamous lies about Nescafe pills and al Qaeda terrorists and the denial of the deaths of what some reports suggest may be more than 30,000 Libyans.
Cynthia Mckinney says she’s in Tripoli because she wants to “understand the truth.” And yet professional journalists who’ve been stationed there for months say that the truth, in Tripoli, is impossible to find. “If there is a hell for journalists,” wrote Sky News’ Emma Hurd, “It will probably be a lot like the Rixos Hotel in Tripoli.” Journalists in Tripoli have been denied their freedom to report, restricted to the gilded prison walls of the Rixos Hotels, and forced, at times, to report the propaganda they are they fed by Musa Ibrahim, the Libyan regime’s snakelike spokesperson.
What does Mckinney expect to find? Here’s what she won’t find:
Mckinney says Gaddafi is a champion of African rights, but Gaddafi’s actions on the African continent suggest otherwise. His plans for a United Africa seem to coincidentally insist that he be Africa’s figurehead. Gaddafi condescendingly calls himself the King of Kings of Africa, manipulating pan-African sentiments and handing out millions through Libyan development funds to fuel his delusions of grandeur. His record in Africa is mixed at best, dishing out much needed capital to poverty-stricken and indebted African nations to support his self-interests and feed his megalomania, while fostering rifts and fomenting war between rival groups and nations. Despite the regime’s heralding of the construction of a hospital here or a hotel there, not a single one of Libya’s (African) neighbors has been spared his destructive touch, constant meddling and absurd arrogance.
He has denied citizenship to Libya’s marginalized Tabou tribes, and exploited disenfranchised peoples, handing them weapons and money to go to war during Libya’s aggression on its southern neighbor, Chad. During that time he created and financed the Janjaweed, the brutal Sudanese militia who perpetrated the massacres in Darfur. The Janjaweed militia not only killed thousands, but also used rape as a “systematic weapon of ethnic cleansing.”
African immigrants in Libya are treated with hostility by the Libyan government and exploited for cheap labor. A Human Rights Watch report from 2006 found: “Foreigners in Libya reported police violence and due process violations, including torture and unfair trials.” The report also describes the dismal conditions under which Africans are held in detention camps for migrants. During the current crisis in Libya, the Gaddafi regime has been accused of using African migrants as weapons in the face of European hostility, cramming thousands of African migrants into boats by force. Hundreds have died in over-loaded boats that capsized en route to Italy.
Not to mention, the war crimes committed against Libyans, who are in fact Africans.
Gaddafi has openly and brazenly financed known war criminals in Liberia and Sierra Leone. Liberia’s ex-president and warlord Charles Taylor has a rap-sheet that rivals Gaddafi’s. He now stands trial on “11 counts of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and other serious violations of international humanitarian law.” Taylor and Sierra Leone’s rebel leader, Fonday Sankoh, were both trained in Libya and financed by Gaddafi— the two are responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths in Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia, not to mention the rape of hundreds of women and their indiscriminate use of child soldiers.
None of this is secret. It’s not hidden in a vault somewhere in Gaddafi’s super-secure compound of Bab Azizia. It’s not in any confidential CIA reports. These are facts: well-known, long-established, cold-hard facts—and yet Cynthia Mckinney seems to have no knowledge of them, instead giving preference to romantic notions of pan-Africanism perpetuated by the regime.
She makes other erroneous claims—she likes to tout Gaddafi’s system of “subsidized healthcare, education, housing, etc” as proof of his goodwill and legitimacy. She says Libyans enjoy the profits of Libya’s large oil reserves. She conveniently skirts the fact of Libya’s 30% poverty rate: 2/3 of Libyans live on less than $2 a day—unless you’re a close personal friend of Muammar you don’t see anything of that oil money.
Libya’s healthcare system is a disaster. The World Health Organization ranks Libya’s health care system at 87. In 2009, there was approximately 1 health care profession for every 1,000 Libyans. Many Libyans don’t find sufficient medical care inside the country and must make expensive trips abroad to Tunisia, Algeria, and surrounding countries for better treatment.
“Boarding an aeroplane to visit your doctor is common practice among Libyans,” reported a 2010 article in Middle East Economic Digest, “As a result of sanctions imposed during the 1980s and early 1990s, the country’s healthcare system has been starved of the investment and medical training needed to build a modern infrastructure of clinics and hospitals. Those in need of specialist care now drive to Tunis or fly to Malta, Germany or the UK to avoid the staff shortages and overcrowding that have become a feature of Libya’s public hospitals, of which there are now little more than 100.”
Mckinney’s claims of subsidized housing in Libya are also absurd. Libya suffers from a crippling housing crisis. In Tripoli, the government attempted to “tackle” a shortage of 500,000 housing units by building a series of luxury high-rises—but with a 33% unemployment rate, who could afford to live in such places?
Mckinney idealizes Gaddafi’s The Green Book—the same book that decreed that whoever lived in a house owned it—meaning a family could return from a weekend trip to visit family and find that squatters now own their home.
Again, these are not state secrets. A cursory Google search would’ve led Mckinney to the truth. Instead, Mckinney stews in conspiracy and panders to the Libyan government, disseminating their lies and perpetuating a Gaddafi-approved narrative. Mckinney freely lambasts Obama and NATO— who are in no way above criticism—but refuses to acknowledge the irrefutable war crimes of the Gaddafi regime. She would rather not acquaint herself with the truth, it seems—instead, she’d prefer to rub elbows with known war criminals and mass murderers on Libyan State TV.

Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi, besieged by rebels and Western-led bombing runs, took time Sunday to play some chess with Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, president of the World Chess Federation, Russia’s Interfax news agency reported.
Kadafi told Ilyumzhinov that he had no intention of stepping down as leader of Libya, Interfax said.
“I am neither premier nor president nor king,” Interfax quoted Kadafi as saying during the meeting. “I do not hold any post in Libya and therefore I have no position that I should give up.”
Kadafi, referred to simply as “the Leader,” indeed has no official position in the Libyan government. However, he has wielded near-supreme power for more than 40 years in the North African nation.
The chess federation chief, who is touring African states, said he also played chess with Kadafi’s son, Muhammad, who heads the national Olympic Committee, Interfax reported. The two used the Sicilian defense, he said.
Like Kadafi, Ilyumzhinov is somewhat of an eccentric. The multi-millionaire businessman made headlines in Russia after saying he had been abducted by aliens from the balcony of his Moscow apartment.
Meantime, the Algerian Foreign Ministry issue a denial Sunday of reports that Kadafi had fled there.

As NATO attacks continue in Libya, ex US Congresswoman and former presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney went to the country on a non-governmental fact-finding mission to see what exactly is going on in the war-torn country. Cynthia McKinney believes the bombardments of Libyan cities and other measures taken by NATO, causing civilian casualties, represent the idea of "collective punishment".

Breaking: African Union Threatens Withdrawal From United Nations
Posted: 2011/06/19 - http://www.mathaba.net/news/?x=627194
After yet again being ignored in its legal and legitimate demands for the Europeans to stop bombing Africa's Libya, the African Union has issued its intentions to respond
Mathaba has learned that the African Union is intending to pull out of the United Nations Organization unless NATO stops bombing fellow AU member Libya.
The African Union (AU) is also demanding a United Nations Security Council seat for the African Union, and the removal of both France and Britain as permanent security council members and replacing them with one European Union representation or Germany.
The African Union is also lobbying the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) as well as the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) non Arab members for support.
South America and the powerful BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) are likely either support or not oppose the African Union with which they have good and respectful relations.
The conflict against Libya has pitted white racist former colonial powers Britain, France, Italy, Belgium and Holland against Africa's gateway and crown, its longest northern shore-line, and most powerful and wealthy state, Libya.
The United States of America, which is in economic meltdown, has spearheaded the attack on Libya with Obama having come under unprecedented attack from Africans and African Americans for allowing himself to serve a resource-grab on Africa.
Mathaba Analysts have already warned of the outbreak of World War III due to rapidly developing fault lines and the break-down of law and order in the international arena, with several NATO states and allies having recognized terrorists in lieu of the Libyan government.

