Levenda is one of the best authors on the topic of the pre & post WW2 Nazi
But he's being led on a wild goose chase alright here - there's a big incentive to massage history with the pretence that Hitler survived WWII. In fact it was his party leader, in charge of everything including promotion within the Nazi party, Martin Bormann, who was the real survivor, creating the fourth reich in Paraguay and Argentina. On a research visit to Indonesia in 2008, famed author Peter Levenda heard a rumor concerning the alleged escape of Adolf Hitler. As someone who has written extensively on the Second World War, he was not impressed with the conspiracy theories that Hitler had survived the War and fled to Argentina, among other possible locales. He was prepared to dismiss the theory out of hand, until he saw information contained in a dead man's diary that mentioned the single name ""Draganovic."" At that point, the author became convinced there was a story worth investigating.
Draganovic is not a name familiar to most people. A Roman Catholic monsignor during the War, Draganovic was a devoted Nazi who would create the ""monastery route"": a so called ratline that would enable SS officers and other wanted war criminals to escape justice using Catholic monasteries and churches as safe houses in Europe and Latin America. Why would this name turn up in a document written in a spidery German hand in a remote island in Indonesia?
The mystery deepened, and the author returned to his own roots hunting Nazis in North America, South America and Europe. He revisited old contacts, made some new ones, and gradually the explosive story was revealed: there is no forensic evidence to prove that Adolf Hitler died in the bunker in April 1945!

as the German NAZIs fled Europe to various points around the world, one of them, allegedly, was indeed the evil Adolph HItler, who did not die by his own hand in the Berlin bunker with the Russian and Allied forces closing in on him in 1945. And you won't believe where the international 'ratline' escape routes took Hitler and his cohorts, and what he was allegedly doing when the end came. The thought that the surviving dastardly NAZI hierarchy might have escaped and, outside of those tracked down and brought to trial or other forms of justice, lived out their days in some comfort and protection is disgusting but true in many cases. Whether this happened to one of the greatest mass murderers in history is up to the reader to decide. The author does a superb job of investigation, detailed by high-quality writing, of how he believes this happened. There is some characterizing of organizations and countries as complicit in the operation of the ratline, when it was actually individuals within who did so. This book is Definitely Recommended. Its a fascinating effort because the author describes a number of very odd things including what appeared to be a rehearsel of the burning of Hitler and Braun's bodies, long after their supposed deaths in the bunker, when Soviet troops now held that quarter of the city. He wants to accept the Authorised Version, but nonetheless has a chapter entitled 'The Shot Nobody Heard' (Hitler shooting himself). Moreover he describes the strange, surreal re-enaction of events after the purported joint suicide, which he witnessed as an accidental observer.
I thought at the time that here we had a controlled release or pointer - of information.
Without a doubt Reinhard Gehlen, Hitler's security boss on the Eastern Front, first post war commander of BND (West German intel), proprietor of the famous Nazi Takeaway which stuffed the post war German state with Nazis, undoubtedly knew the truth about Hitler.
I never believed the half-burnt bodies in the garden lark.

Adolf Hitler may not have shot himself dead and perhaps did not even die in his bunker, it emerged yesterday. A skull fragment believed for decades to be the Nazi leader’s has turned out to be that of a woman under 40 after DNA analysis. Scientists and historians had long thought it to be conclusive proof that Hitler shot himself in the head after taking a cyanide pill on 30 April 1945 rather than face the ignominy of capture.

The piece of skull - complete with bullet hole - had been taken from outside the Fuhrer’s bunker by the Russian Army and preserved by Soviet intelligence. Now the story of Hitler’s death will have to rewritten as a mystery - and conspiracy theorists are likely to latch on to the possibility that he may not have died in the bunker at all.
The traditional story is that Hitler committed suicide with Eva Braun as the Russians bombarded Berlin. Although some historians doubted he shot himself and suggested it was Nazi propaganda to make him a hero, the hole in the skull fragment seemed to settle the argument when it was put on display in Moscow in 2000. But DNA analysis has now been performed on the bone by American researchers.

'We know the skull corresponds to a woman between the ages of 20 and 40,' said University of Connecticut archeologist Nick Bellantoni. 'The bone seemed very thin; male bone tends to be more robust. And the sutures where the skull plates come together seemed to correspond to someone under 40.' Hitler was 56 in April 1945. Mr Bellantoni flew to Moscow to take DNA swabs at the State Archive and was also shown the bloodstained remains of the bunker sofa on which Hitler and Braun were believed to have killed themselves. 'I had the reference photos the Soviets took of the sofa in 1945 and I was seeing the exact same stains on the fragments of wood and fabric in front of me, so I knew I was working with the real thing,' he said. His astonishing results have been broadcast in the U.S. in a History Channel documentary titled Hitler's Escape.

According to witnesses, the bodies of Hitler and Braun were wrapped in blankets and carried to the garden just outside the bunker, placed in a bomb crater, doused with petrol and set ablaze. In May 1945 a Russian forensics team dug up what was presumed to be the dictator’s body. Part of the skull was missing, apparently the result of the suicide shot. The remaining piece of jaw matched his dental records, according to his captured dental assistants. And there was only one testicle. A year later the missing skull fragment was found on the orders of Stalin, who remained suspicious about Hitler’s fate. Just how and when he died is now shrouded in mystery. Mr Bellantoni said it was unlikely the bone was Braun’s, who was 33. 'There is no report of Eva Braun having shot herself or having been shot afterwards,' he said. 'Many people died near the bunker.'

