Designed and coordinated by NSA, the ECHELON system is used to intercept ordinary
e-mail, fax, telex, and telephone communications carried over the world's telecommunications
networks. Unlike many of the electronic spy systems developed during the Cold War,
ECHELON is designed primarily for non-military targets:
governments, organizations, businesses, and individuals in virtually every country.
It potentially affects every person communicating between (and sometimes within) countries anywhere in the world:

To chat in privacy, without government spies eavesdropping on your conversations:

Skype a nightmare for wiretappers :

A pretty good way to foil the NSA :

It's OK, I'm not paranoid. Just thought this might come in handy.

I think the majority of "us" are aware that 911 is merely a gate into a whole new world of nasty deeds and doings. |

ECHELON is all hype...
Do your math on the processing power of the world's fastest computers. Then count up the amount of people involved in that part of the industry.
There is no way to make sense of that much information as a human.
Its mostly about psychology and, obviously, financial fraud to keep the system going.. _________________ WTC - 9/11

There’s also HushMail for encrypted email, and Tor if your super paranoid and want to route all your web-traffic and msn (or chat client of choice) through their onion-router. But be warned Tor was developed by DARPA but is now run by the EFF, but looking at how their system is set up it seems unlikely that it could be compromised.

MMC Echelon is infact a reality and its a simple flag moniter with millions of layers of code used to analyze and priorities communications by flagging key words and word combinations, linking to dates, names etc etc. Its nothing new its been in constant use since the cold war.
Infact it warned its operators of 9/11 contineously for months for before the crime took place.
If I just say bomb, chances are the monitering software will only give this a single flag. If I then followed that word with the name of a city, and then a date their would be 2 more flags and I would more than likly be transferred into a more complex set of analyzations.
Over all my post would be analyzed and prioritised. Obviously its not 100% full proof and its possible that a plan could slip through the net. But over all it works pretty well, leaving the most important screened off data for the human to take over and make a human desition of whether or not its an important conversation. _________________ Since when? |