On Thursday, US ambassador Susan Rice announced that Libyan government troops were being issued * and told to rape as a terror weapon. She made the comment as part of a debate with another envoy to highlight that “the coalition is confronting an adversary doing reprehensible things.” Several diplomats said Rice provided no evidence for the * allegation, which they said was made in an attempt to persuade doubters the conflict in Libya was not just a standard civil war but a much nastier fight in which Gadhafi is not afraid to order his troops to commit heinous acts.
However, today, MSNBC was told by US military and intelligence officials that there is no basis for Rice’s claims. While rape has been reported as a “weapon” in many conflicts, the US officials say they’ve seen no such reports out of Libya.
This sort of tactic is nothing new. It is reminiscent of the incubator babies story. In the run-up to the first gulf war in 1990, a tearful Kuwaiti girl testified before a congressional committee that she had witnessed Iraqi troops removing premature babies from incubators and stealing the incubators, levaing the babies to die. The story was used to promote the attack on Iraq, and continues to be cited as a reason for going to war in 1991.
However, the story has been widely debunked. The girl who made the allegations turned out to the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador the US, a resident of Washington, DC. Investigations by human rights groups and others found no evidence that the event ever occurred, or that the ambassdor’s daughter was even in Kuwait at the time.
My guess is that the * story will still be repeated years from now as a reason we attacked Libya.

Following recent article Susan Rice’s V.ia.gr.a Hoax: The New Incubator Babies
The said link would not post in forum due to the word v.ia.gr.a, which almost inadvertently sent out a panic as I naturally thought it was the web address antiwar.com that was being censored

Obviously it is a spam guard relating to the word v.ia.gr.a so in order not to be censored like this it would be wise to bear in mind such link wording _________________ 'Come and see the violence inherent in the system.

As part of the ongoing campaign to take over Libya NATO have now destroyed Libya's ability to export oil by bombing port oiling facilities, and dropping threats in the form of propaganda leaflets.
NATO propaganda leaflet threat: Bombs may hit any place at any time!
Translation of Gaddafi speech today, translation by Karim Budabuss:
The leader is talking now. He is saying that this is a historical day, and he is challenging Sarkozy, Cameron and Obama to switch on their TVs and watch the crowds and he is saying that they will find out that they are delusional because they entered a war which they never win, he also says if you continue targeting our houses we can do the same coz Europe is not far away but he said lets not do this and watch the crowds , kids and women. They are not here because i ordered them to, it is they are free will. in this war you are not facing me you are facing these crowds. I am nothing, if you want peace with Libyans, it is up to the crowds. If you want any thing , negotiate with the crowds. The regime is not Gaddafi regime, it is a Libyan regime . Even if many got scared, defected and escaped, the Libyans will remain, and each coward will be replaced with a hero. Is it a democracy to bomb the civilans, we don't want a democracy which comes with bombs. The socialist Jamahyria will win, the real democracy which serves the people. I advice you to stop bombing, and stop becoming merecenaries for some rebels. The Libyans said their words, they marched, their tribes made it clear that the future is for Libyans, the oil is for Libya, Libya is ours. You are delusional, a group of traitors convinced you that Libya is easy to get, you hired mercenaries , propaganda, sychological war all that didn't allow you to make any progress on the ground. Turn on ur TVs and watch the longest Libyan flag 4.5 km, I didn't make this flag, people donated to make this flag. Those rebels are no different from who betrayed Libyan during the Italian invasion. Libyan people go in millions without weapons to liberate the regions under rebel control. You Libyan people are the only one who can finish this war with a victory. If they want to negotiate we welcome that, otherwise we are continuing and they are definitely losing no matter how many weapons they drop with parachute to the rebels. We will not betrayed our history nor our children and their future. The glory is for you brave Libyans, the struggle will continue.
At ten a.m. Tripoli time on 6/28/11 the Libyan Ministry of Health made available to this observer its compilation entitled "Current Statistics Of Civilian Victims Of Nato Bombardments On Libya, (3/19/11-6/27/11).
Before releasing their data, which will be made public this afternoon, it was confirmed by the findings of the Libyan Red Crescent Society and also by civil defense workers in the neighborhoods bombed, and then vetted by researchers at Tripoli's Nassar University.
As of July 1, 2011, military casualties have not been officially released by the Libyan armed forces.
In summary, the MOH compilation documents that during the first 100 days of NATO targeting of civilians, 6121 were killed or injured. The statistical breakdown is as follows: 3093 Men were injured and 668 were killed. Women killed number 260 and 1318 injured. Children killed number 141 and 641 injured.
Of those seriously injured 655 are still under medical care in hospitals while 4,397 have been released to their families for outpatient care.
NATO claims that private apartments and homes, schools, shops, factories, crops, and warehouses storing sacks of flour were legitimate military targets are not believed by anyone here in Libya and to date NATO has failed to provide a scintilla of evidence that the 15 civilians, mainly children and their aunts and mothers, who were torn to pieces by 8 NATO rockets in the Salman neighborhood last week were legitimate military targets.
Tripoli's 3,200 neighborhoods, independently of the Libyan Armed Forces, are intensively preparing for the possibility that NATO forces or those they are seen as increasingly arming and directing, might invade the cosmopolitan greater Tripoli area during the coming weeks or months.
This observer has had the opportunity to visit some of these neighborhoods the past couple of nights and will continue to do so. As noted earlier, contrary to some media reports by the BBC, CNN and CBS Tripoli's neighborhoods during the cool evenings with wafting sea breezes, are not tense, "dangerous for foreigners and in control of trigger happy soldiers or militias." The latter assessment is nonsense. Americans and others are welcomed and their presence appreciated. Libyans are anxious to explain their points of views, a common one of which is that they are not all about Qaddafi but about protecting the family, homes, and neighborhoods from foreign invaders. A majority does support the Qaddafi leadership which is what they received with their mother's milk, but nearly all emphasize that for them and their friends it is very much about defending their revolution and country first. They appear to this observer to be very well informed about the motives of NATO and those countries that are intensively targeting their leader and their officials without regard to civilians being killed. It's about oil and reshaping African and the Middle East.
Sitting and chatting with neighborhood watch teams is actually an extremely enjoyable way to learn about and to get to know the Libyan people and how they view events unfolding in their country. It certainly beats hanging out at the bar at the hotel where the western press crowd often gather their journalistic insights and pontificate about what "the real deal is" as one told me the other day. I could not figure out much that he was talking about.
On the evening of 7/1/11 as many as one million, five hundred thousand Libyan citizens are expected to gather at Tripoli's Green Square to register their resistance to NATO's intensifying civilian targeting blitz. Some western journalists will not attend this news event because they are afraid of potential danger or their stateside bureaus are suggesting they stay away "so as not legitimize the gathering" What has become of orientalist journalism?
The neighborhoods in Libya are preparing for a ground invasion and to confront directly the invaders with a plan that one imagines would not be unfamiliar to a General Giap of Vietnam or a Chinese General Lin Peio, being a massive peoples defense. It has been organized with a house by house, street by street defense plan for every neighborhood and will include all available weaponry.
One Third of Libya Turns Out to Support Qaddafi in World’s Largest March Ever www.intifada-palestine.com
By Mathaba Independent News Agency 1.7 million people, or around 95% of the population of Tripoli, one third of the entire population of Libya, have turned out in perhaps the largest demonstration ever in world history last Friday, to demand an end to the NATO bombings of Libya.

