CHIEF Superintendent David O'Connor has called for search warrants to be scrapped, saying "Police should be granted power to enter people's homes without warrants". But recent events from certain elements in the police have shown that they can't be trusted. Warrrants are there to stop the police riding roughshod over people. You have to show just cause to get a search warrant and we can't leave that up to the police.
