|
Alan Hart, a recently retired journalist formerly with ITN and with BBC Panorama, an expert on the Middle East, will speak at the journalists' Frontline Club near Paddington Station. His talk is entitled "The Media and the Middle East - Has the Mainstream Media Betrayed Democracy in its Reporting of the Middle East?"
He disbelieves the official conspiracy theory of 9/11 and has his own tentative theory of what probably happened, based on his familiarity with the various factions in the Middle East. He developed good relationships with both Yasser Arafat and Golda Meir and was noted for his scoops.
An Alex Jones interview with Alan can be watched here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97o6HgiXw9g Here is his personal website: http://alanhart.net/
Doors will open at 6.30. Alan will speak at 7.30 followed by an extended discussion. Drinks there may be purchased at the bar.

As Tj has requested, a short report on a.Harts talk:-
Apparently when A.Hart asked Edward Heath (in the 70's) what concerned him most about the future, Ed Heath replied that he was concerned that the UK would become a police state. _________________ "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" Martin Luther king |
