Israel has been swept up in great debate over the past few days over whether or not to publish gruesome photographs of the Fogel family, five members of which were slaughtered in their sleep by a Palestinian terrorist in northern Samaria on Friday.
The photographs were taken as evidence by security personnel following the attack, and include wrenching images of Uri Fogel and his 3-month-old daughter, Hadas, whose throats were slit and they slept; Yoav Fogel, 11, who was attacked and murdered while he read in bed; and 3-year-old Elad Fogel, who was stabbed twice in the heart as he slept.
With the permission of the surviving Fogel children and their grandparents, unidentified members of the Jewish settler community posted the photos to a Google Picasa account. But debate raged in Israel whether or not news agencies and the government should make use of the bloody images.
Israeli Minister of Information Yuli Edelstein on Monday decided to officially distribute the photos to the press as part of a PR campaign to show the world the kind of cruelty with which Jews are targeted in their homeland. The Fogel family readily consented to this effort.
Others were opposed, such as former minister Isaac Herzog of the left-wing Labor Party, who insisted that distributing the photos “cheapens the tragedy” and lowers the common denominator between Israel and its enemies, who regularly publish photos of dead children even if they were not killed in Israeli anti-terror operations.
Israel Today agrees with Mr. Edelstein and the Fogel family that it is time for the world to see just how brutal is the threat that the Jews of Israel face, and to then realize which side is truly under siege.

The poor girl has just burried her family .. She's only 12 and she was "Visited" by Pollards wife and now she's requesting his release .. You've got some warped people in Israel !! |

"Palestinian Terrorist" maybe. Could equally be some deranged madman who had a grudge. Perhaps we should tar all cumbrians because some mad gunman went on the rampage with a shotgun.
Of course US dropping atomic bombs and nagasaki was a civilised killing of thousands in one go.