Unknown to the world, the corpse then believed to be Hitler's was interred in Magdeburg, East Germany. There it remained long after Stalin’s death in 1953. Finally, in 1970, the KGB dug up the corpse, cremated it and secretly scattered the ashes in a river. Only the jawbone (which remains away from public view), the skull fragment and the bloodstained sofa segments were preserved in the deep archives of Soviet intelligence. Mr Bellantoni studied the remains after flying to Moscow to inspect the gruesome Hitler trophies at the State Archive. He was allowed only one hour with the Hitler trove, during which time he applied cotton swabs and took DNA samples. The samples were then flown back to Connecticut. At the university’s centre for applied genetics, Linda Strausbaugh closed her lab for three days to work exclusively on the Hitler project She said: ‘We used the same routines and controls that would have been used in a crime lab.’ To her surprise, a small amount of viable DNA was extracted. She then replicated this through a process known as molecular copying to provide enough material for analysis. ‘We were very lucky to get a reading, despite the limited amount of genetic information,’ she said.

hitler was not a coward he served in trenchs in 1914 to 1918 the question woulld be his health in 1945 there is the possbilty he escaped and faking his death is one of the oldest tricks in the book, nobody would be looking a supposibly dead man and what has been going on in the world these past 60 years he might still be influencing history maybe thur his children and the nazis international.

i always suspected this, he was too much of a coward to have killed himself. and i would have thought he got out of germany some time before the end of the war, as many nazis ended up in brazil, i reckon thats where he went. well done to the forensics team who uncovered this scam. but we will never know for sure will we
I really enjoy reading about the World War II history. It's my favourite time in history. The thing is, as the time passes things seem to be more and more confused. Part of this is because history is always told by the winners, and we, poor mortals, only get to know what is allowed for us to know...It's a pitty, but it's the way it is and we'll never know for sure the real truth about many things in the world's history!. Example of this is this frustrating story about Hitler's death..Why don't they tells us the simple truth?? It's been more than 60 years now!! What's the matter about it?? Somebody might know it. Can anybody tell me???

i could imagine hitler shooting himself and planned everything so that his and eva's bodies would be burned down and buried. he didnt want to be treated like mussolini and plus he had the dignity of a leader-he planned about things even after his death.

Nationalists in modern parties like the BNP no longer obsess about the regime that existed in Germany between 1933 and 1945. We have moved on and say 'good riddance' to it. It will never to be repeated, thankfully. Hitler lost and we intend to win. We are building a dynamic movement that will define 21st Century Europe.

According to director/producer Noam Shalevand researcher Pablo Weschler, Adolf Hitlerlived out his last days in an luxurious Argentinian hotel, instead of committing suicide in a Berlin bunker as previously thought. Their new documentary, Hitler in Argentina, attempts to make their case and is set to be released next year.
Shalev doesn’t claim to be 100 percent certain about his theory. “We will never know the truth,” he says. “But there is enough evidence to build an alternative theory about what happened to Hitler.”
Weschler adds, “No one believed the Russians’ story of Hitler’s suicide in the bunker. As early as the summer of 1945, there were headlines asking, ‘Where is Hitler?’ all over the world.”
Recently declassified FBI documents were the push to Shalev and Weschler to begin their film. They long believed that British intelligence officer and historian Hugh Trevor-Roper’s investigation into Hitler’s death was “unprofessional,” because Russian troops did not allow access to many forensic investigators.
“In those days, the FBI, not the CIA, was responsible for South America,” says Weschler. “And in declassified documents, we see that the FBI took very seriously the possibility that Hitler fled to Argentina.”
In fact, the FBI was so convinced of this possibility that they set up a special unit to investigate. Shalev and Weschler believe they can determine Hitler’s exact whereabouts after WWII. Italian journalist Patrick Burnside wrote a book entitled Hitler’s Escape about the dictator’s journey, and the pair used it as a guide.
“The Eden Hotel in La Falda, Cordoba [in Argentina] was owned by Ida and Walter Eichhorn, who were close friends of Hitler,” Weschler explains. “Hitler sent them a Mercedes Benz as a gift. It was the first Benz in Argentina.”
According to an FBI letter from September 1945, it was believed the Eichhorns would provide Hitler shelter if he ever needed it. Weschler also claims to have found former hotel employees who say they met Hitler and waited on him after the war.
The most important evidence to Shalev and Weschler comes in the form of DNA testing done on Hitler’s skill fragments in 2009, fragments that were recovered from the Berlin bunker.
“They showed that they couldn’t have been Hitler’s skull because they were from a woman under 40,” Weschler says. “The more you look into it, the less credible the official version becomes, and the more plausible an alternative theory seems.” _________________ --

Scientists said the bone fragment was too thin to be from an adult male
A bone fragment believed to be part of Adolf Hitler's skull has been revealed as being that of an unidentified woman, US scientists have said.
The section of bone - marked with a bullet hole - was used to support the theory that Hitler shot himself.
Russian scientists said the skull piece was found alongside Hitler's jawbone and had put it on display in Moscow.
But US scientists said DNA tests revealed it actually belonged to a woman aged between 20 and 40.
An archaeologist from the University of Connecticut travelled to Moscow, where the fragment has been on show in the city's federal archive since 2000, to take a sample.
Cyanide pill
Nick Bellantoni said he had suspected even before the bone was tested that the fragment did not come from an adult male.
"The bone was very small and thin, and normally male bones are much more robust in our species," he said.
"I thought it probably came from a woman or a younger man."
DNA tests confirmed that the bone fragment came from a female.
Doubts about exactly how Hitler died have persisted for decades.
Russian officials said that the bodies of Hitler and Eva Braun - who reportedly committed suicide in a Berlin bunker in 1945 - were removed from a shell crater shortly after they died.
The piece of skull forms part of a collection that also includes a section of a bloodstained sofa where Hitler is believed to have shot himself after swallowing a cyanide pill.