The NATO-led intervention in Libya and the unrest in Syria are both steps in a decades-long plan by the US and its allies to completely reshape the face of Africa, believes independent journalist and peace activist Thierry Maysan. "It's quite obvious that the USA wanted to enter war at the same time with Libya and Syria. That wish was made public by John Bolton in 2002. The plan was passed over to France and Britain, who decided to bring it to life in November last year," the author believes.
What is called public uprising of the free-loving people are actually coup attempts staged by the Western nations, Maysan says. The operation in Libya in particular is marked by an astounding number of lies fed to the public, he added. "By the time of the UN Security Council vote everyone had decided on the basis of reports submitted to the council. And the Security Council was certain that during the demonstrations in Benghazi the government killed 6,000 citizens -- a terrible number. But now five months later the prosecutor at the International Criminal Court, which accused the Libyan leadership, has reduced the number... Now the prosecutor is building up his evidence on 208 victims instead of 6,000," he pointed out. In another example, footage was circulated by foreign TV channels allegedly showing Gaddafi's soldiers raping women in retribution for the uprising. The video later turned out to be a rare Libyan amateur porn flick, Maysan said. The lies are meant to hide what the West wants to do in the region, the journalist believes. "NATO keeps lying at every stage, which is surprising, because during the war in Kosovo NATO would normally lie only to conceal its mistakes. This time it's being done not to conceal the mistakes, but to conceal the strategy," he told RT.

