NAM 16th ministerial meeting kicks off in Bali
Bali, May 25, IRNA – NAM 16th foreign ministers meeting kicked off its work here on Wednesday with participants from 118 members states.


Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi is to deliver a speech in the gathering.
He will also meet with a number of his counterparts on the sidelines of the gathering, including Egyptian foreign minister.
Indonesia hosts the gathering under chairmanship of Egypt and draft document of next 50 years activities of the movement will be approved in this meeting.
The meeting is being held simultaneously with 50th anniversary of Non-Aligned Movement foundation in the year 1961.
Iran will take over the chairmanship from Egypt at the end of the meeting.
The 16th summit meeting of NAM will be held in Tehran in the year 2012.
Azerbaijan Republic and Fiji are to be accepted as new members of the NAM, so the total number of the NAM members will reach 120.