A major disaster has struck the controversial film ‘Grey Wolf- the escape of Adolf Hitler’. In January 2015 its executive producer, the millionaire financier Magnus Peterson, was jailed for 13 years for fraud.
Following a three-month trial in London, Magnus Peterson was found guilty on eight counts of fraud, forgery, false accounting and fake trade. His hedge fund, Weavering Capital, collapsed, costing investors an estimated US$537 million. The judge handed down one of the toughest sentences of recent times for a white collar crime and Peterson is now locked up in jail.
It’s the latest blow to hit the Nazi movie which claims Adolf Hitler survived World War II and fled to Argentina, where he lived with Eva Braun. The movie – a weird documentary drama costing at least US$2 million and involving 67 actors and a large production staff – was shot on location in Argentina. It has been entangled in legal, financial and editorial troubles for years. But a new wave of scandal threatens – allegations of deliberate plagiarism, non-payment of bills, libel, production budget fraud and scandalous behaviour behind the scenes.
Curiously, the Nazi film Magnus Peterson produced, never featured in his trial. Yet this movie scandal behind the huge financial scandal continues as Peterson’s ‘GREY WOLF‘ film is still cashing in.
The movie is based on a controversial book also called GREY WOLF – the escape of Adolf Hitler. Published in 2011, it was written by Gerrard Williams and Simon Dunstan. Critics kicked up a storm, but the book zoomed up the New York Times’ best-seller list. The film version was directed and co-produced in Argentina by one of the book’s author’s, former Sky News editor and close friend of Magnus Peterson, Gerrard Williams.
I was originally alerted to Magnus Peterson’s Hitler production in Buenos Aires in 2009. After relocating here in 2001, I had set about finding something to do after leaving the UK and my factual producer’s job at the bastion of British filmmaking, Pinewood Studios.
I knew all about the Nazis who had fled justice through ODESSA and found a safe haven in the open arms of Juan Peron’s Argentina. I also knew how the ’Ratlines’ that led to Argentina and facilitated by Vatican and Red Cross administrative channels, had figured in the successful escape of many high ranking Nazi war criminals. Such fugitives to Argentina included Dr Josef Mengele and one of the major organisers of the Holocaust, Adolf Eichmann. Eichmann was eventually snatched by the Israeli secret service (Mossad) from his quiet suburban Buenos Aires home in 1960, from under the nose of a pro Nazi Argentine government. Such events sparked my interest in investigating the Nazi escape organization ODESSA and the Nazi presence in South America post WWII.
Unknown to me I was embarking on a trail – beaten before by writers such as Freddie Forsyth and his The Odessa File, where I would meet crooks, conmen and journalistic fly-by-nights as exotic and deadly as anything found in a cheap and lurid gangster novel.
Five years into my investigation and while analysing various angles surrounding Martin Bormann’s possible escape; I met the Argentine journalist Abel Basti. An author of 8 books on the subject of Nazi fugitives in Argentina, he had carried out over 25 years of extensive research that looked as if it might support my ODESSA research and specifically, my main focus; whether Hitler’s Deputy and ’Handler’ Martin Bormann had actually arrived in Argentina and not perished in May 1945. By 2008, even though continuing to pursue new leads, I had enough new information to expand my findings into a TV series I was developing – Children of Odessa.
I first came across the name Magnus Peterson in 2009, at the time he was just a producers name on an unconscionable film contract, of which I was asked to review by the co-signatory, Abel Basti. It wasn’t until Peterson’s London Fraud trial in October 2014 and a tough conviction after a 5 year convoluted SFO investigation, that my initial suspicions of Peterson being a crook were officially confirmed.
Peterson’s trial gained priority coverage in the UK press and made worldwide financial headlines. But there was little if any coverage of the misuse of Weavering investor’s cash on the 2007 ‘Hitler’ project in Argentina. The original project entitled Lobo Gris (Grey Wolf) had been masterminded and managed by Peterson’s business partner, Gerrard Williams.
Gerrard Williams’ bio reads well – an international television journalist of 30 years, a duty editor at Reuters Television, a foreign duty editor at the BBC, Sky News, and APTN. The director of a touching 1983 documentary ‘Strength to Cry’ on the Sudan Famine that received, in his own words ‘’International critical acclaim and was broadcast in 30 countries’’. Williams is a man who parades his journalistic credentials like battle honours, yet his dubious activities surrounding the Grey Wolf film and what appears to be a dysfunctional moral compass, have excited more than a little disquiet in the Southern Hemisphere.
Abel Basti, journalist, author and newspaper editor, lives in San Carlos de Bariloche, a snow capped Andes mountain area in Southern Argentina that resembles a remote Bavarian village. Due to Edelweiss scenery and its remoteness from the rest of the world, Bariloche was and is the residence of choice for many German war criminals that used ‘Odessa’ to get out of Europe, as WWII Germany fell into the hands of the allies. Such is the pro-Nazi sentiment in Bariloche; until the late 1950’s the local German school Instituto Primo Capraro proudly flew a big swastika from its flagpole. It was in this picturesque German enclave that a former director of that school, WWII Gestapo officer Erich Priebke lived happily for years and was cited as a ‘wonderful neighbour’, till his 1997 extradition by the Italian courts for his participation in the 1944 German massacre of 335 Roman civilians.
In 2007 Gerrard Williams head-hunted Abel Basti and successfully entered into an exclusive film contract with the man that has clocked up more ‘on the ground’ Nazi research in South America than any other ‘Nazi hunter’ to date. The contract was drawn up by Gerbil Films Ltd – a London based Production Company, of which Weavering fraudster Magnus Peterson was, like Williams, a company director.
The contract gave Williams and Peterson access to Basti’s ‘connections’ and full use of his extensive archive and his previously published books. The archive included exclusive filmed testimonies from supposed first-hand witnesses, to help Williams with the documentary film Grey Wolf.
I became aware of Williams’ suspect business activities in 2009. After frequently crossing research paths with Abel Basti since 2006, Basti and I had become trusted friends and worked closely together on our investigations. Basti spent many weekends at my old farmhouse in the Buenos Aires outback, plotting trips to Paraguay and sharing unpublished information from elderly witnesses and classified Federal police files. The trust was such that we also discussed a complicated trip to Germany, where I hoped to get Martin Bormann’s eldest son Adolf to agree to a ‘chain of custody’ DNA profile test. I wanted to compare this with the DNA of a woman born in Brazil in 1952, who believes she could be the child of a leading official of WWII Nazi Germany.
It was during one of these weekends over a bottle of good Mendoza wine, that Basti confided his distrust of Gerrard Williams and Magnus Peterson and revealed Gerbil Films failure to pay him monies owed. Basti wanted out of the exclusive contract that had him completely tied up, but which had left him financially bereft for over a year. I offered to examine the Gerbil Films agreement and found various ongoing contractual breaches. The contract was written in English and a full Spanish version had never been made available to Basti, even though he could not speak English. I then aided Basti in formally terminating the contract with Williams and Peterson’s Gerbil Films.