The Italian government has blocked an investigation into the whereabouts of a massive consignment of weapons removed from a military depot in the Mediterranean, amid speculation that the cargo was secretly supplied to Libya.
The weapons were from a consignment that included 30,000 Kalashnikov AK-47 automatic rifles, 32m rounds of ammunition, 5,000 Katyusha rockets, 400 Fagot wire-guided anti-tank missiles and some 11,000 other anti-tank weapons.
They were transferred from a store on the island of Santo Stefano, off the north coast of Sardinia, and transported to the mainland where they were loaded onto army trucks , a source familiar with the operation told the Guardian. But what happened to them after that is a mystery – and now a secret.
The arms were said to have been moved about a month after Silvio Berlusconi radically shifted his stance on Libya. Firmly allied to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi until the outbreak of hostilities, he was initially reluctant to do more than provide base facilities for France and Britain.
But on 26 April, after a telephone conversation with Barack Obama, he announced that Italian planes would join the air strikes on Libya in an attempt to break the deadlock on the ground. His announcement wrong-footed his coalition allies in the Northern League, who have repeatedly deplored Italy's subsequent involvement.
A prosecutor in the town of Tempio Pausania opened an investigation into the destination of the weapons but his inquiries were blocked by an order from the prime minister's office warning that the affair was covered by official secrecy, according to reports in two daily newspapers.
The prime minister's office was unable immediately to confirm or deny the report and the prosecutor's office in Tempio Pausania could not be reached for comment.
The weapons are understood to have been seized on board a ship intercepted by British and Italian warships at the mouth of the Adriatic during the Balkan wars of the 1990s. It emerged in subsequent court proceedings that the 19,400-ton Jadran Express was carrying enough weaponry to equip an army.
The ship, with a cargo of 47 containers supposedly packed with Egyptian cotton, was bound for the Croatian port of Rijeka when it was forced off course in an operation involving the British and Ukrainian intelligence services. Italian judges ordered the arms to be destroyed.
But they were instead moved to a munitions dump on Santo Stefano from where that the arms were reportedly removed between 18 and 20 May.
thanks Disco for the Voltaire Network clip - -abslutely amazing - more evidence that NATO really is the evil empire and the French President De Gaulle was 100% right about NATO being a Nazi front.
Still only a few NATO parties are attending
Also I'm wondering if the Murdoch fiasco is the 1st part of ditching Israel? As definite cracks are appearing within the Eurozone _________________ 'Come and see the violence inherent in the system.

VOLTAIRE NETWORK | 30 JUNE 2011

The "Call to Patriotism" has been the leading political program on Libyan national television since the start of the war. It is broadcast nearly every day and is hosted by Yousif Shakeer, a respected journalist and former enemy of Gaddafi, but who currently stands for national unity in the face of foreign aggression.
The programme is aired live from the basement of the Raixos Hotel, where the international press, so that NATO will not dare bomb the studio.
A group of investigators associated with Voltaire Network now in Libya. Thierry Meyssan, Chairman of the non-aligned aligned press network, was the program’s special guest on 27 June 2011.
However, one minute before going on the air, NATO launched a guided missile on the radio relay station.
The explosion took place near Bab Al-Azizia square, which has turned into a camping ground for anti-NATO protesters since the outbreak of the hostilities. Libyan engineers managed to improvise another relay antenna and the program finally went on one and a half hours late. Several reruns were scheduled and it will soon be accessible on the internet.
The deliberate destruction of civilian installations is an international crime. According to the Alliance, the costly high-tech bombing was not targeting a relay antenna, but a mirador.
Four years ago, the United States declared that Thierry Meyssan represented a threat to their national security and, by virtue of Article 5 of the Treaty, it requested its NATO allies to "neutralize" him. Since then, he has been the object of an abduction attempt and several assassination bids, although the sponsors could not be clearly identified.
It is not known whether the missile which was used in vain to prevent the revolutionary intellectual from speaking to the Libyan people was fired by the French army or by another section of the Coalition of the Willing. _________________ 'Come and see the violence inherent in the system.

A mass-grave of alleged pro-Gaddafi soldiers has been discovered in a rebel-controlled area in Libya, according to British newspaper The Telegraph. The location was swiftly bulldozed after the discovery, suggesting an attempt to cover-up the killings. The bodies were reportedly mutilated, adding to the recent concerns of human rights abuses by rebels. Such crimes are being swept under the carpet to support NATO's cause in the region - so says Sukan Chandan, a spokesman for the British Civilians For Peace in Libya movement.
