Thousands upon thousands of protesters took to the streets to kick off the Occupy Wall Street Protests. Police herded the people as if they were cattle and the media paid them no respect, but the protesters remained peaceful and paid the media no respect.
Anonymous supports peaceful protests & free speech. You have a right to be heard. Anonymous is here to help. Anonymous is not affiliated with any political party.
Its hard to tell how many people are there as this video is being uploaded, but there are many. There are many police as well. Anonymous asks the police to respect the protesters rights as the protesters respect the police duty to keep everyone safe.
A side note: On September 17, 1787, forty-two of the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention held their final meeting. Only one item of business occupied the agenda that day, to sign the Constitution of the United States of America.

Protesters who promised to turned Wall Street into an "American Tahrir Square" were frustrated by cops who locked down the financial district in response to the demonstrations.
"More than 1,000 protesters gathered in Manhattan for the demonstrations, but they were thwarted by police who put Wall Street on lockdown after learning about the plans through social media," the Daily Mail reports. "Protesters organized the rally under the hash-tag of #OccupyWallStreet on Twitter and Facebook, but police spotted this and shut down Wall Street near the Stock Exchange and Federal Hall."
Major banks -- including Bank of America Corp., JPMorgan Chase & Co., Morgan Stanley and Citigroup Inc. -- operate in the area blocked by police.
"We need to retake the freedom that has been stolen from the people," a call to action posted on the OccupyWallStreet website proclaims. The call was taken up groups not only on the so-called left, but also by anarchists and supporters of the "right-wing figure Lyndon LaRouche."
According to the Economic Times, protest organizers have called for protesters to camp out for weeks or even months and repeat the protests that have occurred in Egypt, Spain and Israel.
The group has called for workers to "not only strike, but seize their workplaces collectively" and "for the seizure and use of abandoned buildings, of abandoned land, of every property seized and abandoned by speculators, for the people, for every group that will organize them."
On Saturday, the New York Police erected barricades on Wall Street between Broadway and William Street.
Fox News reported that police were determined to "to prevent protesters from wreaking havoc by blocking off sections of Wall Street, including the famous bull statue where demonstrators had planned to rally."
The "havoc" was peaceful, as the San Francisco Chronicle reported:
Protesters waved red flags and toted cardboard signs with statements such as "represent the 99%." Others donned white, mustachioed masks of the anti-authoritarian protagonist from the graphic novel and film "V for Vendetta." A few people played instruments, including guitars, ukuleles and maracas. Chants and applause periodically erupted around the plaza.
The National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, part of the Department of Homeland Security, has warned that additional protests are planned for financial districts in Madrid, Milan, London and Paris.

As it started to rain last night, peaceful protesters at Liberty Park put up some tarps to protect video equipment. The NYPD used this an excuse to violently attack the protest camp and make several arrests. As the crowd chanted “the whole world is watching,” the police came in and brutally threw several protesters to the ground. One of them had a tooth knocked out. Thus far several other injuries have been reported.

A senior New York police officer accused of pepper-spraying young women on the "Occupy Wall Street" demonstrations is the subject of a pending legal action over his conduct at another protest in the city.
The Guardian has learned that the officer, named by activists as deputy inspector Anthony Bologna, stands accused of false arrest and civil rights violations in a claim brought by a protester involved in the 2004 demonstrations at the Republican national convention.
Hundreds of pilots from United/Continental showed up in full dress and made a show in support for their union during an ongoing labor dispute. They stood in an area on Broad Street, near Wall Street and the Stock Exchange. The organization is unrelated (formally) to #occupywallstreet; it just happened to coincide at the same time.