As a result of this action, in 2009 Williams and Peterson lost all rights to use the extensive Basti archive material for their Grey Wolf film project and any spin-offs from such, which would include books. Williams accepted the ending of the contract due to the breaches I had highlighted to Abel and his attorney, who are both non English speakers. Williams responded in writing, stating that he and Peterson were late with monies owed as they had unfortunately been hit by ‘’the world economic crisis’’. Williams and Peterson made one last attempt to keep Basti and his archive material tied up with their production company Gerbil Films Ltd, by presenting Basti with yet another equally unconscionable agreement, which he graciously but firmly refused to sign.
Basti and I then agreed to pool our large research archive and information into the Children of Odessa series. By spring 2011, after 18 months of further investigations and filming extra material to add to what we already had, we could no longer afford to invest our own resources. We then co-partnered with a London production house KPC Media. They agreed to share production costs and pitch an exclusive Children of Odessa pre-sale for a 5 part series to a UK TV network.
All was proceeding well till October 2011, when Gerrard Williams ventured into the world of mainstream book publishing. He was given prime airtime on London’s Sky News to promote his book Grey Wolf. The widely publicised work was distributed by US Publishing giant Sterling/Barnes & Noble, and co-authored with reputed history writer of 50 books, Simon Dunstan. The book controversially argues that Hitler escaped from the Berlin bunker in 1945, having fled from Germany he lived out his life in Argentina with his wife and two daughters, dying in 1962.
When interviewed on Sky News Williams presented the tale of his ‘five-year research’ on the subject. Yet he failed to reveal that the main content of his Hitler escape book was plagiarised from the Argentine journalist Abel Basti. Nor was there any mention that it was financed by money from the Weavering Hedge Fund which later turned out to be stolen.
Only days earlier I flew to London for production and network meetings with our London production partners. But the evening before I was scheduled to fly to Germany to meet with Hitler’s godson, Martin Bormann junior, I received a worrying phone call from my London media agent. He informed me he had just seen an interview on Sky News, where Gerrard Williams had promoted a Grey Wolf book. During the live broadcast, Williams claimed that he and Simon Dunstan were the sole investigators and authors of the content. Williams had gone ahead and dishonestly taken Basti’s research archive to make it into a book, even though he was no longer contractually entitled to do so. My agent stated this book would certainly annul the exclusivity of our Odessa TV series content as pitched to the network. And within days, understandably, network interest ceased.
I delayed my trip to Germany to deal with the fallout, but the damage was done. There was nothing we could do to salvage over 18 months of production work. The Odessa series as presented was blown, and would require a completely new plan to resuscitate it. That would take months.
I have watched the Williams Sky interview on YouTube various times. I wanted to get a grip on this British mainstream media man who gained the confidence of honest people, then plagiarised their work and passed it off as his own. I noted how Williams squirmed when asked a question where he was unsure of the answer. As the research was not his, he was unfamiliar with the whole story. Apart from the plagiarised material, the Grey Wolf book is a patchwork – an amateurish attempt to deal with this controversial subject. If anything, he has damaged the entire essence of Basti’s compelling investigative Hitler work, due to Williams need to sensationalise genuine legitimate questions raised by bona fide findings, with his supposed certain answers. Disgruntled readers of the book rightly argued that Williams had failed to deliver as promised, and had crammed the work with irrelevant world war history in order to fill the pages. One critic claimed – ‘This book has more holes than the Titanic after striking the iceberg.’
Williams did, however, attempt to fill in some of those holes at a later date when he approached my former investigation assistant with an offer of US$20k to access my Martin Bormann files. The young Argentine journalist refused, as his morals are greater than his need for cash.
In spring 2012 Basti and I started collecting evidence to bring legal proceedings through my union, The British Association of Journalists. They agreed to take action against Williams and Barnes & Noble /Sterling for breach of privileged information and plagiarism. In addition, our lawyers claimed a minimum US$130k for our actual physical film production losses brought about by Williams’ theft of exclusive copyrighted materials and breach of confidential information.
It was during this time while investigating Williams’ movements here in Argentina and gathering evidence for our attorneys, that I discovered the Executive Producer Magnus Peterson for the original Grey Wolf film project and the Weavering hedge fund financial fraudster Magnus Peterson where one and the same. The estimated £2.5 million cash budget earmarked for the Grey Wolf production had in the main been drawn down in South America from the Hedge Fund, via Uruguayan banks and cash machines. This discovery immediately raised red flags, but especially as while investigating the Grey Wolf production, I also learned that none of the Argentine production staff and admin assistants, including translators, had been paid as agreed.
Only one member of the production team, a British cameraman, managed to get close to payment after taking Williams to court in the UK. The cameraman won his case and was awarded £20,000 of production salary owed. But Williams never turned up at the hearing and never paid. It cost the cameraman £50,000 in court and legal fees just to get a ruling in his favour and to date he has never received a penny. I suspect the cameraman who works for various UK news agencies decided to ‘walk away’ and not get a UK court to enforce the ruling, as he fears that fighting Williams in a public forum would have a detrimental effect on his work commissions due to Williams’ close editorial ties with Sky, BBC, Reuters, Al Jazeera, ESPN and other mainstream UK news and media outlets. It is for that reason I will respect his anonymity.
It seems the SFO paid little attention to Williams during the protracted London criminal trial. But the question does need to asked, Was the film’s multi-million dollar budget deliberately mismanaged by experienced media man Williams? The answer may be found in his hands-on running of the film project; the film lacked all the minimal professional production requirements – no formal script or storyboard, no formal accounting, no cost reporting to the executive producer (Peterson), there was not even the vital presence of a professional production manager. In fact, one member of the crew described the day to day production as a ‘shambles’
So where was the $2million Grey Wolf production money spent? We know Argentine production crew and staff were not paid. Were the production accounts for this project managed by Gerrard Williams for Magnus Peterson ever made available to the Weavering investors? If so, it would be interesting to examine them.
After a 14-month analysis of the plagiarism from Basti’s 8 books and archive, The British Association of Journalists senior copyright attorney, prepared a case to file against Williams and the book’s publishers Barnes & Noble. The plagiarism and breach of moral rights was set out in a formal BAJ ‘shot-across-the-bows’ letter in May 2013 to Williams’ London Solicitors ‘Simons, Muirhead & Burton’ and Barnes & Noble corporate Attorneys in New York. Neither office has given a formal reply to date. The case has recently been lodged via London to the Argentine Courts. The lawyers are currently seeking an Argentine court judgement against Williams, which may then be enforced in The Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC) at The Royal Courts of Justice, London.
Williams is not only being cited for infringement of copyright and moral rights, failure to return master tapes and archive documents, damages, breach of confidential information, plus the failure to pay production staff, he is also being sued for libel. For in the preface of the Grey Wolf book, Williams and Dunstan have falsely cited the highly respected former editor of the Argentine financial newspaper ‘Ambito Financiero’ Ricardo De’ Aloia, as having ‘given’ them the materials used. Such materials which are owned in their entirety by Abel Basti include; taped witness interviews, photographs and documents used in both the Grey Wolf book and Williams’ recent Grey Wolf – The Escape of Adolf Hitler documentary drama.
Much of the Hitler in Argentina research archive accessed by Williams had been gathered while Abel Basti was a correspondent for the newspaper Ambito Financiero and had been held for safekeeping in the Newspaper’s film archive. Newspaper Editor Mr D’aloia was alerted to a seriously libellous Grey Wolf book preface in December 2011. He immediately responded with a letter to the B.A.J and to Barnes & Noble Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Bradley A Feuer in New York, refuting the false statement;
‘I must make it emphatically clear as regards that material, that the company ‘Ambito Financiero’ never, either via me or any other authorized person, gave Mr Gerrard Williams any right over that material… it is not possible for any rights to have been given since the exclusive owner of that material is Mr Basti.’ To date Mr Da’Aloia has never received a reply neither from Williams nor Barnes & Noble.
The Argentine Grey Wolf production crew and administrative staff have never sued Williams and Peterson for payment and have grudgingly accepted their losses. They feel it would be almost impossible to file an international case against an intimidating foreign producer and afford the extortionate legal costs and timescales the Argentine legal system would require.
Magnus Peterson has been jailed, but his Gerbil Films Ltd partner Gerard Williams who was financed by Peterson for the Grey Wolf projects with over £2 million of Weavering cash seems to be riding high and dry on the successful sales of the book, which has now been translated into various languages and sold internationally. Williams has added to his Grey Wolf income through the recent publication of the salvaged film material from the original Argentine Grey Wolf film project. The documentary drama, which has been broadcast on Australian TV and issued on DVD, has been distributed in at least 8 countries. Magnus Peterson is named as ‘Producer’ with Williams as ‘Director’ and their names appear together on the IMDb website. Basti has never received a penny in royalties as to the original agreement.
It may be argued that Williams is just an innocent bystander caught up in the criminal fallout of the Weavering Hedge Fund affair. But such professional negligence and dishonesty on such a grand scale can hardly be casual, especially as Williams thanks Peterson for his “undying friendship” in the acknowledgments of the Grey Wolf’ book and mentions Peterson as his “benefactor, supporter, and convivial companion’’. Then add Williams’ gushing appraisal of Peterson to witness accounts of lavish Argentine Grey Wolf production dinners. Crates of expensive wine were imbibed during late night ‘production’ parties, where witnesses claim those frequent bash’s were attended by sultry ‘high class prostitutes’ and people delivering dubious looking powdery substances. All of this has apparently been documented on an Argentine production assistant’s cell phone.
More importantly are the reports of frequent ‘cash runs’ across the Argentine border by boat to the Uruguayan port of Montevideo. Where naïve Argentine production staff were sent as couriers to draw down ‘as much cash as possible’ from multiple cash point machines and Uruguayan banks. It’s clear from these allegations that something is seriously amiss behind Gerrard Williams’ Grey Wolf, which requires formal investigation by the Weavering Hedge fund victims.
In 2013 I contacted the chambers of the London law firm fighting for the victims, after I heard that Magnus Peterson was undergoing investigations by the Serious Fraud Office. Unfortunately for the Weavering investors, their London attorneys showed little if any interest and failed to return my calls. However only weeks later, I was curiously contacted by a former Financial Times and Jane’s Defence correspondent, who was now working in business intelligence investigations out of Bogota. He told me he was aware I was ‘’investigating Williams activities in Argentina’’ and that he had been asked by a ‘client’ to contact me for information regarding the ‘’media man’’ who was ‘’heavily funded by Weavering’’ to which he referred to as a ‘’fraudulent ponzi fund’’.
I had a few conversations with this agent who is currently working for the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (ABIN), who later went on to say that it was ‘’all very strange, to say the least’’ and that he wished to know what my analysis and findings were of a situation where Weavering kept ‘’funneling money into the peculiar Grey Wolf project’’, despite it being a ‘’loss-making venture’’ where ‘’money went missing’’ and where, Williams, had obviously imported funds into Argentina ‘’without declaring them’’. He also wished to know whether Williams had met with any Government officials while here in Buenos Aires and in Uruguay.
I was aware at the time that this British agent was also working for Kroll, the world’s leading risk and security consultancy who operates out of New York and which has extremely close ties with the C.I.A. and U.S. administration. If I were Williams, I would be more than a little concerned to be under such a powerful microscope, unless I had my Grey Wolf production accounts fully in order and above board.
It is ironic that Williams’ weekly cash-runs were taken via the same stretch of river where in 1939 the German pocket battleship Admiral Graf Spee was scuttled by her captain, after being severely damaged by Royal Navy cruisers in the Battle of the River Plate. While Williams used the narrow Buenos Aires to Montevideo maritime route to line his pockets and throw parties with money later found to have been stolen from pension funds, Captain Hans Langsdorff, on the other hand, had a deep sense of honour. The German captain was guilt ridden after committing what naval analysts termed a ‘’grievous tactical error’’. As a consequence, Langsdorff who had no choice but to scuttle the mighty ‘Graff Spee’ rather than allow her to fall into enemy British hands, only hours later, agonising with shame, put on his best dress uniform, lay down on his national flag and blew his brains out across a Buenos Aires hotel room.
Magnus Peterson personally made roughly $9.2 million from the Weavering Hedge Fund fraud, but he is now locked up at Her Majesty’s pleasure for the next 13 years for his crimes. Gerrard Williams is estimated to have used over $2 million in cash from the Weavering Fund, while in Argentina, processed through a deliberately mismanaged production where people are still not paid. He plagiarised people’s’ work and denied their moral rights. He presented and published false information, yet is still unaccountable with a fully inflated ego and professional reputation which remains intact.
Hard working people lost their savings and pensions through Weavering, but the Grey Wolf book and film royalties – which are technically owned by the author and investigator Abel Basti and the Weavering fund victims, are still rolling in for Williams, Peterson and Barnes & Noble. A sad state of affairs from a British mainstream media newsman of 30 years, whose dubious modus operandi and connections to the Weavering Hedge Fund have to date been ignored by the UK press.
But nothing can sum up Magnus Peterson’s sidekick Gerrard Williams character better than an account of his actions while filming Grey Wolf;
Williams in exchange for a child’s featured acting role in Argentina, offered the young boy a Play-Station rather than money as payment. The child and his parents were happy about this, even though the salary for a featured role should buy several games consoles. Rather than send a production assistant out to Buenos Aires to buy the promised reward, Williams told the child that as the ‘Play-Station’ was ‘So expensive in Argentina’ he would bring it with him on his next trip over from London. Needless to say, that child is now a young man and is still waiting for his promised prize.