I cannot comment on the source of this information for obviouse reasons but it is not me. The man spraying the women is Anthony V. Bologna and he resides at 5 Sawyer Avenue Staten Island NY. He works at Patrol Borrough Manhattan South.
We the people deserve answers as to why such a thing would be done and the answers will prove that you are all sheeple being managed like a herd. Only by acknowledging your situation can you change it so accept this reality, decide to change it and join the anti new world order movement TODAY!
I would like to thank Anthony Bologna for demonstrating how the state believes that the ends justify the means, how freedom is an illusion and for being the first employee of the state to be caught on film PROVOCATEURING in an attempt to create violience.
Should violience errupt in NY or elsewhere where agents of the state are present know that it is the government instigating peaceful protesters - even if they have to dress up as protesters themselves and attack cops. A Report from the Frontlines: The Long Road to #OccupyWallStreet and the Origins of the 99% Movement
How Anonymous, AmpedStatus, the NYC General Assembly, US Day of Rage, Adbusters and Thousands of Individual Actions Led to the Occupation of Liberty Park and the Birth of a Movement
As the occupation of Wall Street moves into its third week, there are many questions about the organizers behind the ongoing protests and the origins of the 99% Movement. As one of the many people who actively supported the effort, and helped launch the 99% Movement, I will give my perspective on the events leading up to the occupation of Liberty Park.
As I understand it, the #OccuppyWallStreet 99% Movement is a decentralized non-violent rebellion against economic tyranny. It is a leaderless movement that has been dependent upon tens of thousands of individuals taking it upon themselves to take action and fight back against their own personal financial hardships, and in defense of their family and friends who are desperately struggling to make ends meets.
The road that led to the successful occupation has been a long, hard and winding one. When you go to Liberty Park, into the heart of the occupation, you will see a very diverse group of people with opinions across the entire political spectrum. It is the very essence of a ground-up grassroots decentralized movement. Everyone there has their own individual story on what brought them to take such a strong and inspiring stand in support this action. I urge members of the press and people interested in the movement to begin a dialogue with any one of the people taking part. There are many fascinating stories to be heard and a deeper understanding of what’s happening is impossible without hearing from a plurality of voices.

There is no greater threat to the security and prosperity of the United States today than the out-of-control, secretive Federal Reserve.
Imagine that parents, overwhelmed by debt and months behind on their bills, sent their spendthrift teenagers out each weekend for a night on the town with credit cards and blank checks. Would anyone be surprised if this family never got their finances under control?
Yet that is how a government which is almost 15 trillion dollars in the red behaves by entrusting taxpayers' financial futures to the Federal Reserve, which pumps money into the economy whenever it chooses and makes secret deals with Wall Street executives, foreign central banks, and other politically-connected insiders without any significant oversight from Congress.
Snuck through Congress on Christmas Eve in 1913, the Federal Reserve Act established the Fed as America's central bank. The Fed essentially creates money out of thin air, manipulates interest rates, and interferes with the free market. By doing so, the Fed fuels our economy's boom-bust cycle and has helped devalue our dollar by over 95%.
According to the Minneapolis Federal Reserve branch's own website, what you could buy with $1.00 in 1913 would now cost you $22.55.

October 1, 2011 - TAMPA, FL - The Occupy Wall Street movement may have just received an unexpected surprise – United States Army and Marine troops are reportedly on their way to various protest locations to support the movement and to protect the protesters.
Army serviceman Ward Reilly https://www.facebook.com/wardpeace posted the following on Facebook, “I'm heading up there tonight in my dress blues. So far, 15 of my fellow marine buddies are meeting me there, also in Uniform.
I want to send the following message to Wall St and Congress:
I didn't fight for Wall St. I fought for America. Now it's Congress' turn.
My true hope, though, is that we Veterans can act as first line of defense between the police and theprotester. If they want to get to some protesters so they can mace them, they will have to get through the * Marine Corps first. Let's see a cop mace a bunch of decorated war vets.
I apologize now for typos and errors. Typing this on iPhone whilst heading to NYC. We can organize once we're there. That's what we do best.If you see someone in uniform, gather together.
A formation will be held tonight at 10PM.
We all took an oath to uphold, protect and defend the constitution of this country. That's what we will be doing.

Reilly added, “Please note...this is from another veteran, NOT ME. (I was Army, he's a Marine)...and I am on my way to DC, not NYC. :>) ....but this is fantastic, and he's not a VFP guy....just a soldier that is outraged by what we have become in this country, as it should be.
“A LOT of veterans get it,” Reilly stated. “Only one third of one percent of our citizens serve in the military, and we are the ones who sacrifice MUCH, and all we ask in return is that civilians control the people they elect. (miserable failure so far) But ...the image of police, or anyone else, pepper spraying veterans or even confronting them, is "priceless" as they say, and will help slap this country into seeing what we have become.(totally insane, politically and police-state-wise). And EXACTLY what I have requested from my brother and sister veterans in DC Oct.6.”
This could be the defining moment that sends the Occupy Wall Street movement into perpetual motion.
In this writer's opinion, these servicemen, and any other troops who join in, are heroes, just like the everyday heroes who have been there from day 1 along with those who are now joining in.
JP Morgan Lobbying for Support?
In related news, bankster JP Morgan recently donated the largest gift in their history of $4.6 million to the NYPD. New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly sent CEO and Chairman Jamie Dimon a note expressing "profound gratitude" for the company's donation.
Let's go back in history. In 1893, JP Morgan funded Tesla's free energy device. When Morgan found out that there was no way of charging people for it, he suppressed this technology. Shortly afterwards, Morgan became one of the founding fathers of the Federal Reserve Ponzi scheme.