If he & Eva Braun didn't commit suicide, Martin Bormann, who by that time was Major Desmond Morton, 'M' Section MI6's agent, almost certainly would have shot the pair dead.
There is a clear purpose in the disinformation about Hitler surviving the war. To obscure top Allies arranging the escape of his far less idealistic and more ruthless deputy.
You've probably come across the notion, which has gained credibility since the 2012 publication of Simon Dunstan's 'Grey Wolf', that Adolf Hitler survived the Berlin bunker and lived out most of the rest of his life in Argentina. The, what I believe is Grey Wolf's fabricated stab at perverting history has been followed by Jerome Corsi's Hunting Hitler (2014) and Harry Cooper's 'Hitler in Argentina' (2014) spoilers. It was MI6's Hugh Trevor-Roper who began to form today's 'historical' impressions about the end of the top of the Nazi heirarchy as the Red Army closed in on Berlin at the end of April 1945, in his 1947 book The Last Days of Hitler.
As a Theosopy/Thule society trained godless idealist Hitler literally had nothing to live for as the final edifices of his dream empire crumbled around him. But his Gauleiter, treasurer, private secretary Martin Bormann, who'd controlled promotion within the Nazi party and access to Hitler since Rudolf Hess's flight to Scotland just days before the German army launched its surprise attack, Barbarossa, on Soviet Russia, was another story. Since Hitler's post D-Day 'Nero Decree' which demanded a scorched earth policy Bormann had been in a difficult position. The German industrialists he represented, particularly via his Swiss banking contacts, had every intention of continuing their empires after the war and that meant leaving as much industrial infrastructure, which included bridges, factories, mines etc. as intact as possible.
The impetus for overriding the Nero Decree came from the August 1944 Red House Meeting, which Bormann organised, but didn't attend in person. Here, all Germany's industrialist met at Strasbourg's Red House Hotel in the morning to agree terms for consolidating their wealth and continuing after the war, after lunch, most businesmenn were sent home leaving just those concerned with the most sensitive arms manufacturing and banking interests. Money was to be squirreled away, mostly in Switzerland, and everything was prepared for Germany industry to survive the war. So it was in August 1944 that Bormann began altering Hitler's orders, making it clear that Germany intended to survive the war but that people better not tell the fanatical Fuhrer.
Former aide de camp to General Haig in WWI and head of economic warfare between the wars, Desmond Morton was to Churchill what Bormann was to Hitler, and the two private secretaries were in touch as the war closed. Bormann was a necessary account signatory who could relaese funds in Swiss bank accounts and all sorts of stolen goodies, safety deposit boxes. He was the one the Allies wanted, the Swiss banks demanded his signature, and he was the one who could offer unimagined riches to whoever could offer him safe passage. Both Morton and Bormann agreed they needed to fake Bormann's death to kill off post-war questions about what had happened to the Nazis' looted billions.
So there were two reasons why Operation Market Garden had to be sabotaged, firstly to allow the Nazis to get as much of the wealth they'd taken from all the vaults of Europe as possible out and to safe-havens like Argentina and Switzerland, secondly to allow the Red Army to do the hard slog to Berlin and take the bulk of the casualties in the closing months of the war. And, in my opinion, it was the 'in joke' of the Oosterbeek massacre in September 1944 near Arnhem that led to the spawning there of the Bilderberg meetings in 1954, after the massacre of the British airborne forces in the 'witches cauldron' in the same spot, a decade before.
So, back to the books about the bunker, before the recent spate of spoilers, in 1998, it was a book called The Hunt For Martin Bormann by Charles Whiting that attempted to prove that Bormann had been killed escaping the Berlin bunker. As this extract explains, the book was timed to come out just as the dark forces trying to block the publication of Churchill, Morton and Fleming's commando-spy John-Ainsworth Davis' true acount were running out of steam. Vast amounts of time and money have been spent trying to obscure this treacherous dealing between some top allies willing to trade safe passage for a share of the Nazi treasury.
I hope that helps to set the scene for this account from a wonderful journalist and critic, who felt the story of Bormann, and his rescue by a special outfit financed personally by King George VI, was important enough to take up the longest chapter of his memoirs.

(i) Involved in the mystery of Nazi Gold
The Fuhrer and his cohorts re-entered my life over 40 years later when I received a mysterious letter in response to an article I had written about my first day at the Evening Standard, back in 1947. On that day, the Standard's editor, Herbert Gunn, told me that my initial assignment, because I was a German army expert and had just written Defeat in the west, was to go to Berlin and find Martin Bormann. Startled by such a task, I protested, 'But Bormann is dead. I don't think it would be much of a story.'
'Are you sure he's dead?' persisted Gunn. '1 thought there was considerable doubt about that.'
'Yes,' I said. 'Some historians don't believe the evidence, but it would take some time to discover anything fresh.'
'How long?'
'About three or four weeks at least. And it would be rather expensive with probably nothing new to show for it.'
Gunn pondered my reply for a few minutes.
'Alright,' he said. 'If you don't think you can find Martin Bormann will you go to the Palladium and interview Chico Marx?'
Like a barrister who one day will sue a tabloid for libel and soon after defend another tabloid for a similar sort of libel, the journalist's briefs are the idiosyncratic demands of his editor. News, the lifeblood of a newspaper, has no orderly agenda. The dominant criterion of a journalist's work is readability; chronology is far less important.
In August 1989, complying with the imperative of topicality that is expected to dominate every weekly newspaper column, I used the peg of the anniversary of the defeat of Japan to write about the last days of Hitler. I retold my first day's experience on the Evening Standard when I was told to go to Berlin and find Martin Bormann. The headline read 'Find Bormann? But he's dead. . .'
My life has had many curious twists but none so strange as the Consequences of that innocuous headline on the next eight years of my career. The following day I received a letter from Christopher Creighton. The name meant nothing to me, although he assured me we had met some years before because of my friendship with his sister, a very attractive girl who was studying to become an opera singer. She gave up those aspirations when she married the owner of a small country inn and helped him run it. I had not seen her for many years when I heard that she had unexpectedly died after a brief illness.
Creighton, knowing my background in Intelligence, thought I might be more interested in Bormann than was indicated in my column. Did I want to know how he and Ian Fleming got him out? To establish his credentials as someone knowledgeable about Intelligence and Security matters, he told me he was the author of The Paladin, a novel written with Brian Garfield, which was based upon his true operations as a boy spy in 1940 and '41. The book was a great success, having made the best-seller lists in Britain and America, sold over 100,000 copies and been serialized in the Daily Express.
My first inclination was to treat the letter as one of those crank missives, usually written in red or purple ink, that often plague journalists and are dealt with by a quick toss into the nearest wastepaper basket. But because I had been extremely fond of his sister - and I was convinced that his introductory credentials were genuine - I felt I ought to put him off with a courteous reply. I asked Angus McGill, the paper's most experienced feature writer, for some advice about how to handle this strange note and, to my surprise, he was intrigued by its contents. He urged me not to dismiss Creighton and to find out more about him. I decided to give him a call. It was a decision that was to involve me in an intriguing international mystery whose ramifications - after having been investigated by intelligence experts, historians, academics and journalists - are still bewilderingly unresolved eight years after I first spoke to Christopher Creighton.
I listened with increasing fascination to the startling story Creighton summarized for me on the phone. I was, of course, well aware of the atmosphere of disbelief that existed in Fleet Street about any purported account of yet untold secrets about the final days of Germany's defeat. There had been a gullible market for such tales in the years immediately after the Armistice, but two intricate stories that turned out to be elaborate hoaxes had converted this area of historical speculation into a mendacious minefield that no editor was likely to put a toe into.
The editor of the Daily Express, Stewart Steven, was forced to admit that he had been conned into believing Martin Bormann had been discovered alive in the Argentine. An even more notorious hoax was the forging of documents purporting to be Hitler's War Diaries, which had taken in the Sunday Times as well as other respectable European papers. When Creighton had divulged what appeared to be another incredible Bormann story I told him I was intrigued by his tale but I had a small reputation as a military historian and did not want it to suffer the fate of Hugh Trevor-Roper, the author of The Last Days of Hitler, who supported the authenticity of Hitler's Diaries only to have to make a humiliating confession that he had been thoroughly duped.
After the collapse of the Ardennes offensive, the failure of Hitler's V-I and V-2 secret weapons to wreak any significant havoc against England and the speedy advance of the Russian armies in the East, it was obvious to anyone other than an ardent Nazi fanatic that Germany, had lost the war. By the beginning of 1945, senior Nazi officials and functionaries were already making plans to get as much money as they could out of Germany, and trying to arrange some bolt-hole for themselves and their families in some neutral land, either disguised or not.
Vast amounts of gold, foreign currency and art treasures were being lodged in foreign banks, chiefly in Switzerland. Some of those closest to Hitler - Ribbentrop, Goering, Himmler - were making clandestine approaches to contacts in Sweden, Portugal, Switzerland, Paraguay and the Argentine for a safe haven after the surrender and Hitler's expected assassination or suicide.
They assumed that, even if they were arrested after the war, they might have to face a term in prison after which they could live out their days with the hidden resources they had stashed away. The concept of War Crimes trials and the execution of the defeated leaders was a novel and unthinkable prospect. After Germany's defeat in the First World War political and military leaders like the Kaiser, Hindenburg and Ludendorff had been allowed to become prominent and powerful figures in a vanquished Germany. It was a tradition that the Nazi establishment expected the Allied victors to respect.
Aware of the avalanche of German resources and pillaged treasures leaving the Reich, Churchill was determined to do something about it. One of the many steps taken was to put Naval Commander Ian Lancaster Fleming in charge of an exercise to discover where some of this gold and currency was being hidden and how it could be returned to the Allies when the war was over. He had been the personal assistant to the Director of Naval Intelligence, Rear-Admiral John Godfrey. In Room 60 in the Admiralty on the 4th January 1945 Fleming met Major Desmond Morton, Churchill's personal security chief and a personal friend since World War I.
Creighton told me that Morton was his godfather. Morton, born in 1891, had served in the First World War and received a bullet in his heart which no operation could remove and remained with him all his life. His bravery was recognized by his awards of a Military Cross, a Croix de Guerre and a mention in despatches. After the war he was seconded to the Foreign Office and In 1930 he set up a body known as the Industrial Intelligence Centre, a front for a super-secret organisation which was privately financed by successive monarchs George V, Edward VIII and George VI.
Although Creighton referred to it as the M Section, he told me that there was no official intelligence operation with that title. One of its earliest activities was to Supply Winston Churchill, then out of office, with Information about German rearmament, which helped alert the Baldwin and Chamberlain governments about Hitler's aggressive intentions.
Creighton described Morton as a tall, athletic man with an authoritative manner and an upper-class accent. He was a friend of Creighton's father, Jack Ainsworth- Davis, who had qualified as a doctor at Cambridge and was a member of the British 4 x 400 metre relay team which won a gold medal at the Antwerp Olympics in 1920. Involved with supporting that team were three undergraduates: Sub-Lieutenant Lord Louis Mountbatten and two of his cousins, the Duke of York (later George VI) and his younger brother, the Duke of Gloucester. These contacts with his father brought the young Creighton, as a boy, to the attention of both Desmond Morton, Churchill and Lord Louis Mountbatten.
As a surgeon, Jack Ainsworth- Davis had operated on Joachim von Ribbentrop when he was Germany's ambassador to Britain. They were also on social terms. Their friendship had begun when they were at school together in Metz before the First World War. It was there that Creighton's father spent a year studying German. Convinced that war was on the way, Morton could see in the young Creighton's social contacts with Ribbentrop prospects of using him in some clandestine activity when hostilities began. After Creighton's parents divorced, Morton had him enrolled at Ampleforth for a short period and then sent him to the Royal Naval College at Dartmouth in September, 1939, at the age of fifteen and a half, where he was instructed to call himself by a pseudonym and never be known as John Davis nor John Ainsworth-Davis again.
I learned about this background information many months after I agreed to offer him some advice about the book he was planning about Martin Bormann. His first letters were so startling, giving me a general outline of what he had done, that I could not resist finding out much more about it.
The task Fleming was given when he met both Morton and Churchill early in 1945 was to discover what means the German government and the Nazi Party were using to remove from their territory the billions of pounds of cash, gold, jewellery and art treasures and hide it away in foreign banks and secret caves where it could be recovered when the war was over. Using intelligence resources that had been nurtured before the war, Fleming discovered the names of two Swiss banks where this plundered loot was held in secret numbered accounts. In the course of acquiring this information and transmitting it by wireless to England, a young woman secret agent, very close to Creighton, had been tortured and murdered.