We the 99% will not be silent and we will not be intimidated. This Saturday thousands more of us will march together as one to show that it is time that the 99% are heard. Join us on the 2nd week anniversary of your new movement.
This is a call for individuals, families and community and advocacy groups to march in solidarity with the #occupywallstreet movement on Saturday, October 1st at 3 p.m.
We are unions, students, teachers, veterans, first responders, families, the unemployed and underemployed. We are all races, sexes and creeds. We are the majority. We are the 99 percent. And we will no longer be silent.
As members of the 99 percent, we occupy Wall Street as a symbolic gesture of our discontent with the current economic and political climate and as an example of a better world to come. Therefore we invite the public, our fellow 99 percent, to join us in a march on SATURDAY AT THREE, starting from LIBERTY PLAZA (ZUCCOTTI PARK) at LIBERTY & BROADWAY.
March will end with a gathering and some eating at Brooklyn Bridge Park 5:30 pm.

#occupywallstreet would like to apologize to the members of the press and public who came out today to see Radiohead and left disappointed. We would also like to apologize to the band directly, and appreciate their kind words of support in the face of this confusion. They had nothing to do with what happened today.
Over the last twenty-four hours #occupywallstreet received several emails purportedly from Radiohead's manager detailing a show for Friday, September 30th at four in the afternoon. Due to miscommunication within our rapidly expanding and adjusting group, we were unable to determine that this was a hoax in time; it can be difficult to seperate rumor from fact in an open source movement.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Comedienne and actress Roseanne Barr had a strong message for bankers who contributed to the economic crisis: Return the profits or be beheaded.
The comedienne and self-proclaimed presidential candidate appeared on the RT television program "Keiser Report" and said if she were president, she would bring back the guillotine as a form of capital punishment for the "worst of the worst of the guilty."
"I, first, would allow the guilty bankers to pay back anything over $100 million (in) personal wealth, because I believe in the maximum wealth of $100 million," Barr said. "If they're unable to live on that amount, they should go to re-education camps. And if that doesn't work, they should be beheaded."
Barr is one of several celebrities to come out in support of hundreds of protest who camped out in a lower Manhattan park as part of the "Occupy Wall Street" demonstration.
Barr announced her candidacy for president under the "Green Tea Party" ticket on NBC's Tonight Show in August. In a separate interview, Barr also said she is running for Prime Minister of Israel.

Update: Source now says about 400 protesters arrested, instead of 50.
About 400 anti-Wall Street protesters were arrested on Saturday afternoon after blocking traffic lanes on the Brooklyn Bridge and attempting an unauthorized march across the span, police and witnesses said.
On the second week of protests by the Occupy Wall Street movement, a large group of marchers broke off from others on the bridge’s pedestrian walkway and headed across the Brooklyn-bound lanes.
“Approximately 400 were arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge late this afternoon after multiple warnings by police were given to protesters to stay on the pedestrian walkway,” a police spokesman said.
“Some complied and took the walkway without being arrested. Others locked arms and proceeded on the Brooklyn-bound vehicular roadway. The latter were arrested,” he added.
Both the walkway and Brooklyn-bound car lanes were shut to traffic, snarling traffic. But police said it was expected to be opened soon.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene on the famous suspension bridge as a sea of police officers surrounded the protesters using orange mesh netting.
Some protesters tried to get away as officers started handcuffing members of the group. Dozens of protesters were seen handcuffed and sitting on the span as three buses were called in to take them away, witnesses and organizers said.
The march started about 3:30 p.m. EDT from the protesters’ camp in Zuccotti Park in downtown Manhattan near the former World Trade Center. Members of the group have vowed to stay at the park through the winter.

In addition to what they view as excessive force and unfair treatment of minorities, including Muslims, the movement is also protesting against home foreclosures, high unemployment and the 2008 bailouts.
Film maker Michael Moore and actress Susan Sarandon have stopped by the protesters’ camp, which is plastered with posters with anti-Wall Street slogans and has a kitchen and library, to offer their support.
On Friday evening, more than 1,000 demonstrators, including representatives of labor organizations, held a peaceful march to police headquarters a few blocks north of City Hall to protest what they said was a heavy-handed police response the previous week. No arrests were reported.
A week ago, police arrested about 80 members of Occupy Wall Street near the Union Square shopping district as the marchers swarmed onto oncoming traffic.
A police commander doused a handful of women with pepper spray in an incident captured on video and spread via the Internet, galvanizing the loosely organized protest movement.
The group has gained support among some union members. The United Federation of Teachers and the Transport Workers Union Local 100, which has 38,000 members, are among those pledging solidarity.
The unions could provide important organizational and financial support for the largely leaderless movement.
Similar protests are sprouting in other cities, including Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