The last witness to Hitler's death has revealed what happened in the Fuhrer's final moments as well as clues as to his relationship with lover Eva Braun and the truth behind Rudolf Hess' peace mission to the UK.
Hitler's personal bodyguard Rochus Misch has also offered an intimate look in the private lives of the Nazi dictator and those close to him.
Candid pictures show Hitler and Eva Braun, among others, relaxing on the terrace at the Berghof residence, inside one of Hitler's many studies and homes and Misch standing guard.
The details of Hitler's last minutes and other details about his private life have been revealed in Rochus Misch's, who passed away in 2013, book, Hitler's Last Witness, which is available to English readers for the first time and is published by Pen and Sword.

On April 30, 1945, Rochus Misch was at the switchboard in Hitler's bunker, said the book's commissioning editor, Martin Mace.
He received the message from General Keitel that he had failed to break the Soviet encirclement of Berlin, and that the end was both close at hand and inevitable.
Shortly afterwards, Misch heard Hitler talking quietly to Bormann and others. He looked and saw Hitler walk into his study, Eva, now Mrs Hitler, followed him in.

He saw Otto Gunsche, the Furhers adjutant, close the door behind the newly-married couple.
Gunsche told Misch that the boss was not to be disturbed.
Hitler shook hands with Gunsche and told him that all soldiers were released from their oath of loyalty.
Hitler had already told his adjutant that he did not want his body to be publicly abused as Mussolini's had been and that he wanted his corpse to be burned.
This had already been arranged by Gunsche with an SS Reichssicherheitsdienst man who assisted Misch on the switchboard.

Everyone in the bunker waited nervously. Then there was some commotion.
The study door was opened and Misch looked inside: "My glance fell first on Eva. She was seated with her legs drawn up, her head inclined towards Hitler.
"Her shoes were under the sofa. Near her - the dead Hitler. His eyes were open and staring, his head had fallen forward slightly."
After being seriously wounded in the 1939 Polish campaign, Rochus Misch was invited to join Hitler's SS-bodyguard.

There he served until the end of the war as Hitler's bodyguard, courier, orderly and finally as Chief of Communications.
From his close contact with the Nazi dictator Misch could observe many things and believed Hitler and Eva Braun were lovers long before it was revealed.
For instance, Eva was introduced to staff and visitors as the 'housekeeper' at the Berghof, said Mr Mace.
But her room and Hitler's had private communicating doors.

"One soon had one's own ideas about this", Misch commented.
He also saw Eva in a 'flimsy nightie' in the guest room when he was on his way to deliver some dispatches to Hitler.
Eva put her finger to her mouth to tell Misch to say nothing.
Misch shot out of the room, fully expecting to be dismissed from Hitler's bodyguard (or worse!) but Eva, seemingly, said nothing to Hitler about it.
He also states that he heard both Eva and Magada Goebbels declare their determination to die with their respective men.

"We have lived with them. We shall die with them", they said.
Misch also confirmed that Rudolf Hess did not have Hitler's permission to go to the UK to negotiate terms of surrender.
He saw how the news was given to Hitler by Hess' adjutant, Karl-Heinz Pintsch as Hess had arranged, said Mr Mace.

Hitler was outraged, tirelessly repeating to himself: "Why did he do this to me?"
Anyone who had knowledge of Hess=92 flight to Britain was arrested and sent to Sachsenhausen concentration camp.

He died in Berlin. His dentist was captured after the war by the Americans. Two of his dental techs were captured by the Russians. Each independently reconstructed the details of Hitler's dental work from memory. Their reconstructions meshed completely, and they fit with the details of the dental work on the jaw fragments attributed to Hitler AND to the skull X-rays taken of him by his doctor after the July 20 bomb attempt. Bottom line, there is solid forensic proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Hitler died in Berlin. I do think that Hitler died in Berlin : the Soviets would have done EVERYTHING to catch him if they weren't 300% sure that he was dead. However, I think that the whole "Hitler's alive" theory was created as to distract Nazi hunters from the fact that many bona fide Nazi criminals ended up escaping prosecution, often with the help of the victorious powers.
This way, people would try to go after Hitler instead of trying to track lesser Nazi officials who did take part in unspeakable crimes and lived their lives without a trial.
